About Us
We provide care at home in Rochester and across Medway, supporting older adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and younger adults.
Our work covers washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and keeping a household ticking over, together with the company that a regular caller brings. For some of the people we visit ours is the only knock at the door that day, and we do not treat the conversation as the part to trim when the round is running late.
We aim our help at what has genuinely become hard and leave alone what somebody would rather keep doing themselves. That takes discipline on a busy morning, and it is the difference between supporting a person and gradually taking their competence from them.
With dementia, consistency does most of the work: the same carer at the same time, in the same order, in a home where nothing has been rearranged.
We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather state that plainly than write around the gap. Ask us how we recruit, train and check our carers, and meet them before anything is agreed.
