Home Care in West Sussex 212 home care agencies · 135 rated Good by CQC

This page sets the home care agencies in West Sussex side by side, so families can compare providers on the evidence rather than on whichever name a friend happened to mention. Two hundred and five agencies match the search, all of them registered to deliver personal care in a person's own home rather than in a residential setting. Inspection outcomes across the list include Outstanding, Good and Requires Improvement, alongside agencies not yet carrying a published rating, which is common where a provider has registered recently. West Sussex County Council is the body that carries out a care needs assessment and arranges funded support for anyone who meets the eligibility rules, so a call to the council is a sensible early step whoever expects to pay. From there, open the profiles that cover your postcode, read what inspectors recorded in the full report behind each rating, and use those findings to decide which agencies deserve a conversation about timings, tasks and cost.

We are Kardinal Healthcare, supporting adults in their own homes across Worthing and this part of West Sussex. The range of people we work with is wide. Older people and people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities or autism, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, younger adults, people managing an eating disorder, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Those are genuinely different kinds of support and we would rather acknowledge that than claim one approach fits them all. What they share is that the plan is built with the person rather than handed over to them. In practice our visits might cover personal care, support with medication, meals, help around the house, getting out, and company. Some people need a brief daily call and others need us several times a day. Continuity matters more than almost anything else in this work, particularly where trust has taken a while to establish. So we try to keep the same small group of workers going to the same person, and we keep to the times we have agreed. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk.

- Home Care
Heart Bridge Care is a home care agency in Crawley, supporting people in their own homes across West Sussex. We work with older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people who have a physical disability. Everyone we meet at a first visit says more or less the same thing: they would like to stay where they are. Making that realistic, for as long as it is safe and genuinely the better option, is the whole of our purpose. The work is practical. Help with washing and dressing. Medication managed and recorded carefully. Meals cooked rather than opened. Help to move safely about a home that may no longer suit its occupant. A dependable person in a week that might otherwise be empty. And a proper break for the families who have been holding things together on their own. We send the same carers to the same households wherever we can. That continuity is the mechanism rather than the presentation: a carer who knows somebody notices the meal left untouched, the new bruise, the confusion that was not there a fortnight ago. For people living with dementia, familiarity and an unhurried pace achieve what explanation cannot. For people with a physical disability, we learn the individual's preferred way of being assisted to move rather than applying a standard technique. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. Call us and we will be plain about what we can do.

At Hilton Home Care in Bognor Regis, West Sussex, we provide care and support to people in the place they feel most comfortable: their own home. We work with a wide range of individuals, including older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, those with learning disabilities or autism, people with mental health needs, and individuals with physical disabilities or visual and hearing impairments. We know that inviting a care provider into your home is a big decision, and we do not take that trust lightly. From the very first conversation, we take time to understand what matters to each person, not just what support they need practically, but how they want to live their life and who they want to be. Care plans are built around the individual, and we regularly review them to make sure they still reflect what the person wants. Our team is made up of people who genuinely take pride in the work they do. We invest in their training and development so that they are well equipped to support people with a variety of needs, including those that require a more specialist approach such as dementia care or support for people with complex conditions. We are regulated by the Care Quality Commission and are proud to hold a rating of Good across our service. That reflects not only the standard of care we provide but the culture we have worked to build, one where people are treated with dignity, where families feel informed and included, and where staff feel supported to do their jobs well. If you are exploring care options for yourself or someone close to you, we are always happy to have an honest conversation about whether we might be the right fit. We are based in Bognor Regis and support people across West Sussex.

Molly Care provides care and support in people's own homes in Littlehampton and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. Our work is about making home a place where somebody can be properly supported, so that staying put remains a real choice. We support older adults with the things that have become harder over time: personal care, medication, meals, keeping on top of the house and getting out when they want to. We support people living with dementia, where a familiar face arriving at an expected time does more good than any amount of organised activity. We work with people living with mental health conditions, where consistency and a relationship built steadily over time count for a great deal, and with people who have physical disabilities, helping with washing, dressing and mobility in a way that leaves the person directing how it is done. We support younger adults too, whose support is planned around work, study, family and independence rather than a standard pattern. Wherever the rota allows, the same small group of workers visits each person, because familiar staff notice small changes and because nobody wants to explain themselves afresh each week. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us and ask whatever you need to before deciding anything.

Nurseplus in Crawley provides care and support to people in their own homes across the town and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have learning disabilities and autism, with people managing mental health conditions or eating disorders, with people affected by alcohol or drug misuse, and with people who have physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment. Working across that range means we cannot have a single approach. What we have is a way of starting, which is to understand the whole situation rather than the referral heading, and to plan with the person rather than for them. Somebody may be managing a long term condition while also coming through a difficult period with alcohol, and treating those as separate problems rarely helps either. Our carers help with personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and getting out into the community, and we aim for consistency of staff. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating. We say so plainly.

Caremark Worthing and Adur supports people in their own homes across Worthing, Lancing, Shoreham and the surrounding area. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have mental health needs, physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, with younger adults, with people recovering from an eating disorder and with people affected by alcohol or drug misuse. That breadth works because every package is planned individually. We visit first, talk it through with the person and anyone they want present, agree in plain language what help is needed and what they want from it, then review it as things change. A visit might mean personal care and medication, help with meals, shopping and the house, or support to get out to appointments, work or the places that keep somebody connected. Where a person is in recovery, we follow the plan agreed with them and the professionals involved rather than improvising. Continuity is what families judge us on, so we introduce carers properly, keep the same small team going into each home and ring if we are running late. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please get in touch and we will come out and talk through what support might look like.

Ansa Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Crawley and across West Sussex. The people we work with include older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people managing mental health conditions or an eating disorder, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. That is a wide range of need, and what holds it together is that we start from the person rather than from a package we happen to offer. We visit first, listen properly, and agree what help is wanted, how often and who will provide it, with family or an advocate involved whenever somebody wants them there. Reliability is the substance of this work. Arriving when we said we would, with somebody who already knows the household, is worth more than anything we could claim here. So we keep teams small and local, brief staff properly before they start with somebody new, and avoid unannounced substitutions. Where a person's needs call for particular knowledge, whether that is an eating disorder, advanced dementia, a mental health condition or a way of communicating that is not speech, we make sure the people visiting understand it and we work alongside the relevant clinical and community teams rather than around them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about support for yourself or a relative.

Caremark Horsham and Pulborough provides care and support in people's own homes across Pulborough, Horsham and the surrounding West Sussex villages. We are a home care agency, which means our work happens on your terms and in your house. We support a wide range of people. Older people who need help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and getting out. People living with dementia, supported by a consistent team who learn the person rather than just the plan. Adults with learning disabilities and autism, and younger adults who want support arranged around their own life. People with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We also support people managing mental health conditions, people affected by eating disorders, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs, and in all of that we take the same approach: agree the plan together, keep it under review, and do not judge. Visits can be short daily calls or a fuller package across the day. What we will not do is promise a level of support we cannot reliably staff. If we can cover it, we will say so; if we cannot, we will tell you that instead of letting you down later. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Here at L'Arche Bognor Regis, we provide home care to people living in Bognor Regis and the surrounding areas of West Sussex. Our work focuses particularly on supporting individuals with learning disabilities and autism, and we take real pride in the relationships we build with the people we care for and their families. We are part of the wider L'Arche community, an international movement rooted in the belief that people with learning disabilities have a great deal to offer the world around them. That ethos shapes everything we do. We are not simply here to deliver tasks and move on. We are here to share life with people, to listen carefully, and to support each person to live as fully and independently as they choose. Our team works with people in their own homes, which we think matters enormously. Being supported in a familiar environment, surrounded by your own things and your own routines, makes a genuine difference to how people feel day to day. We work hard to understand what matters most to each individual and to build support around that, rather than expecting people to fit around us. We are pleased that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission awarded us an overall rating of good. We see that as an honest reflection of the care and thought our team brings to their work, and we remain committed to continuing to improve. If you are thinking about care for yourself or for someone you love, we would genuinely welcome the chance to have a conversation. There is no pressure and no obligation. We simply want to help you understand what support might look like and whether we could be the right fit. Please do get in touch with us here in Bognor Regis.

We work with older people and people living with dementia, with people who have mental health needs, physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, and with younger adults who need support to live independently. Our visits are built around the person's own routine rather than a fixed package. That might be a call first thing to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day starts safely, support at several points with meals, mobility, laundry and the house, or a hand to get out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. For plenty of the households we visit, having somebody familiar with time to talk properly counts for as much as anything else we do. We come out before anything begins, agree the plan with the person and whoever they want involved, write it in plain words and review it as needs change. We say honestly when we think somebody needs more than can safely be provided at home. Continuity is what families judge us on, so we work to send the same carers to the same households, arrive when we said we would and ring if we are running behind. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.

Native Care provides support at home to adults in Worthing and across West Sussex. We visit older people who need help to carry on living in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently. Our visits cover personal care given without rushing, prompting and support with medication, meals, laundry, shopping and help to get out to appointments or simply out for some air. Some people need half an hour first thing and nothing more. Others need several longer calls a day, and needs shift over time, so we review arrangements honestly rather than letting a plan sit unchanged. For people living with dementia, home is often the very thing keeping them settled, and that makes continuity essential rather than merely desirable. The same carers arriving at the same times will do more good than anything else we could offer. For people with sight or hearing loss we adapt how we announce ourselves and explain what we are doing, because being unable to follow what is happening around you is isolating in a way that is easy to underestimate. If you are arranging care at home locally, please get in touch and we will talk it through.

Caremark in Arun provides care and support to people in their own homes in Arundel and across this part of West Sussex. We work with older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia or with mental ill health, people with a learning disability, people who are autistic, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Everything begins with a visit and a proper conversation. We want to understand how the day goes now, where it has become difficult and what kind of help would genuinely be welcome, because help nobody asked for is rarely useful. From that we agree a plan with the person and, if they wish, with their family, and we keep it under review. Visits can cover getting up and settling at night, washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals, help around the home, shopping and getting out to appointments or social occasions. We also give family carers the dependable cover that allows them to keep going themselves. We aim to send the same carers to the same households, because familiarity is what makes personal care acceptable and it is how problems get noticed early. Elite Choice Home Care supports people in their own homes in Hassocks and across the surrounding parts of West Sussex. We are a home care agency, which means the care comes to you, at times agreed with you, and fits around your day. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need care that keeps them independent. Because those needs differ so much, we always begin with a conversation about how your day runs now, what has become hard, and what you would like to carry on doing for yourself. Support might cover personal care, prompting and help with medication, meals and shopping, keeping the household going, or company and a steady presence for someone who finds the days quiet. We keep our teams small and consistent, because being cared for by someone who knows you is a completely different experience from being cared for by a stranger, and because familiarity is what lets a care worker spot a change early. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. We keep our own checks going between inspections rather than waiting to be assessed again. Unicare Complex Care Specialist supports people in their own homes in Shoreham by Sea and across the surrounding parts of West Sussex. We are a home care agency, and our particular focus is on people whose needs are complex enough that ordinary arrangements are not sufficient. We support people living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Complex care at home only works if it is planned properly and reviewed honestly, so we start with a thorough conversation about how somebody lives now, what their health and support needs actually require, and what they want to keep doing for themselves. We would far rather build an arrangement from scratch than adapt a standard package that was never going to fit. We keep our teams consistent, which matters more in complex care than anywhere else. Somebody who knows a person well notices small changes early, and early is when they are easiest to deal with. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating. Until then, we would rather you asked us direct questions and spoke to the people we already support. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia or with mental ill health, people with a learning disability, people who are autistic, people with a physical disability and people with a sensory impairment. We work on the basis that good care at home is built on a relationship. People are visited by the same small group of care professionals, matched thoughtfully rather than allocated at random, and visits are long enough to do the job properly and still have a conversation. A carer who knows somebody well will notice the early signs that health is slipping and will know how to persuade a reluctant person to eat or to get out of the house. Support ranges from companionship and help around the home through to personal care, medication, meals and assistance getting out to appointments, groups and shops. We at Lionheart Domiciliary Care are proud to offer trusted home care across Chichester and the wider West Sussex area, supporting individuals to live safely, comfortably and independently within the familiar surroundings of their own homes. Based in the PO postcode area, our team is ideally placed to reach people throughout Chichester and its surrounding communities. Rather than asking those we support to adapt to a new environment, we bring compassionate care directly to where our clients feel most at ease: their own front door. Whether that is a family home in a quiet village, a bungalow near the coast, or a flat in the heart of the city, we tailor our visits around the rhythms and routines that make each home unique. Our care covers a broad spectrum of needs, allowing us to walk alongside people at many different stages of life. We provide dedicated support for older people who may need a helping hand with daily living, as well as specialist dementia care delivered with patience, understanding and a focus on preserving dignity. For those living with mental health conditions, physical disabilities, or visual and hearing impairments, we adapt our approach to meet each person as an individual, never as a diagnosis. We also welcome younger adults who benefit from thoughtful, personalised support to pursue the lifestyle they choose. In practice, this means families can expect care that flexes to real life. From assistance with personal care, medication reminders and mobility, through to companionship, meal preparation and support with community access, our aim is always to lighten the load for loved ones whilst empowering the person we care for. We understand that inviting a care team into a family member's home is a significant step, and we work hard to build relationships founded on trust, consistency and open communication. As a newer presence on the CareCompass directory, Lionheart Domiciliary Care is currently listed as Not Yet Rated by the Care Quality Commission. This simply reflects that a first full inspection has not yet been published, and we welcome families to speak with us directly about our approach, our team, and the standards we hold ourselves to every single day. If you are exploring home care options in Chichester for yourself or someone dear to you, we would be delighted to hear from you. A gentle conversation can often bring welcome clarity during an uncertain time, and our door is always open to answer questions, share information, and help you feel confident about the next step.

We are Denise Care, based in Crawley and supporting people in their own homes across this part of West Sussex. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need support to live independently. Home care only works if it fits the life it is meant to support, so we begin with a visit and a proper conversation rather than a standard offer. We want to understand what a person can still do and wants to keep doing, what has genuinely become hard, and how they would prefer to be helped. The plan follows from that and changes as circumstances do. Support might be a short morning call, several visits across the day covering personal care, medication, meals and household tasks, or something more substantial where somebody needs a steady presence to remain safely at home. For a good many of the people we visit, the company is the part of the call that matters most, and we count that as part of the work. We keep the same carers going to the same people as far as the rota allows, and our staff are trained and supervised properly. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Carers 4 U provides care at home for people in Crawley and across West Sussex. Our visits range from a short call to start the day through to several each day, and what we do is agreed with the person rather than offered as a fixed package. For older people we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry, shopping and getting out to appointments or to see friends. We also keep an eye on the wider picture, raising a fading appetite or new unsteadiness early rather than leaving a family to discover it later. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting wherever the rota allows, work with the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about in a home somebody knows well. A familiar voice at the door takes the anxiety out of a visit before it has begun. For people with a physical disability we help with moving safely and with managing day to day as independently as possible. We also support younger adults, fitting visits around work, study and family life. Our care workers are trained for the people they actually visit, and we will be honest with you if a need is beyond what we can safely provide. Please ring us if you would like to talk about support at home here.

We are YourLife (Littlehampton), a home care agency supporting people in their own homes in Littlehampton and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. We work with older people, including those with a physical disability and those who have a visual or hearing impairment. Our starting point is the life somebody already has rather than a list of what we could provide. What does an ordinary day look like, what has become difficult, and what does the person want to carry on managing themselves. The support is built from those answers and reviewed as circumstances change. Where someone has a sensory impairment, small things carry a great deal of weight. Speaking so that a person can genuinely follow rather than simply nod. Leaving a room exactly as we found it, because a chair moved half a metre is a hazard and not an untidiness. Checking that a hearing aid is working before concluding that somebody is confused. For people with a physical disability it is mostly about time and detail. Enough time that nothing is rushed, equipment set up properly, and asking how a transfer is best managed rather than assuming. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

- Home Care
We at Oval Care Services Sussex are proud to offer trusted home care across Worthing and the surrounding West Sussex communities, supporting people to live well and safely in the place they love most: their own home. Based in the heart of Worthing within the BN postcode area, our team is well placed to reach individuals and families throughout this friendly coastal town and its neighbouring villages. Being part of the South East, and rooted in the local community, means we understand the rhythms of daily life here, from the seafront promenades to the quieter residential streets, and we tailor our visits around what matters most to each person we support. Home care is about far more than practical assistance. It is about preserving independence, dignity, and the small routines that make a house feel like home. Our support is shaped around each individual, whether that involves help with personal care in the morning, a friendly companion for a midday cup of tea, medication prompts, meal preparation, or overnight reassurance. Families tell us that knowing a familiar, trained carer is arriving makes an enormous difference to peace of mind. Our specialisms reflect the varied needs of the people we care for. For older people, we focus on maintaining confidence and wellbeing, gently supporting daily living whilst encouraging the hobbies and social connections that bring joy. In dementia care, our approach is patient and person centred, drawing on knowledge of how familiar surroundings can ease anxiety and support memory. We work closely with families so that care evolves as needs change, always keeping the individual at the centre of every decision. We also provide thoughtful support for adults living with mental health needs, offering consistent, non judgemental care that helps build stability and trust. For people with physical disabilities, our carers assist with mobility, personal care, and access to the community, focusing on what a person can do rather than what they cannot. Those living with visual or hearing impairments benefit from carers who are mindful of communication preferences and sensory considerations, adapting the way they interact so that every visit feels comfortable and clear. Our care is not limited by age. We support younger adults who may need help to live independently, whether that is due to a long term condition, a disability, or a period of recovery. For many younger people, having the right support at home is what makes it possible to work, study, socialise, and pursue personal goals. We take time to understand ambitions, not just needs, and to build care plans that reflect the life a person wants to lead. What this means in practice for families is straightforward. You can expect open communication, a consistent team of carers wherever possible, and support that adapts as circumstances change. We know that inviting someone into a loved one's home is a significant step, and we do not take that trust lightly. From the very first conversation, we aim to listen carefully, answer questions honestly, and put together a plan that feels right for everyone involved. As a home care provider, we are regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Oval Care Services Sussex is currently listed as Not Yet Rated, which simply reflects that a full inspection rating has not yet been published. This is common for newer registrations or recently established teams and does not indicate any concern about the quality of care being delivered. We remain fully committed to the standards the CQC upholds, and we welcome conversations with families who would like to understand more about our policies, training, and approach to safe, compassionate care. If you are exploring home care options in Worthing for yourself or someone you love, we would be glad to hear from you. Whether you are at the very start of your search, comparing providers, or looking to arrange support quickly following a hospital stay or change in circumstances, our team is here to help you think things through without pressure. A short conversation is often enough to bring clarity and reassurance during what can feel like an overwhelming time. At Oval Care Services Sussex, our purpose is simple

Transforming Support in Sussex provides care and support in people's own homes in Crawley and the surrounding area. Much of our work is with adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people with mental health needs, and we also support older people who need help to keep managing at home. What support looks like depends entirely on the person. For one it may be help with cooking, shopping, laundry, bills and appointments. For another it may be support to use local transport, to get to a job or a college course, to join a club or to keep in touch with family. For someone else the important part is staff who understand how they communicate, what they find overwhelming and how they like the day to be ordered. For older people we help with personal care, medication, meals and the practical running of a home, and with getting out and about. Many of the people we support are younger adults, so we plan around study, work and social life. We take time to get to know a person before making plans, and we involve the people who matter to them where that is wanted. Support is reviewed as things change. Please get in touch if you would like to know more.

Ethica Care West Sussex provides care at home for people in Littlehampton and the surrounding area. We take on a wide range of needs, and each arrangement begins with a proper conversation about what the person wants their day to look like rather than with a standard package. For older people we help with personal care, medication, meals, housework, shopping and getting out and about, and we notice and raise the changes that are easy to overlook. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting, follow the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about in a home that is known by heart. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the emphasis is on independence and on communicating in the way that suits the person, and adults with mental health needs, where reliability and respect do most of the good. We help people with a physical disability to move safely and manage at home, and where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and always say who we are. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments. Our care workers are trained for the people they actually visit, and we will say plainly when a need is beyond us. Prime Care Domiciliary provides care and support in people's own homes across Horsham and the surrounding part of West Sussex. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with physical disabilities or loss of sight or hearing, and people managing mental health conditions, eating disorders, or difficulties with alcohol and drugs. Covering that range means a template would be useless, so we do not use one. We sit down with the person, find out where help is genuinely needed and what they want their days to look like, and build the visits from there. Where somebody is living with an eating disorder, mealtime support calls for particular patience rather than ordinary prompting. Where somebody is working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs, turning up reliably and without judgement does more good than any technique. We keep the same carers with the same households wherever the rota allows. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch to discuss support.

We are Bright Care Horsham, and we provide care and companionship to older people in their own homes in Horsham and the surrounding West Sussex villages. Our visits tend to be longer than the usual quarter hour dash, because we think good care at home needs time in it. Much of what we do is help with the everyday: getting up and dressed, bathing, medication, cooking a proper meal, the shopping, the laundry, a lift to an appointment. Just as much of it is company. Loneliness does real harm, and a care worker who sits down for a cup of tea, looks at the photographs, walks the dog and knows what happened in last week's episode is doing something genuinely useful. We also support people living with dementia. Here continuity is everything, so we work hard to keep the same familiar care workers visiting the same households, and we keep families informed about how things are going rather than waiting to be asked. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that, and we are aware it has to be earned again every week. If you are thinking about support at home for yourself or a relative, please get in touch and we will come and talk it over.

We are Helping Hands Worthing, and we provide care and support to people in their own homes in Worthing and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. Our visits run from a short call to help somebody start the day through to longer periods of support, planned around the person's day rather than our convenience. We also support people with physical disabilities, taking care over equipment and over how each person prefers to be helped, people living with sight or hearing loss, and some younger adults. Everything begins with a visit and a proper conversation at home. We agree what the calls are for and what matters most, write it down, and revisit it when circumstances change. We provide care at home in Crawley and the surrounding parts of West Sussex, supporting older adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults. Our work covers washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and keeping a household ticking over, aimed at what has genuinely become hard rather than at taking over what somebody can still manage themselves. With dementia, consistency does most of the work: the same carer at the same time, in the same order, in a home where nothing has been rearranged. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather put that here than have a family find it elsewhere and wonder why we said nothing about it. We accept what was identified, we are working through it, and we are not going to claim in a paragraph that everything is resolved, because that would not be honest. What we would ask is that anybody considering us puts the question to us directly and presses for specifics: what was found, what has changed, and what is still outstanding. We would also encourage people to speak to those we already visit, since their account of us carries considerably more weight than ours does.

Supported living means something specific to us. The home belongs to the person, not to us, and we are there providing the help that has been asked for. A great deal of our work is about enabling rather than caring in the traditional sense: running a home, managing money, getting to work or college, keeping appointments and seeing the people you choose. We do the parts that genuinely need doing and leave the rest alone. Where somebody is living with an eating disorder or working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs, consistency and an absence of judgement matter more than any technique. INFINITYCARE365 is a home care agency based in Billingshurst, supporting people in their own homes across West Sussex. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia and with people who have physical disabilities, and our purpose is to help people stay in a home they know for as long as they wish to. Our visits are shaped by the person. They may include help to wash and dress, support with medication, preparing meals, assistance with mobility and moving safely about the home, light household tasks, or company and help to get out to appointments and to see people. Some clients need a single short call each day and others need support several times over. We want to be straightforward about where we stand. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have accepted those findings rather than argued with them, and we are working through the areas identified, with closer attention to our care planning, our record keeping, our staff training and the way we respond when a client or a relative raises a concern. Bright Care Chichester is a home care agency supporting people in their own homes in Chichester and the surrounding part of West Sussex. We work with older people, including people living with dementia, and our purpose is a plain one. We help people stay in a home they know, with the support they need arriving reliably. We keep our focus deliberately narrow so that we can do it properly. A visit may involve help to wash and dress, support with medication, preparing meals, assistance with mobility and moving safely about the home, light household tasks and shopping, or simply reliable company at a set time each day. Some clients want a single short call each morning and others need support several times over. Where someone is living with dementia, a familiar face at the door does more good than any amount of explaining, so we work hard to keep the same carers visiting the same people and to keep routines steady. Support is agreed with the person and the family first, written down plainly and reviewed when circumstances change. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are registered with and regulated by them, and we are building the care planning, training and oversight that a good rating properly requires. Anyone considering us is welcome to ask searching questions in the meantime.

Guardian Angel Carers provides care and support in people's own homes across Chichester and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and people with loss of sight or hearing. We have built the way we work around longer visits and consistent carers. A good deal of what matters in home care simply cannot be done properly in fifteen minutes, and personal care goes far better with somebody the household already knows and trusts. Those two commitments make the rota harder to build and they make everything else work. The help covers washing and dressing, medication, meals and drinks, mobility, shopping, getting out to appointments and into the community, household tasks and companionship. For people living with dementia we work with the routines already established at home rather than bringing our own, and we support families too, because caring for a relative is demanding and often isolating. Plans are agreed with the person, written in plain language, and reviewed when circumstances change rather than on a fixed cycle. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to talk about support at home.

Right at Home Chichester and Bognor Regis provides care and support to people in their own homes across the area. We work with older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. Our visits are deliberately longer than the quarter of an hour that home care is often squeezed into. You cannot help somebody wash, dress, take their medication, eat properly and feel like a person in that time. Giving our care staff room to do the job well is the most useful decision we make. Everything begins with a proper conversation in the person's own home about what has become difficult and what they want to keep doing for themselves. We agree a plan from that, involving family or an advocate if the person wishes, and we revise it when circumstances change rather than leaving it to sit. We think carefully about who visits whom, taking account of interests and temperament as well as the practical help needed, and we keep the same small team with each person so that nobody is greeted by a stranger. For autistic people we give notice of change well in advance. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please call us if you would like to talk things over.

We at Direct Support Professionals are proud to provide compassionate home care across Worthing and the wider West Sussex community, supporting individuals to live well and independently in the place they know best: their own home. Based in the BN postcode area on the South East coast, our team works throughout Worthing and its surrounding neighbourhoods, bringing personalised support directly to the people we serve. Rather than asking individuals to adapt to an unfamiliar setting, we step into their world, respecting the rhythms, routines, and surroundings that make each home unique. From quiet residential streets to busier town centre flats, our carers travel to wherever they are needed, offering reliable, attentive care that fits seamlessly into daily life. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the people we support. We provide home care for adults who may require help with everyday tasks such as personal care, medication prompts, meal preparation, and companionship. We also offer dedicated support for individuals with learning disabilities and autism, recognising that every person communicates, processes, and engages with the world in their own way. Our approach is built around understanding each person as an individual, learning their preferences, and supporting them to build confidence, develop skills, and take part in the activities and routines that matter most to them. We additionally support people living with mental health needs, providing steady, respectful care that promotes wellbeing, stability, and a sense of agency. For families, this means knowing that a loved one is not only safe but genuinely understood, with carers who listen carefully and respond with patience and kindness. We believe that good support is about more than completing tasks; it is about building trusting relationships that help people feel valued, heard, and at ease in their own lives. Our work has been independently reviewed by the Care Quality Commission, which awarded us an overall rating of Good. We achieved a Good rating across all five inspection areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. This consistent recognition reflects our commitment to delivering care that is safe, thoughtful, person-centred, and properly managed. For families exploring options, a Good CQC rating offers reassurance that an independent regulator has examined how we work and confirmed that we meet the standards expected of a quality care provider. Choosing home care is a significant decision, and we understand the weight that families carry when looking for the right support for someone they love. If you would like to learn more about how we can help you or a family member to continue living confidently at home in Worthing, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We are here to listen, to answer your questions, and to walk alongside you as you consider what comes next.

We at AcreCare are proud to provide compassionate home care across Worthing and the surrounding West Sussex communities, supporting people to live well and safely in the place they know best: their own home. As a dedicated home care agency, our focus is on bringing personalised support directly to your doorstep. Operating throughout the BN postcode area, our team travels across Worthing and nearby villages to deliver care where it matters most. By coming to you, we help preserve the comfort of familiar surroundings, treasured belongings, and the daily routines that make a house feel like home. Whether you live in a town centre flat, a quiet suburban street, or a rural corner of West Sussex, we shape our visits around the rhythm of your day. Our care provision is broad and thoughtfully tailored. We support older people who wish to maintain their independence, offering everything from companionship and help with daily tasks to more involved personal care. Our dementia care is delivered with patience and understanding, giving families peace of mind that their loved one is being supported by people who recognise the importance of consistency, gentle communication, and dignity at every visit. For adults living with a learning disability or autism, we focus on enabling choice, building confidence, and supporting goals that matter to the individual. We also work alongside people experiencing mental health challenges, those with physical disabilities, and individuals living with visual or hearing impairment, adapting our approach so that communication and support feel natural and respectful. Younger adults receive care that recognises their stage of life, whilst those navigating alcohol or drug related recovery are met with a non judgemental, encouraging presence. In practice, this means families can trust that their relative is being supported by a team experienced in meeting complex and varied needs. It means a son or daughter living further afield can feel reassured that someone reliable is visiting; it means a spouse who has been the main carer can take a much needed breath; and it means the person receiving care remains at the heart of every decision. We are pleased to share that the Care Quality Commission rated AcreCare as Good overall following our most recent inspection on 14 October 2025. We achieved a Good rating across all five domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. For families, this independent assessment offers genuine reassurance that the care we deliver is safe, that our practices are effective, that our team is kind, that we respond to changing needs, and that the organisation is managed thoughtfully and transparently. Choosing home care is a deeply personal decision, and we understand the weight it carries. If you are exploring support for yourself or someone you love in Worthing or the wider West Sussex area, we would be delighted to hear from you, answer your questions, and help you take the next step with confidence.

We at Oaktree Farm Care are proud to offer dedicated home care across Horsham and the wider West Sussex community, supporting individuals to live well and confidently in the place they know best, their own home. Based in the RH postcode area, our team works across Horsham and the surrounding villages, bringing personalised support directly to the doorsteps of those who need it. Operating from a home care model means there is no relocation, no unfamiliar surroundings and no disruption to the routines, neighbours and memories that make a house a home. Instead, our care comes to you, woven gently into the rhythm of daily life within the welcoming setting of West Sussex. Our specialism lies in supporting adults living with learning disabilities and autism, as well as younger adults who benefit from tailored, thoughtful assistance. We understand that every person we support has their own story, preferences, communication style and aspirations. In practice, this means we take the time to truly listen, building care plans around the individual rather than asking the individual to fit around a plan. Whether that involves help with personal care, support with daily routines, encouragement to pursue hobbies and interests, accompaniment in the community or simply a familiar, friendly presence, our approach is centred on dignity, independence and genuine connection. For families, this person centred approach offers reassurance that your loved one is being supported by people who recognise them as a whole person. We work closely with relatives, advocates and other professionals to ensure that everyone involved in a person's life feels informed, included and confident in the care being delivered. We know how important it is for families to feel that they can step back from the worry of coordinating support and simply enjoy being family again. As a newer presence on the local care landscape, Oaktree Farm Care is currently awaiting its first formal CQC inspection and therefore holds a status of Not Yet Rated. This does not reflect the quality of our care but rather the stage of our regulatory journey. We are fully registered with the Care Quality Commission and operate to the standards expected of all providers, with internal quality checks, staff training and safeguarding practices in place from day one. We welcome conversations with families about how we work and are happy to share information openly so you can make an informed choice. If you are exploring home care options in Horsham for a loved one with a learning disability, autism or for a younger adult seeking compassionate support, we would be delighted to hear from you. Reach out for a friendly, no obligation conversation, and let us help you take the next step with confidence and peace of mind.

For relatives, this offers reassurance that the person they care about is being treated as an individual, not a number, and that consistent, dignified support is always close at hand. The Care Quality Commission has rated us Good overall, with Good ratings across the Safe, Effective, Caring, and Responsive domains following our most recent inspection in March 2023. This independent recognition reflects the care, attention, and professionalism our team brings to every visit. We also acknowledge that our Well-led domain was rated Requires Improvement, and we are committed to strengthening our leadership and management practices so that the quality experienced on the doorstep is matched by the quality of oversight behind the scenes. Honesty and continuous improvement are values we hold close. If you are exploring home care options for a parent, partner, relative, or friend in Chichester, we warmly invite you to get in touch. - Home Care
We at South Coast Homecare are proud to provide compassionate home care across Chichester and the surrounding West Sussex communities, supporting people to live well and safely in the place they know best: their own home. Operating throughout the Chichester area and the wider PO postcode region, our team brings personalised care directly to your doorstep. Whether your loved one lives in a quiet village on the outskirts, a familiar family home in the heart of town, or closer to the South Downs, we travel to them, fitting our visits around their daily rhythms, preferences, and routines. The beauty of home care is that the environment is already cherished and familiar, filled with memories, photographs, and comforts that no care setting can replicate. Our role is simply to support that life, not change it. We offer a broad range of specialisms designed to meet people wherever they are on their journey. For older people, we provide thoughtful daily support that helps preserve independence and dignity, whether that means a helping hand with personal care, medication prompts, meal preparation, or simply companionship over a cup of tea. Our dementia care is delivered by carers who understand that consistency, patience, and gentle reassurance make all the difference, and we work closely with families to build routines that feel safe and familiar. For adults living with a learning disability or autism, we focus on enabling people to live the life they choose, supporting goals, hobbies, social connections, and community involvement in ways that respect each individual's pace and personality. We also support younger adults and people with physical disabilities, helping with mobility, daily tasks, and the practical aspects of living well at home. For those with visual or hearing impairments, our carers adapt their communication and approach to ensure every interaction feels clear, calm, and respectful. What this means in practice is that families across Chichester can feel confident their relative is receiving care shaped around them as a person, not slotted into a generic package. We take time to understand life histories, preferences, likes and dislikes, so that every visit feels personal rather than procedural. Families are kept informed and involved, and we see ourselves as partners in care, working alongside loved ones rather than apart from them. We are pleased to share that the Care Quality Commission has rated South Coast Homecare as Good across every domain assessed: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. This consistent rating, following the inspection in June 2021, reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering care that is reliable, kind, and well organised. For families, a Good rating across all five areas offers genuine reassurance that the people supporting your loved one are doing so to a standard the regulator has independently recognised. If you are exploring home care for someone you love in Chichester or the surrounding area, we warmly invite you to get in touch. Choosing care is rarely an easy decision, and we understand the weight that comes with it. Our team is here to listen, to answer your questions without pressure, and to help you find the right way forward, whether that is with us or simply with clearer information. Whatever you decide, we wish you and your family the very best on this journey.

We also support younger adults who require care in their own homes, recognising that every individual, regardless of age, deserves tailored support that reflects their aspirations, lifestyle, and personal goals. Whether that means enabling someone to pursue hobbies, maintain community connections, or simply live with greater confidence, our care is shaped around the person, never the other way around. In practice, this means our team takes time to listen. We speak with families, understand routines, learn preferences, and build a care plan that genuinely reflects the person at its heart. At South Coast Care, we provide home care across Worthing and the surrounding areas of West Sussex, supporting people to live as independently as possible in the comfort of their own homes. We know that choosing care for yourself or someone you love is a significant decision, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our team works with older people, younger adults, and individuals living with dementia, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We understand that each person we support has their own routines, preferences and life history, so we take time to get to know the people in our care properly before anything else. That foundation of understanding shapes everything we do. We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our team puts in every single day. It means something to us because it is based on what actually happens during visits, not just what we say about ourselves. Whether someone needs a short daily visit or more regular support throughout the week, we work around the individual rather than expecting them to fit around us. For those living with dementia, we are particularly mindful of the importance of consistency and familiarity, and we make every effort to ensure people see familiar faces as part of their care. We believe that good home care is built on honest communication, reliability and mutual respect. Families and loved ones are always welcome to be involved, and we keep communication open so that everyone feels informed and reassured. If you are thinking about care for yourself or a family member in the Worthing area, we would be very happy to have a conversation with no pressure and no obligation. - Home Care
We at Assist Care Group West Sussex are proud to offer person centred home care across Worthing and the wider West Sussex area, bringing compassionate support directly into the places our clients know and love best: their own homes. Operating from the BN postcode area, our team is well placed to serve individuals and families throughout Worthing and the surrounding communities of the South East coast. Being a home care agency means we come to you, respecting the comfort, familiarity, and independence that your own home provides. Whether you live in a family house, a bungalow, a flat, or sheltered accommodation, our care is designed to fit seamlessly around your daily life and routines. The breadth of support we provide reflects our commitment to meeting people where they are in life. Our specialisms include older person care and dementia care, where we focus on preserving dignity, encouraging familiar routines, and offering gentle reassurance to those living with memory loss. For adults living with a learning disability or autism, we take a considered approach that respects individual communication preferences, sensory needs, and personal goals, supporting people to live the life they choose. We also support individuals experiencing mental health challenges, offering steady, non judgemental care that promotes wellbeing and stability. For those with a physical disability or with visual or hearing impairment, our team adapts its approach to ensure independence is nurtured and barriers are minimised at every opportunity. We welcome younger adults into our care, recognising that the needs of a person in their twenties, thirties, or forties are often quite different from those of older clients, and we tailor our support accordingly. Our experience also extends to sensitive and complex areas including eating disorders and support for those affected by alcohol or drug misuse. These are areas where trust, consistency, and a compassionate presence make a real difference, and our team approaches this work with the seriousness and warmth it deserves. In practice, what all of this means for you and your family is choice. Choice about who visits, choice about how care is delivered, and choice about the pace and shape of each day. We work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and, most importantly, the person receiving care to build a support plan that genuinely reflects individual wishes. From help with personal care, medication, and mobility to companionship, meal preparation, and support getting out and about in the local community, our care is as practical as it is personal. We are pleased to hold an overall rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission, with Good ratings awarded across all five inspection domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. For families, a consistent Good rating across every area offers welcome reassurance. It reflects a team that not only delivers kind and attentive care but does so within a framework that is safe, thoughtfully led, and responsive to the changing needs of the people we support. It also speaks to a culture of accountability, where continuous improvement and open communication are part of daily working life. Choosing home care is a significant decision, and we understand that families often begin this journey feeling uncertain or overwhelmed. Perhaps you are exploring options for an ageing parent, arranging support following a hospital stay, or looking for the right team to walk alongside a loved one with more complex needs. Whatever has brought you here, please know that you do not have to work it out alone. We at Assist Care Group West Sussex warmly invite you to reach out and start a conversation. We are always happy to listen, answer your questions, and explore whether our approach feels like the right fit for your family. Together, we can shape a package of care that brings comfort, confidence, and continuity, right where it matters most: at home in Worthing.

At Classic Care, we provide home care support to people across Haywards Heath and the surrounding areas of West Sussex. We work with individuals who need a little extra help at home, whether that means support with day to day tasks, personal care, or more specialist assistance for those living with dementia, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, or visual and hearing impairments. We know that choosing home care is a significant decision, and we take that responsibility seriously. Our aim is always to help the people we support maintain as much independence and comfort as possible, within the surroundings they know and love. Home matters, and we genuinely believe that good care should feel like a natural extension of someone's life rather than an interruption to it. Our team is carefully matched to the people we work with, and we take time to understand individual needs, preferences, and routines before putting any support in place. We do not believe in a one size fits all approach. The people we care for are at the centre of every decision we make, and their families and loved ones are always kept in the loop. We are proud to have received a "good" rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistent effort our team puts in day after day. It means a great deal to us, though we always look for ways to keep improving. If you are considering care for yourself or someone close to you, we would warmly encourage you to get in touch. We are happy to have an honest conversation about what we can offer and whether we might be the right fit. There is no pressure, just a straightforward chat about how we might be able to help.

- Home Care
Bluebird Care in Worthing supports people in their own homes across the town and the surrounding part of West Sussex. Most of our work is with older adults, a good number living with dementia. We also support younger adults, people with a physical disability, and people who are blind, partially sighted, deaf or hard of hearing. We think the length of a visit matters more than most agencies admit. A rushed call is not a cheaper version of a proper one, it is a different and much less useful thing. Somebody hurried through a wash, handed a sandwich and left to it has been processed rather than helped. So we plan visits with enough time to do the job without anybody being chivvied along, and we would rather turn work away than take on more than we can deliver that way. Where dementia is involved we take our lead from the family, who already know which words work and which part of the day is difficult. Where sight or hearing has gone we agree in advance how we will announce ourselves at the door, and we say what we are about to do before we do it. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us and we will come out and listen before suggesting anything.

Right at Home Worthing and Shoreham provides care and support to people in their own homes across Shoreham by Sea, Worthing and the surrounding district. We work with older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. For people living with dementia and for anyone with failing sight, a familiar voice at the door counts for a great deal. We also support family carers, because reliable help at home is often what allows a relative to keep caring without reaching exhaustion. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please call us if you would like to talk things over.

Care Guaranteed provides support at home for people living in Shoreham by Sea and across the surrounding parts of West Sussex. We work in the homes people already know, fitting around routines that are established rather than trying to rearrange them. We visit older people who need help with washing, dressing, medication, meals and keeping a household going, and we support people living with dementia, where a familiar carer arriving at a familiar hour steadies a day more reliably than anything else we could offer. We also work with adults who have a learning disability or who are autistic, people with physical disabilities, those with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who want to live independently with the right support behind them. Every arrangement begins with an unhurried conversation at home, with family involved where that is wanted. We ask what somebody still wants to do for themselves, where help would genuinely make a difference and what we should leave well alone. What we agree is written down plainly and revisited honestly when circumstances change, whether that means more support or less. Keeping the same carers with the same people matters a great deal, and we protect it as far as we can while being straight with families when holidays or illness make it harder. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering care at home in West Sussex, please get in touch and we will talk it through.

Alina Homecare Lancing supports people in their own homes across Lancing and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, those managing a mental health condition or an eating disorder, people with a physical disability, people living with a visual or hearing impairment, and adults working through problems with alcohol or drugs. We also support younger adults. That is a very wide range of people, and it is why we plan every arrangement individually rather than offering a fixed package. We begin by talking properly with the person about how they want their life to run, what they manage well themselves and where support would genuinely help, and we set that out in plain language so everybody knows what good support looks like. Visits can cover personal care, medication, meals, household tasks, shopping, appointments and company. Where someone is managing a mental health condition, an eating disorder or an addiction, we work alongside the health professionals already involved so that what we do supports their plan rather than cutting across it. We do not judge and we do not lecture. We keep teams small so people see familiar faces, train carers for the needs they will actually meet, and make sure families can reach someone. We at Alina Homecare Horley are proud to provide compassionate home care to individuals and families across Crawley and the wider West Sussex area. As a dedicated home care agency, we bring professional support directly into the place people love most, their own home, allowing them to remain independent in familiar surroundings. Operating within the RH postcode area, our team supports residents throughout Crawley and neighbouring communities. Home care has the unique advantage of meeting people exactly where they are, whether that is a long established family house, a comfortable bungalow, or a flat filled with treasured memories. Every visit is shaped around the rhythms of daily life, ensuring that support feels like a natural extension of home rather than an interruption to it. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the people we are privileged to support. We provide older person care and dementia care, offering patient, person centred support for those navigating memory loss and the changes that come with later life. For individuals living with a learning disability or autism, we focus on understanding personal preferences, routines, and communication styles, helping each person feel respected and confident in their day. We also support adults with mental health needs, providing the consistency and reassurance that make a meaningful difference to wellbeing. For those living with a physical disability or with visual and hearing impairments, our team works thoughtfully to promote independence, dignity, and safety throughout everyday tasks. We extend our support to younger adults, recognising that care needs do not follow age boundaries, and we provide sensitive, knowledgeable assistance to individuals managing eating disorders or recovering from alcohol and drug misuse. Whatever the circumstance, our aim is the same: to offer respectful, capable support that helps each person live the life they choose. In practice, this means families can feel reassured that their loved ones receive care tailored to their personal history, health needs, and goals. From assistance with personal care, medication, and meal preparation through to companionship and support with appointments, our team is there to ease daily pressures and bring peace of mind to relatives who may live further afield. We are pleased to hold an overall rating of Good from the Care Quality Commission, with Good ratings achieved across all five inspection domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. This independent recognition reflects our commitment to delivering safe, attentive, and well managed care, and it offers families an additional layer of confidence when choosing support for someone they love. If you are exploring home care options in Crawley for yourself or a family member, we warmly invite you to get in touch. Choosing care is a deeply personal decision, and we are here to listen, answer your questions, and help you understand how thoughtful support at home could make a real difference to your family's journey.

Personal Touch Care provides care and support in people's own homes across Crawley and the surrounding part of West Sussex. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with loss of sight or hearing, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. Our task is to make home a workable place to stay when daily life has become hard to manage alone. The help covers washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals and seeing they are eaten, shopping, laundry, getting out to appointments, and the general running of a household. Where somebody is working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs, turning up reliably and without judgement does more good than any technique. A good many people in that situation have been let down before, and rebuilding trust takes consistency rather than good intentions. For people with loss of sight or hearing we adapt how we communicate and how we announce ourselves at the door, since that decides whether a visit is reassuring or startling. We keep the same small teams with the same households as far as the rota allows. Please contact us if you would like to discuss support at home.

- Home Care
DBAGZ Solutions in Crawley provides support at home to adults across Crawley and the surrounding part of West Sussex. The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, people living with an eating disorder and younger adults who need support to live independently. That is a wide range, and it only works because support is built around the individual rather than issued as a standard package. A morning call to help an older person wash and dress has very little in common with supporting somebody managing an eating disorder, and we assess properly, agree the support with the person, and change it when their circumstances change. The practical work covers personal care, support and prompting with medication, meals, household tasks, shopping and help to get out and about. For people with sight or hearing loss we adapt how we announce ourselves and explain what we are doing rather than working around them. Please get in touch if you are arranging care at home locally and we will talk it through.

Arranging and funding home care in West Sussex
Support delivered at home differs from residential care in one way that shapes everything else: the carer travels to the person, so geography, timing and continuity of staff matter as much as the quality of the organisation behind them. With 212 agencies on this list, the practical starting point is finding which ones actually cover the postcode in question, because coverage areas rarely match county boundaries.
Making sense of the inspection ratings
The ratings on this page come from the Care Quality Commission and span Outstanding, Good and Requires Improvement, with some agencies not yet rated. A Good rating means inspectors found the agency met the standards tested across safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness and leadership. Requires Improvement deserves a look at the report itself rather than an automatic exclusion, since the findings might concern record keeping, or might concern missed and late visits, which is a far more serious matter for someone waiting on morning medication. Agencies shown as not yet rated are frequently newer registrations without a first full inspection, so the weight shifts onto the questions you ask and the references you can gather.
What to establish before signing anything
Ask how many different carers will attend in a typical fortnight, because continuity is the single thing families most often wish they had pressed on. Ask what happens when a regular carer is ill, how late a visit can run before the office rings to warn you, and whether visits are logged electronically so relatives can see what was done. Check the minimum visit length, since a short call rarely allows for a proper meal or an unhurried wash. Confirm which tasks the agency will and will not undertake, particularly medication, catheter care and anything requiring two carers. Providers on this listing such as Caremark (Arun), Acre Care Limited, ADL Care and The Sussex Village Homecare Service Limited hold a Good rating, but the arrangement still stands or falls on the detail of the care plan you agree.
Choosing between home care agencies in West Sussex
The assessment process is the same whether the outcome is a few visits a week or full daily support, and it runs more smoothly when it begins before a crisis forces the pace.
Getting a care needs assessment
Anyone who appears to need care and support can request an assessment, whatever their savings. West Sussex County Council is responsible for carrying out that assessment and for arranging funded support where the national eligibility criteria are met. The assessment looks at washing, dressing, meals, medication, mobility and how safe someone is between visits, and the resulting written record is useful even for families who intend to pay privately, because it sets out clearly how much support is genuinely needed. A relative giving regular unpaid help can ask for a separate carer assessment at the same time.
Working out what it will cost
Home care is usually charged by the hour or by the visit, so the weekly total depends on how many calls are needed and how long each one lasts. Where council help is sought, a financial assessment follows the needs assessment and considers income, savings and other capital, with those above the national threshold generally expected to fund their own support. Ask any agency for its hourly rate in writing, along with what it charges at weekends and on bank holidays, whether travel time is billed, and how much notice is required to reduce or cancel visits.
Frequently asked questions about home care in West Sussex
Which providers are covered by this West Sussex listing?
This page brings together two hundred and five home care agencies registered with the Care Quality Commission to work in West Sussex. They deliver personal care in people's own homes, from a single morning call through to several visits a day and live in arrangements where an agency offers them. Providers on the list include Caremark (Arun), Gozone Care Ltd, Angelica Care Ltd and Ashton Domiciliary Care Agency. Each profile shows the current rating and links through to the published inspection report.
How does home care compare with a care home or a nursing home?
Home care brings a carer to the person for agreed visits, leaving them in their own house with their own routine, and it suits people whose needs can be met in scheduled blocks of time. A care home provides accommodation with personal care and staff on site day and night, which becomes the safer option when someone needs help unpredictably or is unsafe alone overnight. A nursing home adds registered nurses on the premises for clinical needs such as complex medication, wounds or conditions requiring regular clinical oversight. Every provider on this page delivers care at home rather than in a residential setting.
What should I ask an agency before arranging visits?
Ask how many different carers are likely to attend over a fortnight and what the agency does when the usual carer is unavailable. Ask about the minimum visit length, how time is recorded, and whether family can see a log of what happened at each call. Request the hourly rate in writing together with weekend and bank holiday charges, any travel costs, and the notice needed to change or cancel visits. Finally, ask who reviews the care plan, how often that happens, and who to contact out of hours when something goes wrong.
How is a care needs assessment arranged in West Sussex?
Contact the adult social care team at West Sussex County Council and ask for a care needs assessment. Everyone who appears to need care and support is entitled to one regardless of income, and a relative can make the request with the person's agreement. The assessment covers daily tasks, mobility, medication and safety at home, and produces a written record of the support required. If the person is in hospital, the ward team can refer directly, which usually brings the assessment forward.
Can West Sussex County Council pay towards care at home?
It can, where the person meets the care eligibility criteria and the financial test that follows. West Sussex County Council assesses income, savings and other capital to decide how much the person contributes towards the cost of support. Those holding capital above the national threshold normally pay for their own care, though they can still request an assessment and ask for advice about arranging it. Where the council does contribute, it sets a personal budget, which some people take as a direct payment and use to arrange their own agency.
How soon should support at home be organised?
It pays to start before the situation becomes urgent, because good agencies in West Sussex often have limited capacity at the most popular times of day. Early mornings and teatime calls are the hardest slots to fill, so a family asking at short notice may be offered times that do not suit. Beginning early also leaves room to trial a small package and adjust it once everyone sees how it works in practice. Where a hospital discharge is expected, tell the ward as soon as possible so the assessment can run alongside the discharge planning.
