About Us
Heart Bridge Care is a home care agency in Crawley, supporting people in their own homes across West Sussex. We work with older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people who have a physical disability.
Everyone we meet at a first visit says more or less the same thing: they would like to stay where they are. Making that realistic, for as long as it is safe and genuinely the better option, is the whole of our purpose. The work is practical. Help with washing and dressing. Medication managed and recorded carefully. Meals cooked rather than opened. Help to move safely about a home that may no longer suit its occupant. A dependable person in a week that might otherwise be empty. And a proper break for the families who have been holding things together on their own.
We send the same carers to the same households wherever we can. That continuity is the mechanism rather than the presentation: a carer who knows somebody notices the meal left untouched, the new bruise, the confusion that was not there a fortnight ago.
For people living with dementia, familiarity and an unhurried pace achieve what explanation cannot. For people with a physical disability, we learn the individual's preferred way of being assisted to move rather than applying a standard technique.
