About Us
Platinum Housing Support and Care at Crown House provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chatham and the surrounding part of Medway. We work with older people and with younger adults.
Our purpose is to help people live independently in their own home for as long as that is what they want. The support is built around each person rather than drawn from a standard list, so we begin by asking what is actually getting difficult and what somebody would rather keep doing for themselves.
In practice, support can include help with washing and dressing, prompting and assistance with medication, preparing meals and drinks, help with moving about safely, and practical tasks such as shopping, laundry and keeping the home in order. For some of the people we support it also means help with money and paperwork, and getting out to appointments, work or education.
Arrangements are reviewed as circumstances change, and where somebody gains confidence we reduce what we do rather than carrying on out of habit.
Our staff are trained for the needs they support and supervised in the work, and we keep teams consistent wherever we can.
