- Home Care
We provide care at home in Gillingham and across Medway and the south east, supporting older people and younger adults. The people we work with include those living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with physical disabilities and people with visual or hearing impairments. Needs that varied cannot be met from a standard package, so we begin by asking what somebody wants help with and what they would rather keep doing for themselves. For an older person that is often personal care, medication, meals and keeping the house in order. For a younger adult it is more likely to be about independence: running a home, getting to work or college, handling money and keeping appointments. Where someone is living with dementia, a familiar carer who knows their habits does more good than anything written in a plan. We put real effort into continuity, sending the same carers to the same households wherever the rota allows. It spares people from explaining themselves repeatedly and it means somebody is likely to notice when a person is unwell, in pain or unusually withdrawn. Our staff are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and have senior colleagues they can reach when a situation is unclear. If you are looking into care at home for yourself or a relative, please get in touch. We will give you an honest account of what we can take on and say so if we are not the right fit.

- Home Care
We are Agape Care, a home care agency in Chatham, in the Medway towns. We support people in their own homes, working with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment, and people affected by alcohol and drug misuse. That range means there is no standard package to offer, and we do not pretend there is. Our first conversation is about the person's ordinary day, what has become difficult and what they want to keep managing themselves, and everything is built from those answers. Some of the people we support need patience over a long stretch rather than intensity over a short one. Where progress is not a straight line, the most useful thing a carer can be is steady and unshockable, arriving as agreed and not treating a difficult week as a reason to withdraw. We work alongside GPs, community teams and social workers, and we keep the same carers with the same people wherever the rota allows. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating.

- Home Care
We at McNeil Homecare are proud to provide compassionate home care across Rochester and the wider Medway area, supporting people to live safely, comfortably, and independently in the place they know and love best: their own home. As a home care agency serving Rochester and surrounding communities in the ME postcode area, we bring our support directly to your doorstep. Rather than asking our clients to adjust to a new environment, we step into theirs, respecting the familiar routines, treasured possessions, and personal spaces that make a house a home. Our team travels across the South East region to reach those who need us, whether that is in a family house, a bungalow, or a flat within a supported setting. The care we provide is thoughtfully tailored to each individual we visit. We specialise in older person care and home care, offering the practical and personal support that helps people continue with the rhythms of daily life. For those living with dementia, our approach is patient and person centred, recognising that consistency, gentle reassurance, and familiar faces can make an enormous difference to wellbeing. We also support adults with learning disabilities and autism, providing care that respects communication preferences, sensory needs, and personal goals, empowering each person to live the life they choose. Our expertise extends to supporting people with physical disabilities, helping with mobility, personal care, and everyday tasks in ways that preserve dignity and promote independence. For clients living with visual or hearing impairments, we adapt our communication and support so that no one feels isolated in their own home. We also care for younger adults whose circumstances mean they benefit from professional support at home, offering a considered alternative to residential settings. For families, what this means in practice is peace of mind. It means knowing that a trained carer is visiting your loved one, whether for a short call to help with medication and breakfast, or for longer periods of companionship and support. It means shared updates, a friendly point of contact, and the reassurance that comes from professional care delivered with genuine warmth. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our CQC rating of Good across every domain assessed at our latest inspection: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. Achieving Good in all five areas indicates that the regulator found our care to be safe, delivered by a team with the right knowledge and skills, provided with kindness and respect, responsive to individual needs, and supported by leadership that promotes a positive culture. For families considering home care, an independent assessment of this kind offers valuable reassurance that the standards we speak about are ones we are consistently seen to uphold. We understand that reaching out about care, whether for yourself, a parent, or another loved one, can feel like a significant step. It often comes at a time of change or uncertainty, and choosing the right provider matters enormously. If you are exploring home care options in Rochester or the wider Medway area, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss your circumstances, ask any questions you may have, and find out how we might be able to help. Whatever the level of support you are considering, you will find a warm welcome and a listening ear at McNeil Homecare.

- Home Care
We provide care at home in Rochester and the surrounding part of Medway, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. People usually come to us at a point of change: a fall, a stay in hospital, a diagnosis, or the gradual realisation that managing alone has become harder than it used to be. Our job is to put enough support around that for life to carry on at home. For some people a single morning visit to help with washing, dressing and medication is enough. Others need calls through the day and into the evening, help with meals and shopping, and support to move about the house safely. We agree what is needed with the person and whoever they want involved, and we review it honestly rather than leaving an old plan in place. Continuity is what we work hardest at. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually quiet, and the person is spared explaining themselves again and again. For people living with dementia, a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written down. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach a senior colleague whenever they want advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly. If you are thinking about care at home, please get in touch.

- Home Care
Age UK Kent Rivers provides home care to older people living in and around Chatham, Medway. Our work is simple to describe and takes real care to do well. We help older people carry on living in their own homes, with as much support as they want and no more. Every arrangement begins with a proper conversation. We want to understand how somebody likes their day to run, what they still manage perfectly well themselves and where a hand would genuinely make a difference. That becomes a written plan in plain language which our carers follow and which we revisit as circumstances change rather than leaving it filed away. Visits can cover personal care, help with medication, preparing meals, household tasks, shopping, getting to appointments and simply spending time with someone. Some people want a short morning call. Others need support several times a day. Loneliness is a real part of the picture for many older people, and we take company seriously rather than treating it as an extra. Continuity matters a great deal, so we keep the team around each person small. Familiar faces at predictable times mean a lot, and carers who know someone notice when things are different. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk things through.

We at Domiciliary Care Experts are a home care agency proudly supporting people across Gillingham and the wider Medway area, delivering compassionate care in the one place that truly feels like home. Our team is dedicated to helping local families navigate the journey of care with warmth, dignity, and understanding. Operating throughout the ME postcode area, we bring our support directly to the doorsteps of those who need it most. Rather than asking your loved one to adjust to a new environment, we come to them, allowing them to remain surrounded by cherished belongings, familiar routines, and the comforting rhythm of their own neighbourhood in the South East. Whether that home is a quiet bungalow, a family house, or a flat, our carers arrive ready to fit seamlessly into daily life. Our specialisms span home care, dementia care, mental health support, and care for adults living with a physical disability. In practice, this means we offer far more than practical assistance. For those living with dementia, our carers provide patient, consistent companionship, helping to reduce confusion and anxiety through gentle familiarity. For individuals managing mental health conditions, we offer a calm, non judgemental presence and steady support that respects each person's pace and preferences. For those with physical disabilities, we assist with mobility, personal care, and everyday tasks in a way that promotes independence rather than diminishing it. Families can take comfort knowing their relative is supported by people who understand the nuances of these conditions. We believe honesty matters, particularly when families are making one of the most important decisions of their lives. Our most recent CQC inspection, carried out on 18 August 2025, resulted in an overall rating of Inadequate. Within that inspection, we were rated Good in three key areas: Effective, Caring, and Responsive. This reflects the genuine warmth of our carers, the meaningful outcomes we help residents achieve, and our commitment to tailoring support around each person's needs. However, we were rated Inadequate in the Safe and Well led domains, and we take this feedback with the utmost seriousness. We are actively working through a robust improvement plan to strengthen our safety practices and leadership oversight, because the people we support and their families deserve nothing less than our full accountability and continuous progress. If you are exploring home care options in Gillingham for someone you love, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We understand that choosing care can feel overwhelming, and we are here to listen, answer your questions openly, and help you decide whether our support is the right fit for your family at this moment in time.

- Home Care
Kem Healthcare And Consulting supports people in their own homes in Chatham and across Medway. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental ill health and younger adults. Home care should fit into a life that already exists rather than rearrange it. We begin by asking how the day usually runs, what has become difficult and what somebody can still do perfectly well and would rather keep doing. Plans written that way tend to stick, and they make the support feel like help rather than intrusion. Our visits cover personal care, support with medication, meals, help around the house and getting out to appointments or into town. For younger adults and for people with a learning disability, the work is often less about personal care and more about keeping an ordinary week on track. Continuity is where we concentrate our effort. A familiar carer who knows the house, the routine and the person is worth more than any amount of paperwork, and that matters most where dementia or autism is involved. We keep families informed where the person wants that, and we raise concerns early rather than waiting for a review. Please get in touch if you would like to talk things through.

Anchor Domiciliary Care provides support in people's own homes across Rochester and the wider Medway area. We help people stay where they are settled, with support that fits around their life rather than rearranging it. We visit older people and younger adults. Support often covers personal care, medication, meals, shopping and household tasks, and for many people it also means reliable company and a familiar face at a predictable hour. We work with adults who have learning disabilities and with autistic adults, planning support around how each person communicates and what makes their day work, and we support people managing eating disorders, where patience, consistency and close working with health professionals matter more than anything else we could offer. Every package begins with a conversation and an assessment at home. The plan belongs to the person, and we change it when their needs change rather than waiting for the next scheduled review. Continuity is something we plan for. Keeping the same small team with the same people makes support easier for everyone and far safer, because familiar carers notice when something is not right. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. If you would like to discuss care at home, please contact us and we will arrange to visit.

We are Ash Tree Homecare, and we support people in their own homes across Rochester and the wider Medway area. Home is where routines, belongings and neighbours are, and our purpose is to make staying there possible for as long as it is the right thing. We visit older people who need help with personal care, medication, meals and getting out and about, and we work with younger adults building or holding on to their independence. Our carers support people living with dementia, people with a learning disability or who are autistic, people with a physical disability, and those with sight or hearing loss. We also support people managing an eating disorder, where we follow the plan agreed with their clinical team and keep mealtimes calm, predictable and free of pressure. Visits are arranged around the person rather than around our rota wherever we can manage it, and we aim for continuity so that the same small group of carers comes each week. That consistency is what allows someone to relax during personal care, and it is what lets our staff spot a change early and raise it with the family or the district nurse before it becomes a crisis. The Care Quality Commission most recently rated us good overall. We would rather earn your confidence in person than on a page, so if you are considering support at home please get in touch and we will talk through what your week actually looks like and where we could help.

We visit people in their own homes, helping with what has become difficult and leaving alone what they manage perfectly well. We support older people and people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults who need help with daily life. In practice that means personal care, support with medication, meals, shopping and housework, and help getting out to appointments. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather tell you that plainly than have you come across it later. We have looked closely at what the inspection found, changed how we plan visits, record care and supervise our staff, and we are open with the people we support about how that work is going. If you are considering us, please ask about it directly. Beyond that, what we ask to be judged on is reliability. Arriving when we said we would. Staying the full agreed time. Sending workers who are familiar rather than a different person each visit. Noticing when somebody is not themselves and telling someone who can act on it. Please ring us if you would like to talk about care at home in Medway.

We at Independent Care and Support are a home care agency proudly serving families across Rochester and the wider Medway area, offering compassionate support that allows people to remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes. Based in the ME postcode area, our team covers Rochester and its surrounding neighbourhoods within Medway, part of the South East. Because our care is delivered directly in each person's own home, the environment is always the one our clients know best, whether that is a long loved family house, a quiet bungalow, or a flat close to loved ones. We work around the rhythms of daily life in the local community, from morning routines to evening wind downs, ensuring that support feels natural rather than intrusive. Our specialisms reflect the breadth of needs we support across generations. For older people, we provide reliable, respectful assistance with the practicalities of daily living, from personal care and medication prompts to companionship and help around the home. For those living with dementia, our approach centres on patience, familiar routines, and gentle reassurance, helping to preserve dignity and reduce anxiety whilst enabling people to stay in the surroundings that comfort them most. Families caring for a loved one with dementia often tell us how much peace of mind it brings to know a trusted carer is arriving each day. We also support adults with physical disabilities, tailoring our care to promote independence and confidence, whether that means assistance with mobility, help with everyday tasks, or simply being a steady, encouraging presence. For clients with visual or hearing impairments, our carers take time to communicate clearly and thoughtfully, adapting to individual preferences so that every interaction feels calm and understood. We are equally experienced in supporting younger adults who require care in the home, recognising that lifestyle, aspirations, and social connection matter just as much as practical support at any age. What this means in practice is care that is shaped around the person, not the other way around. Families are kept informed, involved, and reassured, and our carers build genuine relationships with the people they visit, learning their likes, their stories, and the small details that make a real difference to wellbeing. Our most recent CQC inspection, carried out on 24 May 2023, gave us an overall rating of Requires Improvement, with our Caring domain rated Good. We are especially proud of the Good rating for Caring, as it reflects the kindness, warmth, and respect that our team brings to every visit, qualities that matter deeply to the people we support and their families. We take the areas identified for improvement across Safe, Effective, Responsive, and Well led very seriously, and we are committed to strengthening our practice, our processes, and our leadership so that every aspect of the care we deliver matches the compassion at its heart. If you are exploring home care for yourself or a loved one in Rochester or the surrounding Medway area, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We understand that reaching this point can feel daunting, and we are here to listen, answer your questions, and help you feel confident about the next steps. Whatever your circumstances, you will be met with kindness, honesty, and a genuine desire to help.

Care Infinity Solutions provides care in people's own homes in Rochester and across Medway. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, and younger adults. Most people who contact us want to stay in their own home, and with the right support that is usually possible for a good deal longer than families expect. For one person that means a short morning call to help with washing, dressing and medication so the rest of the day is their own. For another it means several visits taking in personal care, meals, prompting and a bit of company. We plan each arrangement with the person and with whoever they want involved, rather than arriving with a fixed idea of what somebody needs. Packages get reviewed when circumstances change, and if what we provide has stopped matching the situation we would rather say so than let it carry on. Continuity is what we build our rotas around. The same small group of carers going to the same person makes personal care easier to accept, and it means somebody who knows their usual self notices quickly when they are unwell. Care Infinity Solutions does not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are happy to explain how we work and to answer your questions before you decide anything.

We are Holistic Care, a home care provider based in Chatham, supporting people in their own homes across Medway. Our work is with older people, with adults who have a learning disability, with autistic adults and with younger adults. These are genuinely different kinds of work and we would rather say so plainly than claim a single approach covers them all. An older person who wants a hand getting up and then wants to be left in peace needs something quite unlike the support an autistic adult might need to keep a week on track. Every arrangement begins with a proper conversation with the person and anyone they want present, covering what they still want to do themselves, what makes a day difficult, what time things really need to happen and who to contact when circumstances change. We take time to learn how somebody communicates, particularly when they are anxious, and we keep the same small team going to the same person wherever we can. Baines Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chatham and across the Medway area. We work with older people, younger adults and people living with dementia. Our starting point is that the person we visit is in charge. It is their home, their routine and their decision how support happens. We are there to make something possible that has become difficult, not to reorganise a life that is working well in most other respects. Support begins with a visit and a proper conversation about what is genuinely hard, which is often not what families assume. From that we agree a plan with the person, involving family or an advocate if they want that, and we revise it when circumstances change rather than at fixed review dates. Visits can cover personal care, medication, meals and drinks, housework, shopping, getting to appointments, and company for people who are on their own a good deal of the week. Where somebody is living with dementia we keep the same small team visiting, work at their pace and notice the gradual changes that matter. We think carefully about who visits whom, taking account of temperament and interests as well as the practical help needed, and we would rather take a little longer to get the match right than fill a slot quickly. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk things over.

Havilah Discovery Care provides support at home to people in Gillingham and across Medway. We work with older people who want to carry on living independently, with people who have physical disabilities and with younger adults who need help to manage daily life. What we do is shaped by the person rather than by a standard package. For some people it is a call each morning to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day begins safely. For others it is support at several points, with meals, mobility, the housework and shopping, or help to get out to appointments, to work and to see people. For younger adults the emphasis is often less on personal care and more on the practical business of running a home and a life. We visit before anything starts, agree the plan with the person and anyone they want involved, write it in plain language and review it as things change. We also say plainly when we think somebody needs more support than can safely be given at home. Reliability is what people judge home care on, so we keep the same carers going to the same households, turn up when we said we would and ring if we are delayed. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please contact us to arrange a visit in the Medway area.

Astro Global Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chatham and across the Medway area. We work with older people, younger adults, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. Most people come to us because something at home has become harder than it was, and they want help that makes staying there possible rather than a move nobody has chosen. We try to provide exactly that and no more, because doing things for somebody that they can still manage takes something away from them. Everything starts with a visit and an unhurried conversation. What does the day look like now, what has become difficult, and what would the person rather keep doing for themselves. From that we agree who comes, when and what they do, with family or an advocate involved whenever the person wants them there. Visits cover personal care, help with medication, meals and drinks, housework and laundry, shopping, getting to appointments, and company for people whose days have grown very quiet. For those living with dementia we keep the same small team visiting and work at their pace. Where somebody has a physical disability we look closely at equipment, transfers and how the home is arranged. We are strict about timekeeping, because waiting in for somebody who does not arrive as promised is genuinely distressing. Please give us a ring if you would like to talk about support in the Medway area.

- Home Care
Logic Care Solutions provides care at home for older people and younger adults across Gillingham and the wider Medway area. Our work is to make staying at home practical, whether that means a short visit each morning or regular support throughout the day. Our carers help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and the everyday tasks that become difficult before anything else does. For younger adults, the emphasis is usually different: support that fits around work, study and a social life, and that backs somebody up without taking decisions away from them. We agree with each person what they want help with and, just as importantly, what they would rather do themselves. Continuity is something we plan for. Familiar carers notice things that a stranger would miss, and they save people from explaining their own routine over and over. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Requires Improvement. We would rather say that plainly at the outset than have you find it elsewhere. We took the findings seriously, we have been working through them, and we are happy to talk in detail about what has changed. If you are looking into care at home in Medway, please call us. We will visit, listen and give you an honest view of whether we are the right fit.

- Home Care
Galilee Care provides support at home to people in Chatham and across Medway. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have physical disabilities and with younger adults. Our visits are shaped around the person's own routine rather than a fixed package. That might be a short call first thing to help with washing, dressing and medication, support at several points with meals, mobility and the house, or help to get out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. For adults with a learning disability and for autistic adults, the work is often more about making independent living practical than about personal care. We come out and talk it through before anything begins, agree the plan with the person and whoever they want involved, write it in plain words and review it as needs change. We say honestly when we think somebody needs more support than can safely be provided at home. Keeping the same carers going into the same households is something we work at properly. Familiar carers notice the small changes, a dropped appetite, a new unsteadiness, a mood that has shifted, and can raise them before they become serious. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please get in touch to arrange a visit in the Medway area.

- Home Care
We at Mariah Care are proud to offer compassionate home care across Gillingham and the wider Medway area, bringing professional support directly into the place people love most: their own home. Operating from our base in the ME postcode area, we are well positioned to reach families throughout Gillingham and neighbouring communities. Because our care is delivered in your own surroundings, the environment remains one that is familiar, comforting and filled with personal memories. This continuity can be especially valuable for those living with cognitive or sensory changes, allowing routines, favourite chairs, treasured photographs and beloved gardens to remain part of everyday life. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the community we serve. We support older people who wish to maintain their independence at home, whether that means a helping hand with morning routines, companionship through the day, or more comprehensive personal care. For those living with dementia, we take a patient, person centred approach, focusing on gentle reassurance, consistent routines and meaningful engagement that honours who someone is, not just what they need. We also support adults with physical disabilities, offering practical assistance with mobility, personal care and daily living whilst always respecting dignity and choice. Our experience extends to individuals with visual or hearing impairments, where clear communication, thoughtful environmental awareness and sensitive support make a genuine difference to confidence and wellbeing. We are equally committed to younger adults who require care at home, tailoring our approach to reflect the goals, aspirations and lifestyles of people at every stage of adulthood. In practice, this means families can expect care that adapts to the person rather than asking the person to adapt to the care. Whether a loved one needs a short visit to help with medication and breakfast, or longer periods of companionship and personal support, we work closely with families to build a plan that feels right. We understand that inviting a carer into the home is a significant step, and we take great care to build trusting, respectful relationships from the very first visit. Mariah Care is currently awaiting its first Care Quality Commission inspection and therefore does not yet hold a published overall rating. Whilst a rating provides useful reassurance, its absence at this stage simply reflects that we are a newer provider. We remain fully registered with and regulated by the CQC, and we welcome open conversations with families about our approach, our team and the standards we hold ourselves to every day. If you are exploring home care options in Gillingham or across Medway for yourself or someone you love, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please do get in touch to arrange a friendly, no obligation conversation, and let us show you how thoughtful, tailored home care can help your family feel supported, safe and truly at home.

We are Connect and Care, a home care agency in Chatham, in the Medway towns. We support people in their own homes, working with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment. With that spread of needs there is no standard package to offer, and we do not pretend there is. Our first conversation is about the person's ordinary day, what has become difficult and what they want to keep managing themselves, and everything is built from those answers and revisited as circumstances change. Continuity is the part we work hardest at. Sending the same carers to the same households takes more effort to roster and it improves care more than anything else we could do, particularly where somebody finds new people difficult or communicates in a way that takes time to learn. Because the work happens in somebody else's home, how we behave there counts as much as what we do. Asking before we move anything, putting it back where it belongs, and arriving when we said we would. We keep families informed and work alongside GPs, community teams and social workers. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

Mulberry House provides care at home for people in Gillingham and across Medway. We keep what we do straightforward: reliable, respectful support in the place where somebody already lives, for as much or as little of the day as they need. Most of our work is with older people. We help with washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, meals and drinks, laundry, shopping and keeping the home comfortable. We also help people get out, whether that is to an appointment, to the shops or just for some air, because that is usually the part that goes first and the part people miss most. We support adults with mental health needs, where the most useful thing we do is turn up reliably, without judgement, and stay long enough to be of real use. We also support younger adults, arranging visits around work, study and family life rather than around our own convenience. Keeping the same care workers going to the same households matters to us. Familiarity means somebody notices when things are not quite right, and it means the person being visited is not forever explaining themselves to a stranger. Care is arranged after a proper conversation with the person and, if they want, their family, and reviewed as needs change. If something is not working we would far rather hear it early. Please ring us to talk it through.

We provide care at home in Rochester and across Medway, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing. Our part is practical. We arrange visits at the times that suit, help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals, shopping and housework, assistance to move about the house safely, and company for somebody who spends too much of the week alone. Where needs are greater we arrange more frequent calls, and where they change we review the plan rather than leaving it as it was first agreed. What people really judge an agency on is whether carers arrive when they said they would and whether it is the same faces each week. We work at both. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually withdrawn, and for people living with dementia a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written down. Where sight or hearing is poor, small habits matter: saying who you are on coming in and leaving things where they were put. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach senior colleagues for advice. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are looking into care at home, please get in touch for an honest conversation.

Agincare UK Medway is a home care agency based in Chatham, supporting adults in their own homes across Medway. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment and people managing a mental health condition. Calls cover personal care, medication, meals, help to move safely about the home, shopping, appointments and company. Families frequently ask what happens when something goes wrong at an awkward hour, and it is a fair question. A fall at the weekend, a missed call, a sudden change in somebody's condition. We would rather be judged on those moments than on the easy weeks, so there is always somebody contactable who knows the person, and we tell relatives what has happened promptly rather than leaving them to work it out. The everyday work counts just as much. We ask how a person already manages, fill in the gaps rather than take over, keep visiting teams small and revisit the plan as needs change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are arranging support at home in Medway, please get in touch and we will talk through what would actually be useful, including the point at which visits stop being enough.

We at Rey Healthcare are proud to offer compassionate home care across Rochester and the wider Medway area, bringing professional support directly to the people who need it most within the comfort of their own homes. Based in the ME postcode area, our team covers Rochester and its surrounding communities, meaning we are well placed to respond promptly to the families who rely on us. Delivering care in someone's own home carries a special responsibility, and we treat every household we visit with the respect, discretion, and warmth that we would wish for our own loved ones. Familiar surroundings, treasured possessions, and daily routines all play a vital role in wellbeing, and our approach is built around preserving what makes each person's home feel like theirs. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the community we support. We provide care for older people who wish to remain independent at home for as long as possible, offering everything from companionship and practical daily help through to more involved personal care. For those living with dementia, we take the time to understand each individual's history, preferences, and triggers, delivering patient and consistent support that reduces anxiety and helps maintain a sense of continuity. We also support adults with physical disabilities, tailoring our care to promote independence, mobility, and dignity in every interaction. In addition, we work with younger adults who benefit from thoughtful, person centred support that respects their goals and lifestyle. In practice, this means families can rely on us for a flexible programme of care that adapts as needs change. Whether a loved one requires a short daily visit, regular companionship calls, help with medication and personal care, or more comprehensive support throughout the week, we work closely with families to build a plan that truly fits. We believe good home care is a partnership, and we keep communication open so that relatives always feel informed and reassured. As a newer entry on the CQC register, Rey Healthcare has not yet received a formal rating. We view this as an opportunity rather than a limitation: every visit is a chance to demonstrate the standards we hold ourselves to, and we welcome the scrutiny that regulation brings. Families can expect the same professionalism, safeguarding awareness, and commitment to quality that underpins the very best providers in the sector. Choosing home care for someone you love is a significant decision, and we understand the mixture of hope and worry that families often feel. If you are exploring options in Rochester or the surrounding Medway area, we would be delighted to hear from you, answer your questions honestly, and discuss how we can help your family navigate this next chapter with confidence and peace of mind.

J.C Michael Groups provides care in people's own homes in Rochester and across Medway. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people living with mental health conditions, adults with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults. Almost everyone who contacts us wants the same thing, which is to carry on living where they are. Home is where the routines make sense, where the neighbours are known and where somebody still feels in charge of their own day. Our work is to make that possible for as long as it safely can be. What that involves varies a great deal. It might be a single call each morning to help someone get up, wash and take their medication. It might be several visits across the day covering personal care, meals, prompting and company. For a younger adult it is often the practical support that keeps a home, a job or a course going. We plan each arrangement with the person rather than presenting a package, and we review it properly when circumstances change. Continuity is what we build our rotas around, because personal care is easier to accept from a familiar face and because a carer who knows somebody notices quickly when they are unwell. If you are looking at home care for yourself or a relative in Medway, please call us and ask whatever you need to know.

Vitality Support provides care in people's own homes in Rochester and across Medway. We work with older people and with younger adults who need support to manage everyday life in the way they choose. Much of what we do sounds unremarkable and makes all the difference. A hand at the start of the morning with washing and dressing. Medication prompted or given safely. A hot meal at a sensible hour. Shopping and laundry kept on top of. Someone familiar in the house who notices how a person actually is today. These are the things that let people stay where they want to be. We plan calls around the person's own routine rather than what suits a rota, keep the team going into a household small and steady, and give notice when a familiar carer is away. The plan is agreed with the person, written down plainly and revisited when circumstances change. Our carers are trained before they work alone and supervised in people's homes once they do, and we expect concerns to be raised the day they arise. We are a newer team and have not yet had a full inspection of our own, which we would rather state plainly than let you discover. Please ask us searching questions. We are a home care agency in Rochester, supporting people in their own homes across Medway. Those we visit include older adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. We are in somebody else's home, as a guest, and we try to behave that way. We knock and wait. We ask before moving anything. We put things back where they belong. We do not rearrange a kitchen because it would suit the way we work. That sounds like etiquette and it is nearer the heart of the job: a person who feels their home has been taken over by their care has lost something real, even if every task on the plan was completed properly. Practically we help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and keeping a household in order, and we aim that help at what has genuinely become difficult. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so than let the silence speak for us. Families are welcome to ask how we recruit, train and check our carers, to meet the people who would be visiting, and to judge us on what they find.

Right Haven for Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Gillingham and across Medway. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, and people whose physical disability makes everyday tasks difficult. We are practical about what home care is for. Most people who approach us are not looking to hand over their lives, they are looking for enough help to keep them, so we ask what has become difficult, agree how we can help with exactly that, and stay out of the rest. Our visits may cover personal care, prompting and support with medication, preparing meals and drinks, help with moving about safely, shopping, laundry and housework, or support to get out to appointments. Some people need a short daily call and others need several longer visits, and we adjust the arrangement as circumstances change. For people living with dementia, we keep the same carers visiting and learn a person's habits and history properly, because familiarity reduces distress more reliably than anything else we can offer. Our carers are trained and supervised, and we keep families and other professionals properly informed. If you are considering care at home in Medway, please ring us and we will arrange to visit you.

We are Morningside Care, and we support adults in their own homes in Chatham and across Medway. Our visits range from a single short call each day through to several hours of support, arranged to fit the person's routine rather than our convenience. We help older people with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and the household jobs that become harder with time. We support adults living with dementia, where familiar faces arriving at predictable times do more good than anything else we can offer, so we keep the same care workers with the same households as far as the rota allows. We also support people with physical disabilities, taking care over equipment and over how each person prefers to be assisted, and younger adults who want help that reduces as their confidence grows. Everything starts with a visit and a proper conversation at home, with family or an advocate present if that is wanted. We agree what the calls are for, what must never be missed and what the person would rather manage alone, and we write it down and review it honestly. We at Azure Care are proud to provide compassionate home care across Chatham and the wider Medway area, supporting people to live well and safely in the place they know best: their own home. As a dedicated home care agency, we bring warmth, professionalism, and personalised support directly to your doorstep. Operating throughout the ME postcode area, our team travels across Chatham and surrounding Medway communities to reach the people who need us. Because we deliver care in your own home, the environment is one you already love, filled with your memories, your routines, and your comforts. Our role is to fit gently around your life, whether that means a short morning visit to help with breakfast and medication, or more comprehensive support throughout the day. We take time to understand each household, from favourite armchairs to preferred cups of tea, so that every visit feels familiar rather than clinical. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the community we serve. We support older people who wish to remain independent at home, offering practical help with daily living, companionship, and gentle encouragement. For those living with dementia, our carers are trained to provide calm, patient, and consistent support, using approaches that reduce anxiety and promote dignity. Familiar faces and steady routines matter enormously in dementia care, and we work hard to ensure continuity wherever possible. We also support adults with physical disabilities, helping with mobility, personal care, and the everyday tasks that can become challenging. For people living with visual or hearing impairment, our team adapts communication and daily support to promote confidence and safety around the home. We are equally committed to younger adults who require care, recognising that good support at any age is about enabling ambition, independence, and a full life, not simply meeting basic needs. In practice, this means families can expect thoughtful care plans built around the individual rather than a fixed template. It means loved ones being listened to, choices being respected, and small preferences being remembered. For relatives who live nearby or far away, it means the reassurance of knowing a trusted team is checking in, communicating openly, and noticing the details that matter. We are proud that our most recent CQC inspection, in December 2025, awarded us an Outstanding overall rating. Within that judgement, we were rated Outstanding for being Effective and Outstanding for being Caring, with Good ratings for Safe, Responsive, and Well-led. For families, an Outstanding overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is a meaningful assurance. It reflects independent recognition that the care we provide is of a genuinely high standard, that outcomes for the people we support are strong, and that kindness and compassion sit at the heart of what our team does every day. We treat this rating not as a destination but as a commitment to keep learning and improving in the areas where we can do even better. Choosing home care is a significant decision, and we understand that families often begin this journey feeling uncertain, worried, or simply overwhelmed by the options. Please know that you do not have to navigate it alone. Whether you are exploring support for a parent, a partner, or yourself, we would be delighted to have a gentle, no pressure conversation about what might help. Reach out to Azure Care to learn more about how we can support your family in Chatham and across Medway with care that feels personal, professional, and deeply human.

We are based at 7 Byron Road in Gillingham, and we provide support to adults in their own homes across Medway. Much of our work is with adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people living with mental ill health, including many younger adults who are building a life of their own. What we do is practical and specific to the person. It can mean help with personal care, medication and health appointments. It can mean cooking, shopping, cleaning, managing money and keeping a tenancy going. Just as often it means support to do the things that make a week worth having, whether that is a job, a course, a club, the gym, the shops or seeing friends and family. Where somebody is learning to do more for themselves, our aim is to step back as their confidence grows rather than to keep the hours going. We pay close attention to how each person communicates and to what makes a day feel manageable. Predictable routines and clear information given in good time matter enormously, so we get those details right and record what works. Where somebody becomes distressed we look at why rather than simply managing the behaviour. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission. Please get in touch.

Platinum Housing Support and Care at Crown House provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chatham and the surrounding part of Medway. We work with older people and with younger adults. Our purpose is to help people live independently in their own home for as long as that is what they want. The support is built around each person rather than drawn from a standard list, so we begin by asking what is actually getting difficult and what somebody would rather keep doing for themselves. In practice, support can include help with washing and dressing, prompting and assistance with medication, preparing meals and drinks, help with moving about safely, and practical tasks such as shopping, laundry and keeping the home in order. For some of the people we support it also means help with money and paperwork, and getting out to appointments, work or education. Arrangements are reviewed as circumstances change, and where somebody gains confidence we reduce what we do rather than carrying on out of habit. Our staff are trained for the needs they support and supervised in the work, and we keep teams consistent wherever we can. We support older people who may simply want a helping hand with daily routines, as well as those living with dementia, where consistency, patience and a gentle approach are essential. For families navigating a dementia diagnosis, our involvement can offer welcome reassurance, knowing that a familiar face is calling in to help with meals, medication reminders, personal care or companionship. We also work with younger adults and those with learning disabilities or autism, focusing on independence, dignity and building trusting relationships. For people managing mental health challenges, or recovering from difficulties relating to alcohol or drug misuse, we aim to provide steady, non judgemental support that helps them work towards their personal goals. Our team is equally experienced in assisting people with physical disabilities and those living with visual or hearing impairments, adapting our communication and approach so that every person feels genuinely heard and respected. In practice, this means care plans are shaped around the individual rather than the other way around. Families are welcomed as partners in that process, and we take time to understand preferences, routines, cultural needs and the small details that make a house feel like home. From short daily visits to more comprehensive packages of support, our aim is always to help people live the life they choose, with as much independence as possible. Universal Resolutions is currently listed by the Care Quality Commission as Not Yet Rated. This simply reflects that a full inspection rating has not yet been published, and we would encourage families to speak with us directly, ask questions and request the information they need to feel confident in their choice. We are committed to open, honest conversations and to working to the standards expected of a trusted home care provider in Medway. Choosing care for someone you love is a significant decision, and we understand the weight that comes with it. If you are exploring home care options in Gillingham or the surrounding area, we would be glad to hear from you, learn about your situation, and talk through how we might help. Please get in touch to arrange a friendly, no obligation conversation with our team.

We provide care at home in Gillingham and across Medway. Those we visit include older adults, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Care at home works when the detail is right. Which arm goes into the sleeve first. Whether the tea comes before or after the tablets. Whether somebody wants conversation first thing or would rather not be spoken to until they have properly woken up. We write these things down, pass them between carers, and follow them, because getting them wrong quietly undermines everything else however well the tasks were completed. Where somebody has a sight or hearing impairment we agree at the start how we will announce ourselves and how we will communicate, and we keep to it. A carer who walks in and simply starts talking has already made the visit harder than it needed to be. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we prefer to state that clearly. Until then we would ask families to judge us on the things they can check: how we recruit and train, who we send, whether we arrive when we said, and what the people we already visit say about us.

Fairway provides care and support to people in their own homes in Rochester and across Medway. We take on a broad range of work, because people's circumstances rarely fall into neat categories and nobody should be turned away for being complicated. We support older adults with personal care, medication, meals and the practical business of the week. We support people living with dementia, where familiar carers and steady routines do most of the useful work. We also work with adults who have a learning disability or who are autistic, people living with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment, adults managing mental health conditions, younger adults building independent lives, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug misuse, where our approach is dependable and free of judgement. Every arrangement begins with an honest conversation about what would genuinely help. The plan is agreed with the person, involves family or an advocate where that is wanted, and is reviewed as circumstances change. We aim to keep the same carers visiting the same households, because trust is what makes home care work at all. Our staff are checked before they begin, trained for the tasks they carry out and supported by managers who can be reached when advice is needed. If you would like to discuss support at home in the Medway area, please contact us. We will visit, listen properly and be straight with you about what we can arrange.

At MCH House, we provide home care support to people living in Gillingham and the wider Medway area. We work with individuals across a broad range of needs, including older adults, people living with dementia, those with learning disabilities or autism, mental health conditions, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. We also support younger adults who need a helping hand to live as independently as possible in their own homes. We believe that people deserve to be supported in familiar surroundings, by carers who take the time to genuinely understand them as individuals. Home is where most of us feel safest and most like ourselves, and our role is to make sure that stays the case for the people we work with. That means listening carefully, being consistent, and building relationships that are built on trust rather than just routine. Our approach is straightforward. We talk with the person receiving care and, where appropriate, their family, to understand what matters most to them in their day to day life. From there, we put together support that reflects those priorities rather than a one size fits all package. Needs change over time, and we stay flexible so that our support changes alongside them. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and are committed to maintaining open and transparent practice. We take feedback seriously, whether that comes from the people we support, their families, or the professionals we work alongside. If you are looking for home care in the Gillingham or Medway area, whether for yourself or someone you care about, we would be glad to have a conversation about how we might help. There is no pressure and no obligation, just a straightforward chat about what you need and whether we are the right fit.

Angels Care Solutions provides care at home to people in Chatham and across Medway. We support older people and people living with dementia, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and with visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need support to live independently. We shape our visits around the person's own routine rather than a standard package. That might be a short call first thing to help with washing, dressing and medication so the day starts safely, support at several points with meals, mobility and the house, or help to get out to appointments, the shops and the people who matter. In many of the households we visit, the company and the unhurried conversation are as valuable as the practical help. Before support begins we come out and talk it through with the person and whoever they want present, agree the plan in plain words and write it down. We review it as things change and we say honestly when we think somebody needs more than can safely be provided at home. We work to send the same carers to the same households, because familiar carers notice the small changes, a dropped appetite, a new unsteadiness, a mood that has shifted, and can raise them early. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please contact us to arrange a visit.

We are part of The Kent Autistic Trust, and from our base in Gillingham we support autistic adults and adults with a learning disability in their own homes across Medway. Autism is not a sideline for us and that focus shapes how we work. Support that is well meant but generic can make life harder for an autistic person rather than easier, so we start from the individual and take the time to understand them properly. That means learning how somebody communicates, particularly at the moments when they are overwhelmed and words are hardest to find. It means understanding sensory needs in detail rather than in outline, and knowing which parts of a week are consistently difficult and what actually helps when a day begins to unravel. We record all of that clearly so that nobody supporting a person is working from guesswork, and we keep the same small team going to the same person, because predictability is not a preference here, it is a need. Our role runs from practical help with cooking, budgeting, appointments and travel through to simply being reliably present at hard times. We work alongside families and health colleagues honestly. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

We are the Caremark office covering Medway, providing home care to people in their own homes across the area. We support older people, people living with dementia, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Our starting point is that a care visit should fit into somebody's life rather than interrupt it. That means asking what time a person actually wants to get up rather than what suits the rota, and understanding which tasks someone wants to keep doing for themselves even when it takes longer. Independence is easily worn away by well meant help and we try hard not to be the cause of that. For people living with dementia we keep our visits consistent, with the same carers wherever possible, because familiarity does more good than any technique we could apply. Where sight or hearing is poor we adapt our communication and check that aids are working. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we welcome direct questions from anyone weighing us up.

Here at A.O.O Care, we provide home care support to people living in Chatham and across the Medway area. Our work centres on helping individuals remain in the comfort of their own homes, with the right level of support to suit their everyday needs and personal circumstances. We work with older people and younger adults, recognising that the need for care looks different for everyone. Whether someone requires assistance with daily routines, companionship, or more tailored support as their needs change over time, we aim to build a genuine understanding of who they are and what matters most to them. Care that fits around a person's life, rather than the other way around, is what we try to achieve. We know that inviting a care worker into your home is a significant step, and we do not take that trust lightly. From the very first conversation, we take time to listen properly, to involve the person receiving care and their family in every decision, and to be honest and straightforward about what we can offer. Good communication sits at the heart of how we work. Our team is made up of people who take their responsibilities seriously and who treat everyone they support with genuine respect and dignity. We pay attention to consistency, so that the people in our care are not faced with a constant stream of unfamiliar faces, and relationships can develop naturally over time. We are proud to be part of the Chatham community and to support local people in living as independently and comfortably as possible. If you are looking for home care for yourself or for someone you love, we would be very glad to have a conversation about how we might be able to help.

We at 121 Rochester Avenue are proud to offer compassionate home care to individuals and families across Rochester and the wider Medway area. As a dedicated home care provider, we bring professional, person centred support directly into the place people know and love best: their own homes. Rochester is a wonderful part of the South East to call home, rich in history and community spirit, and our location within the ME postcode area means we are ideally placed to reach those living throughout the town and its surrounding neighbourhoods. Because our care is delivered in your own residence, the familiar surroundings, treasured belongings, and daily routines that make a house a home remain firmly at the heart of every visit. There is no need to leave behind cherished memories, gardens, or neighbours; instead, our team comes to you, fitting sensitively around your lifestyle. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the community we serve. We provide thoughtful support for older people who wish to continue living independently, offering the right level of assistance with daily tasks, personal care, and companionship. For adults living with a physical disability, we work alongside individuals to promote confidence, dignity, and autonomy, tailoring our approach so that support feels empowering rather than intrusive. We also care for people with visual or hearing impairments, adapting our communication and everyday practices to ensure every resident feels genuinely heard, understood, and respected. In addition, we support younger adults whose circumstances mean they benefit from reliable, respectful assistance at home, helping them to pursue the lives they want to lead. In practice, this breadth of expertise means families can feel reassured that their loved one is being looked after by a team that understands the nuances of different conditions and life stages. Whether it is help with getting up in the morning, preparing meals, managing medication routines, attending appointments, or simply enjoying a friendly chat over a cup of tea, our care is shaped around each individual. We take time to listen, to learn preferences, and to build trusted relationships, because we know that consistency and kindness make all the difference when someone is welcoming carers into their home. At present, 121 Rochester Avenue has not yet received a CQC rating. This is often the case for newer providers or those awaiting their first formal inspection, and it does not diminish the standards we hold ourselves to every single day. We remain fully committed to the values and regulatory expectations set by the Care Quality Commission, and we welcome open conversations with families who would like to understand more about how we work, the safeguards we have in place, and the training our team undertakes. Choosing home care is a deeply personal decision, and we understand the weight that comes with finding the right support for someone you love. If you are exploring options in Rochester or the wider Medway area, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch to arrange a friendly, no obligation conversation, so we can begin to understand your needs and show you how our team can help your family feel supported, safe, and truly at home.

Rayron Care supports people in their own homes in Chatham and the surrounding parts of Medway. We work with older people and with younger adults who need help to manage daily life. Most people contact us at a point where things have got harder and staying at home has started to feel uncertain. Our job is to make it workable again. That might mean a short call first thing to help with washing, dressing and getting breakfast, or several visits across the day, support with medication, help to get out to appointments, or a longer visit so a family carer can have a proper break. We meet the person before anything starts and agree what would actually help, rather than arriving with a package already decided. The plan goes into plain writing, and when things change we change it instead of carrying on out of habit. We put effort into sending the same carers to the same households. Letting somebody into your home to help with private things is much easier when you know their face, and regular carers spot quickly when a person is unwell or unsettled. We are straight with people about what we can and cannot do. If we think somebody needs more than home care can safely provide, we will say so. Please get in touch if you would like to talk through support for yourself or a relative.

We are Victory Locum, a home care provider based in Rochester and supporting people in their own homes across Medway and the wider Kent area. The people we support are varied. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who want to live independently with support in place. Our starting point is always a conversation in the person's own home. We look at what someone can still do and wants to keep doing, what is genuinely difficult, and what would actually help. From that we agree a plan together, whether that means a single morning call, visits across the day, or a larger package covering personal care, medication, meals and help around the house. We take continuity seriously. Sending the same carers to the same households is better care, and it is also what makes somebody comfortable enough to mention the thing they would not raise with a stranger. Our carers are trained for the work they are sent to do, and the office stays reachable so that families are not left chasing. We liaise with district nurses, GPs and social workers where they are involved. If you are weighing up care at home for yourself or a relative, please call us and we will come and talk it through.

We provide care at home in Gillingham and across Medway. Those we support include older adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and people managing mental health conditions. We plan each person's support individually, because that range describes lives with very little in common beyond needing a hand with something. For autistic adults and people with learning disabilities we are careful to be exactly where we said, at the time we said, doing what was agreed, because improvising is rarely helpful. For people living with dementia, continuity does most of the work, so we send the same faces wherever the rota allows. Reliability is what families ask about first and it is the part of this sector that most often fails. We keep our rounds realistic, we do not agree to patterns of care we cannot honestly staff, and we give notice in advance when something has to move. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so plainly. Families are welcome to ask how we recruit, train and check the carers we send, and to meet them before any care begins.

We are GUTU, a home care agency in Chatham, in the Medway towns. We support people in their own homes, working with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people affected by alcohol and drug misuse. That breadth means there is no standard arrangement to offer. We start by asking what an ordinary day looks like for the person, where it has become difficult and what they want to go on doing themselves, and we build from those answers rather than from a list of what we provide. Some of the people we support need patience over a long period rather than intensity over a short one. Where progress is not a straight line, the most useful thing a carer can be is steady and unshockable, arriving as agreed and not treating a difficult week as a reason to step back. We work alongside GPs, community teams and social workers, and we keep the same carers with the same people wherever the rota allows. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating.

We are Home Instead Medway, based in Gillingham, and we provide care in people's own homes across Medway. We support older people, including a great many living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Our starting point is that home is worth holding on to. The familiar layout, the usual routine, the freedom to please yourself about when to get up and what to have for tea: these are not small comforts, and with the right support most people can keep them for far longer than they expect. Every arrangement starts with a conversation in the person's own home, covering what already works, what has become difficult, and what would actually help. Visits are set around that, whether that means half an hour in the morning, several calls a day, or longer companionship visits for somebody who is isolated or whose relative needs time away. We match carers thoughtfully and keep them with the same households, because the relationship is what makes this work. For people living with dementia in particular, a familiar face at the door does more good than any technique. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are just beginning to look into care for a parent or partner, do ring us. We are happy to talk with no commitment at all.

Lauriem Bellerphon House provides care at home to adults in Rochester and across Medway. We visit older people who need help to carry on living in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and younger adults who need support to live independently. Our visits cover personal care given without rushing, prompting and support with medication, meals, laundry, shopping and help to get out to appointments or simply out for some air. Some people need half an hour first thing and nothing more. Others need several longer calls a day, and what somebody needs usually shifts over time, so we review arrangements honestly rather than letting a plan sit unchanged. For people living with dementia, home is often the very thing keeping them settled, and that makes continuity essential. The same carers arriving at the same times will do more good than anything else we could offer, so we plan rotas around that rather than around convenience. For people with a physical disability we pay attention to equipment, moving and handling done properly, and above all to allowing enough time, since rushing is where both dignity and safety go. If you are arranging support at home locally, please get in touch and we will talk through what would actually help.

Community Careline provides support in people's own homes in Gillingham and across Medway. Our work is to give people enough help to carry on living in their own houses, delivered by carers they know. We visit older people needing assistance with washing, dressing, meals and medication, and people living with dementia, where familiar faces and a settled routine count for a great deal. We support people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, including safe help with moving and transfers, people whose sight or hearing is impaired and younger adults needing support to live independently. We want to be plain about where we stand. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are working through what was identified, with attention to staff supervision, record keeping and making sure visits are delivered as planned and at the agreed times. We would rather tell you that ourselves and answer your questions than have you find it elsewhere. All support starts with a home visit and a proper conversation about what is needed. We provide care at home in Rochester and across Medway, supporting older adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and younger adults. Our work covers washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and keeping a household ticking over, together with the company that a regular caller brings. For some of the people we visit ours is the only knock at the door that day, and we do not treat the conversation as the part to trim when the round is running late. We aim our help at what has genuinely become hard and leave alone what somebody would rather keep doing themselves. That takes discipline on a busy morning, and it is the difference between supporting a person and gradually taking their competence from them. With dementia, consistency does most of the work: the same carer at the same time, in the same order, in a home where nothing has been rearranged. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather state that plainly than write around the gap. Ask us how we recruit, train and check our carers, and meet them before anything is agreed.

Arranging and funding home care in Medway
The shape of a typical package
Visiting care is bought in blocks of time rather than as a place to live, so the support is built around specific moments in the day. A common arrangement is a morning call to help someone wash, dress and take medication, with shorter visits at lunchtime and bedtime added as needs grow. Other households use a single weekly visit for bathing or shopping, and some move towards waking nights or live in support later on. Because the package is assembled from parts, it can be adjusted as circumstances change without anyone having to move.
Reading the inspection picture
Every agency listed on this page is registered with the Care Quality Commission, and the rating it currently holds appears on its profile with the full report behind it. Across Medway those ratings include Good, Requires Improvement and Inadequate, and some agencies are not yet rated because they have registered too recently to be inspected. A rating of Requires Improvement is not automatically a reason to walk away, but it is a reason to read the report and ask what has changed since the inspectors visited. Where a provider is not yet rated, the weight shifts onto the questions you put to the manager directly.
The things that decide whether it works
Continuity is what most families come to value above everything else, so ask how many different carers will come in a fortnight and whether the rota is shared in advance. Timekeeping matters just as much, particularly where medication has to be given within a window, so ask what counts as a late call and who telephones you when one happens. Check that the agency actually covers your part of Medway, that it can staff the hours you want rather than the hours it has spare, and that it is equipped for any moving and handling or dementia support involved.
Choosing between home care agencies in Medway
Requesting a care needs assessment
Any adult who appears to need help at home has a right to a care needs assessment, and it costs nothing regardless of savings. A practitioner will go through an ordinary day in detail, covering personal care, meals, medication, moving about the house and how safe someone feels alone, then record which needs are eligible. Requests can be made through Medway Council adult social care by the person themselves or, with their agreement, by a relative, GP or hospital team. A relative providing regular unpaid support can ask for a carer's assessment of their own at the same time.
Who pays, and how much
Eligibility for care and eligibility for funding are decided separately. Once needs are agreed, a financial assessment looks at income, savings and capital to determine whether the council contributes, whether costs are shared, or whether the person pays privately. Those who qualify for support can take a direct payment and choose their own agency from this page rather than accept a commissioned one. Anyone funding themselves can still ask the council for information and advice about arranging care.
Working out the likely cost
Visiting care is charged by the hour or by the visit, so the weekly total follows from how often carers come and how long they stay. Ask for rates in writing covering weekdays, weekends and bank holidays, and check minimum call lengths, travel charges and the notice required to cancel. Live in arrangements are usually quoted weekly instead, which makes them hard to compare against hourly care without doing the sums carefully.

They range from branches of established groups such as Agincare Enable Supported Living (Medway) to independent local providers including Rosemont Care Medway and Visiting Angels Central Kent. Each agency sets its own coverage area, so one based slightly further away may still serve your street while a closer one does not. Checking the individual profiles is the fastest way to see who genuinely operates where you live.
What should I ask a home care agency in Medway before agreeing anything?
Begin with continuity and ask how many different carers will visit over a fortnight, and whether you receive the rota in advance. Follow up on reliability by asking what happens when a carer is off sick or running late, and who answers the telephone in the evening or at a weekend. Ask for the full rate card in writing, including weekends, bank holidays, travel charges and cancellation notice. It is also worth asking how often the care plan is reviewed and what the agency does when someone's needs increase suddenly.
What is the difference between home care and a care home in Medway?
Home care sends a carer to the person's own address for agreed visits, helping with washing, dressing, meals, medication and company while everything else about daily life stays the same. A residential care home provides a room, meals and care staff on site throughout the day and night, and a nursing home adds registered nurses for needs that require clinical oversight. Home care tends to suit people whose needs can be met within planned blocks of time in a house that remains safe to live in. When support is needed unpredictably or through the night, a residential or nursing placement usually becomes the safer choice.
Can Medway Council pay for home care?
Medway Council can contribute towards the cost of home care once a care needs assessment has confirmed eligible needs. A separate financial assessment then considers income, savings and capital, and the outcome decides whether the council funds the package fully, shares the cost, or treats the person as a self funder. Those who qualify may take a direct payment, which allows them to select an agency from this listing themselves. People who fund their own care can still approach the council for advice on arranging support.
How do I arrange a care needs assessment in Medway?
Contact Medway Council adult social care and ask for a care needs assessment, either by telephone or through the referral form on its website. The request can come from the person needing care, or from a relative, GP or hospital discharge team acting with their consent. Keeping a short note beforehand of the moments in the day that feel hardest gives the assessor a much clearer picture. If a relative provides regular unpaid help, they can request a carer's assessment alongside it.
How far ahead should I start looking for home care in Medway?
Where care is being planned rather than arranged urgently, allowing a few weeks gives time to compare agencies, read inspection reports and meet a coordinator before visits begin. Assessments and financial checks take time to complete, and the agencies with the strongest reputations may not have capacity at the exact hours you want. Hospital discharges move far more quickly, so if an admission looks likely it pays to shortlist providers in advance. Having two or three names already in mind stops a sudden change forcing a rushed choice.
