Here at Maple Leaf Lodge, we are a care home based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, providing a warm and homely environment for the people who live with us. We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the genuine effort our whole team puts into the day to day life of everyone in our care. We support older people across a range of needs, including residential care, dementia care, care for those living with a physical disability, and respite care for those who need a shorter stay. Whether someone moves in with us permanently or comes for a period of rest and recovery, we aim to make sure they feel settled, respected and at home from the very first day. Dementia care is something we take seriously. We understand how unsettling it can be for both the person living with dementia and for their family, and we work hard to create a calm, familiar and reassuring atmosphere that helps people feel safe and understood. Our approach is built around knowing each person as an individual, their history, their preferences and what matters most to them. For families considering respite care, we know it can feel like a big decision. We try to make the transition as straightforward as possible and to keep families informed and involved throughout. We are part of the Grantham community and many of our residents have lived in and around the area for much of their lives. That local connection matters to us. We see our role not just as providing care, but as offering a place where people can continue to live with dignity, comfort and a genuine sense of belonging. If you would like to find out more or arrange a visit, we would be very happy to hear from you.

Toray Pines is a residential care home in Lincoln caring for older people who need more support than can safely be managed at home. We offer permanent places and respite stays, and we take the settling in period seriously, because moving into a care home is a considerable change however well judged the decision. Our residents include people living with dementia, people managing long standing mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults whose needs bring them to us earlier than most. With that range, no single routine would suit everyone, so we learn each person's habits, preferences and history and let those shape the day. Help with washing, dressing, medication, mobility and meals is available whenever it is wanted. What somebody can still do for themselves, they should do, and our job is to keep that possible for as long as we can rather than quietly taking it over. Families are welcome here without ceremony. We keep relatives informed rather than waiting to be asked, and we are straightforward when something has gone wrong as well as when things are going well. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and we treat it as a standard to keep meeting. If you are looking at residential care in Lincoln, please arrange to visit, meet the people who live here and ask us whatever you need to ask.

We are St Luke's Care Home in Lincoln. We provide residential care for older people, including those living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we also support younger adults. Respite stays are available. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement, and we are not going to write around it. We have looked closely at what the inspection found, changed how care is planned, recorded and reviewed, and strengthened the training and supervision of our staff. Our progress is being monitored, and we tell relatives the same things we tell the regulator. What we are working to protect while we do that is ordinary life here. People arrive with their own furniture, pictures and habits, and those come first. What time you wake, where you take your breakfast, how sociable you feel today: those remain your decisions. For people living with dementia, the useful work is in the detail, and where access or communication need proper attention they get it. If you are considering us for someone, please come and see the home and ask about the rating directly. We will answer fully rather than reassuringly.

At SENSE, located on Broadgate Lane in Peterborough, we provide residential care for a wide range of individuals, and we take genuine pride in the community we have built here. Our home supports older people, younger adults, and those living with learning disabilities or autism, as well as individuals with visual or hearing impairments. We also offer respite care for those who need a short break or temporary support. We were pleased to receive an Outstanding rating from the Care Quality Commission, and while that recognition means a great deal to us, what matters most is what we hear from the people who live here and the families who trust us with their loved ones. That feedback shapes everything we do. Life at SENSE is built around the individual. We spend time getting to know each person properly, understanding their history, their preferences, and what a good day looks like for them. Care is not one size fits all, and we would never treat it that way. Whether someone is with us long term or staying for a short period of respite, they receive the same level of attention and respect. Our team works closely with families, health professionals, and local support networks to make sure everyone around a resident is informed and involved. We believe good communication is just as important as good care, and we work hard to maintain open, honest relationships with everyone connected to our home. Peterborough is very much part of who we are. We value our place in the local community and encourage residents to stay connected to the things and people that matter to them, whether that is through activities, outings, or simply having visitors they love spend time with them here. If you would like to find out more about life at SENSE, we would love to hear from you.

- Care Home
The Sycamores is a residential care home in Alford in Lincolnshire. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and we offer respite stays for people who usually live elsewhere. Being a small setting in a small town is the point rather than a limitation. Everybody knows everybody, nobody gets lost in a system, and we can genuinely arrange the week around the actual preferences of the people living here instead of finding a compromise that suits nobody. Rooms belong to the people in them. The shopping is decided by the people who will eat it. Where anybody goes at the weekend is their own decision. A great deal of what we do builds skills rather than doing things for people. Cooking, handling money, travelling into town, making an appointment, keeping in touch with family. Progress can be slow and it can go backwards, and our part is to keep the opportunity open without pressure and to make something of it when it works. Understanding how each person communicates matters more than almost anything else here, particularly where speech is not the main route. We learn each person's way, write it down so that new staff respond identically, and keep checking we have understood rather than assuming. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection, and we keep asking the people living here what should change.

Redcote Residential Home is a care home in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire, looking after older people who need support with everyday living. Our aim is a settled, ordinary household. Residents bring their own furniture and belongings, keep their own habits, choose how they spend the day and see visitors whenever suits them. Meals are planned around what people actually want to eat, and there is company for those who enjoy it and somewhere quiet for those who would rather have their own space. Support is agreed with each resident. We look at what somebody can still manage, what has become difficult and where help genuinely makes a difference, and we take care that assistance does not slide into doing things for people that they would rather do themselves. Independence is easy to erode by accident and hard to give back. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, whether for a planned family break or for support while someone regains confidence after illness or a spell in hospital. Relatives are welcome at any reasonable hour, and what they can tell us about the person is usually more useful than anything on a form. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and look round at a time that suits you and ask us anything you like.

Livingstone Court is a residential care home in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire, supporting adults with a learning disability and adults who are autistic. We also offer respite stays. Support here is planned around individuals rather than around a house routine. We take the time to learn how each person communicates, what they enjoy, what unsettles them and how they like things done. The week belongs to the person, whether that means work, a course, volunteering, regular time with family, a trip to the coast or a quiet routine that nobody interferes with. People choose their own food, keep their own belongings and habits, and have a genuine say in how the house is run. Where somebody wants to take on more for themselves, we support that patiently and expect it to take as long as it takes. When a person becomes distressed, we treat it as information rather than as behaviour to be controlled. There is nearly always a reason for it, and knowing somebody well is what allows us to find it. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you would like to visit, or to talk about a permanent place or a respite stay, please get in touch and we will arrange a time that suits you.

Here at The Rowans in Louth, Lincolnshire, we provide residential care for adults who need a little extra support to live well. Our home supports people with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities and those who are younger adults finding their way in life. We also offer respite care, giving family members and regular carers some well deserved time to rest, knowing their loved one is somewhere safe and genuinely looked after. We are proud that our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in a "good" rating. That matters to us not as a badge on the wall, but as a reflection of the everyday effort that goes into making this a home people are glad to live in. What we care about most is getting to know the people who come through our door as individuals. Everyone here has their own story, their own preferences and their own way of doing things. We work hard to understand what a good day looks like for each person and to make those days happen as often as possible. Whether that means supporting someone to get out into the community, helping them stay connected with family, or simply making sure their favourite meal is on the table, the small things matter enormously to us. Louth is a lovely market town and we think where you live should feel like part of your life, not separate from it. We encourage people to take part in local activities where they can and to feel rooted in the community around them. If you are thinking about care for yourself or someone you love, we would always encourage you to come and visit us. There is no better way to get a feel for who we are than by walking through the door and having a conversation.

We are Alderson House, a residential care home in Mablethorpe, Lincolnshire. We support older people and younger adults, including people living with a mental health condition, and we offer respite stays as well as permanent places. Living with a mental health condition does not stop being part of somebody's life when they move into residential care, and a good placement makes room for that. Some weeks are steadier than others. What helps is a settled environment, staff who do not take a difficult day personally, and a routine that is there to lean on rather than to enforce. We work with community mental health teams, GPs and social workers so that support inside the home and support outside it are genuinely joined up. People here run their own lives as far as they are able and wish to. When to get up, what to eat, how to spend the day, who to see and what to do about their own care and treatment are theirs to decide. Where a decision needs support, we give support rather than substituting our judgement for theirs. Respite stays are useful when a carer needs a break or when somebody would benefit from steadier support for a while before returning home. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

We are Syne Hills Care Home in Skegness, Lincolnshire. We provide residential care for older people, including those living with dementia, and for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and we also take respite stays. Ours is residential rather than nursing care. We support people with the daily things that have become difficult, including washing and dressing, meals, medication and moving about safely, while working with district nurses and GPs for anything beyond our registration. We tell families plainly where that boundary sits, because a placement that turns out to be the wrong fit helps nobody. Because we support people with quite different needs, we plan around individuals rather than running one routine. For residents living with dementia that usually means finding out who somebody has been and building the day around it. For autistic residents it means predictability, a sensory environment that works, and being told what will happen and finding that it turns out to be true. Respite guests are assessed and welcomed exactly as permanent residents are. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

- Care Home
The Willows is a residential care home in Bourne, Lincolnshire. We provide a home for older people and for younger adults who need support with everyday life, and caring for people living with dementia is a large part of our work. We are not a nursing home. What we offer is residential care: help with washing and dressing, medication given on time, meals cooked here, laundry done, and staff on duty through the night as well as the day. Doctors and district nurses come in when clinical care is needed. For a great many people that turns out to be exactly the right level of support, because it removes the effort and the worry without removing the independence. Dementia care rests on consistency and on knowing the person. A familiar order to the day, the same faces and surroundings that are easy to read will settle somebody more surely than anything else we could do. We take time to learn about a person's working life, family and habits, because that is what explains them to us when words begin to fail. Beyond the help they need, residents run their own days, and visitors are welcome rather than merely tolerated. Respite and short stays are available. Please ring us if you would like to look round The Willows and talk things over.

The setting offers a reassuring blend of tranquillity and connection, helping those in our care to feel settled from the very first day. Our specialisms reflect the breadth of experience and compassion within our team. We provide residential care for older people who need day to day support with living well, alongside specialist dementia care for those navigating the challenges of memory loss and cognitive change. For families, this means the reassurance of knowing that loved ones are cared for with patience, understanding, and a person centred approach that honours their history, preferences, and personality. We also welcome adults with learning disabilities and those on the autism spectrum, offering tailored support that recognises each person's unique needs and encourages independence, dignity, and meaningful engagement. Our respite care option provides invaluable short term support, whether families need a planned break, are recovering from their own health challenges, or simply want the peace of mind of trying our home before considering longer term arrangements. For carers at home, respite can be a lifeline, and we take great pride in offering a seamless, welcoming stay for every guest. Quality and accountability matter deeply to us. Following our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection in March 2022, we were rated Good across every domain assessed, including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. This consistent rating reflects the everyday commitment of our team to deliver care that is not only safe and effective but genuinely compassionate and thoughtfully led. For families, a Good rating across all five domains offers meaningful assurance that the standards being upheld here have been independently reviewed and recognised. Choosing a care home is one of the most important decisions a family can make, and we understand the weight of that choice. If you are exploring options for a loved one in Lincoln or the surrounding Lincolnshire area, we warmly invite you to get in touch, ask questions, and discover whether Welbourn Manor Care Centre could be the right place to call home. People have their own space and their own routines and a genuine say in how the place is run, from the weekly shop through to what happens at the weekend. What we are trying to achieve is not a smoothly run home for its own sake. It is that the people living here get on with the things they actually want to do, whether that is a job, a college course, seeing friends, managing their own money or going out without somebody alongside them. That means knowing people properly. How somebody communicates when they are anxious and words are harder to reach. What their sensory needs are. What genuinely helps when a day starts to go wrong. Boultham Park House is a care home in Lincoln for older people, including those living with dementia. We are close to the park that gives the house its name, which matters more than it might sound, because a walk somewhere green is often the best part of somebody's day. We provide residential care, help with the things that have become difficult, and company for people who had begun to find home a lonely place. Support with washing, dressing, medication and mobility is given discreetly by staff who know how each person likes things done, and we write that down so it does not depend on who happens to be on duty. For people living with dementia, we keep the day familiar and unhurried. We learn the life behind the person, including the work they did and the family they talk about, and we use it to make conversation and to steady things when somebody is distressed. Meals are cooked here and we make sure eating stays sociable and relaxed. Relatives are part of the household as far as we are concerned, and visiting is not something we ration. Short respite stays are available, often for people recovering after a stay in hospital or to give a carer at home a proper rest. The Oaks is a residential care home in Lincoln. We support adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss, including younger adults, and we offer respite stays. This is a house run with the people who live in it rather than around them. Residents choose how their rooms look, what they eat, how they spend their time and what part they play in the household. Cooking, shopping and laundry are things people do with support where they can, because independence grows out of doing things rather than being told about them. Practical detail matters a great deal here. The building is arranged so that people with reduced mobility or restricted sight can get about safely and independently, and our staff are trained in moving and handling and in the equipment people rely on. Where sight or hearing is affected we pay attention to lighting, contrast, sound and how we announce ourselves. Communication takes different forms and we learn each person's, whether speech, signing, pictures, objects or the particular way somebody shows they have had enough. For autistic residents we keep routines stable and give notice of change well in advance. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased with that and clear that it describes how we were found rather than a permanent state of affairs, so we keep working at it. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We are not going to soften that. We know which parts of our work fell short of the standard the people living here deserve, and we are working through them with our team rather than waiting for the next inspection to point them out again. If you are considering us for a relative, please ask us about it directly and ask to see what has actually changed. You are welcome to visit at any reasonable time, look round on an ordinary day and talk to the people who live here and their families.

We are Greenacres, a residential care home in Sleaford. We support older people, including people living with dementia, people managing a mental health condition, and people with a physical disability. We provide residential care rather than nursing care, and we say so clearly to families at the outset. Within that, we help with washing and dressing, support people with medication, provide meals that are worth sitting down to, and make sure nobody spends their days alone unless that is what they want. The home is run around its residents rather than around a schedule. People get up when they are ready, eat what appeals to them and spend their time as they choose. Staff aim to know the people here well enough to notice when somebody is quieter than usual or off their food, since those small signs are what stop problems becoming serious. For those living with dementia, we work patiently and with the person's history in view. Familiar faces, an unhurried pace and a routine that makes sense to the individual are worth more than any activity programme. We keep families properly informed, would always rather ring early about a small concern, and welcome visitors whenever they want to come. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places, which helps family carers who need a break. Please get in touch if you would like to look round.

The Grove Residential Care Home stands in Horncastle, and we look after older people from across this part of Lincolnshire. A number of our residents are living with dementia, several live with sight or hearing loss, and we take respite guests as well. We are a residential home rather than a nursing one, and we think being clear about that helps families plan. What we offer is skilled support with the business of daily living: getting up and dressed, medicines, good food, company when it is wanted and peace when it is not. Where someone's health needs grow beyond that, we say so early and help the family think about what comes next. Sensory loss deserves more thought than it usually gets in a busy home. Sitting where a person can see your face, speaking clearly without shouting, making sure hearing aids actually work and that glasses are clean and to hand. Small things, and they decide whether somebody stays part of the conversation or drifts quietly out of it. Horncastle is a market town and we are part of it. Residents get out, and visitors come in without needing an appointment. Respite stays suit families needing a break and people who want to try us before deciding anything permanent. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Come and see us on a normal afternoon and make your own judgement.

Newhaven Residential Home stands in Alford, and we look after older people from across this part of Lincolnshire. We also support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, including younger adults, and we offer respite stays. We are a residential home rather than a nursing one, and we prefer to be straightforward about that so families can plan. What we provide is patient, skilled help with daily living: getting up and dressed, medicines, mobility, meals worth sitting down to, company when it is wanted and quiet when it is not. If someone's health needs move beyond what we can meet properly, we raise it early rather than letting a situation drift towards a crisis. A home takes its character from the people working in it, so keeping a settled team is what we work hardest at. When staff stay, care stops being a matter of consulting notes and becomes a matter of knowing the person, which residents feel immediately. Alford is a small town and we are part of it. Visitors come without appointments, and residents get out rather than watching the world from a window. Respite stays suit carers needing a break and people regaining their strength after illness. The Care Quality Commission rated us good at our most recent inspection. Please come and see the house at an ordinary moment and talk to whoever you like.

Phoenix Care Centre is a residential care home in Skegness supporting older people, including many living with dementia, and we welcome respite guests. We want the home to feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere people are placed. Mornings are flexible, meals are proper meals, and residents choose how they spend their days. Staff take time to learn what someone actually enjoys, which is usually more specific than any general activities list would suggest, and to learn their history, which in a seaside town is often a long and interesting one. Dementia care is a large part of our work and we approach it patiently. We keep routines familiar, the building calm and the staffing consistent, and we take our lead from the person rather than correcting them. When a resident becomes distressed we treat it as a message with a cause behind it and go looking for that cause, whether it is pain, noise, tiredness or a need nobody has understood yet. Families usually know what settles someone, so we ask. Respite stays give family carers a genuine break, and the person staying receives exactly what a permanent resident receives. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. If you are looking at homes in this part of Lincolnshire, please arrange a visit and see an ordinary day here for yourself.

The Old Hall at Fiskerton in Lincolnshire is a residential care home for adults living with learning disabilities and autism. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are pleased about it, and it is worth being clear what it means. It reflects a judgement made at a point in time about how we support people, and it holds only while we keep doing the things that earned it. Those things take effort to sustain but are not hard to describe. Knowing each person properly, including how they communicate when they are content and how they communicate when they are not. Supporting people to make their own decisions, including decisions we would not have made for them. Building genuine independence in the ordinary business of life, from cooking and money to travel, work and friendships. Being consistent, so that people know who is coming and what to expect. Keeping families and professionals in the picture without talking over the person themselves. Respite stays are available. We welcome visits from anyone considering a place here, and we would encourage more than one before deciding.

Wyngate Residential Care Home provides residential care in Mablethorpe for older people, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. We also take planned respite stays. We try to make this feel like a home rather than somewhere people have been placed. Residents get up when they want, spend their days as they choose, keep their own belongings about them and have visitors whenever it suits them. Our staff help with personal care, medicines, meals and the practical running of the place, and they do it in a way that leaves people as much say as possible over their own lives. The small things are what residents notice. A familiar face on shift, tea made the way you like it, being asked rather than told, and somebody spotting that you are not quite yourself today. For residents living with dementia that familiarity matters far more than any programme of organised activity, and where somebody has a physical disability we agree together how they want to be helped and how much time they need rather than how much time is convenient. Respite stays give family carers a genuine rest, and they let somebody find out what we are like before making a bigger decision. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We ask residents and relatives regularly how we are doing.

We are Abbeygate Retirement Home in Spalding, a residential care home for older people. What we offer is residential care done properly rather than anything more elaborate. Help with washing, dressing and moving about safely. Support with medication. Meals worth sitting down to. Warm, comfortable rooms, and company for those who want it. We are not a nursing home and we are clear with families about that, because the worst outcome for anybody is moving somewhere that cannot meet their needs. The home is run around the people living in it. Nobody is woken to suit a rota. Breakfast happens when somebody comes down rather than at a fixed hour. Some residents like the lounge and the conversation that fills it, others would rather keep to their own room, and neither choice needs defending. Our staff know the people here properly, which is how you notice that somebody is quieter than usual or off their food before it becomes something serious. We keep families in the picture and would far rather make an early call about a small worry. Visitors are welcome whenever suits them. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, which suits family carers needing a break and people building their strength back up after hospital. We are a short stay recovery unit in Boston, Lincolnshire. People come to us for a short while rather than to live permanently, and that shapes everything about how we work. Those we support include older people, adults managing mental health conditions, and younger adults. Because our stays are short we have to be good at beginnings and good at endings. We find out in advance how a person communicates, what their routine is, what they eat, what unsettles them and what settles them again, because a few weeks gives us no time to learn it slowly. And we plan the leaving from close to the start, since a recovery period that ends with somebody going home unprepared has not achieved very much. Our aim is that people leave more able than they arrived rather than more looked after. So we support what somebody can do themselves and resist the pull towards doing everything because it is quicker, even though doing everything would be easier for us in the short weeks we have. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather state that plainly. Anyone considering us is welcome to visit and ask us whatever they want.

Bramhall is a residential care home in Lincoln for older people, including those living with dementia. We are not a nursing home, and what we do well is personal care, a settled daily rhythm and knowing the people who live here as individuals rather than as a set of needs. We help with washing and dressing, medication, meals and anything else that has become difficult, at the pace of the person rather than the pace of a rota. Residents choose when they get up and go to bed, where they spend the day, what they eat and whether they want company or their own quiet room. For residents living with dementia we keep the surroundings familiar and the staff consistent, explain what is happening as we go and try to understand what is behind a change in mood instead of treating it as a symptom. Families usually know a person far better than any assessment does, and what they tell us shapes how we work. Mealtimes are important here. Food is cooked on the premises, we ask people what they actually fancy and nobody is hurried through a plate. Respite stays are available, which can give a family carer a break or let somebody build strength back up after illness. We are Fenchurch House, a residential care home in Spalding. We care for older people and younger adults, and many of those living with us are living with dementia. We aim to feel like somewhere people live rather than somewhere they have been put. People bring their own things, arrange their rooms as they like, come down when they wake rather than when a schedule says so, and spend the day in company or alone as they prefer. Nobody is obliged to join in with anything. Dementia care takes patience and it takes knowing the individual, so we spend time learning about the work somebody did, the family they raised, the music they grew up with and the routines that steady them. We do not correct people about where they are or what year it is. We meet them where they are and find something worth doing together. The staff here know residents well enough to see when somebody is quieter than usual or eating less, and those early signs are what stop small problems becoming serious. We keep families properly informed and would rather ring early than explain later. Visitors are welcome whenever they want to come. We work with GPs, district nurses and social workers, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.

Ashby Court provides residential care in Spilsby for adults, including younger adults and adults with learning disabilities and autism. We also offer planned respite stays. We are a small home and the people who live here are adults with their own lives rather than a group to be managed together. Everybody has their own room, their own routine and a real say in how the house runs. Our staff help with personal care, medicines, meals, money and the ordinary work of keeping a household going, and we deliberately stand back where somebody can manage alone, because independence is easily eroded by being helpful. For adults with learning disabilities and autism, the particulars matter enormously. How a person communicates, what makes an environment tolerable, how much notice they need before something changes, and which parts of the day they would rather handle themselves are all things we learn from the person rather than assume from a diagnosis. When change cannot be avoided, we prepare for it properly and at their pace. Life here is not meant to stop at the front door. We support people to keep up with family and friends and to get to the groups, activities, work or college that matter to them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please visit, and spend time with the people who already live here.

We are Chestnut House at Marton, a residential care home supporting adults who are managing a mental health condition. Most of the people who live here are younger adults. Our focus is deliberately narrow. It means the staff here are genuinely experienced in the work rather than being asked to cover everything, and it means the house is set up around what actually helps people with mental ill health rather than around a general model of care. Most of what we do is quiet and consistent. A settled routine that a person can rely on. Staff who stay long enough to be known and trusted. Support with medication that is reliable without being heavy handed. Practical help with the things that slip when somebody is unwell, from meals and laundry to appointments and correspondence. Somebody to talk to when things are difficult, and the good sense not to make a crisis of every bad day. Where people want to move towards more independence, we work at it at their pace and we do not treat a setback as a reason to stop. We keep in close contact with community mental health teams, GPs and social workers. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. We are Oliver House, a residential care home in Lincoln. We support older people and younger adults, including adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people with a visual or hearing impairment, and we offer respite stays as well as permanent places. Where a learning disability and a sensory impairment sit together in the same person, the two cannot be dealt with separately. Somebody who cannot see or hear well and who also finds spoken language difficult needs communication that has been genuinely worked out rather than assumed, and an environment set up with them in mind. That is the first thing we do and we check it is working rather than trusting that it is. Predictability does much of the rest. Saying what will happen and when, and then being right about it, is worth more than reassurance. Where a routine matters we protect it, and where the physical environment causes difficulty we change the environment. Choice runs through the day as far as it can, with help offered rather than imposed. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and do not currently hold an overall rating.

White Gables Care Home is a residential home in Boston, Lincolnshire, caring for older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We try to run a house rather than an institution, and the difference lies mostly in small decisions. People get up when they are ready. Meals are unhurried and worth turning up for. Somebody who wants their own company can have it without being coaxed into the lounge. Help with washing and dressing is given in a way that protects dignity, which usually comes down to asking first, explaining what we are doing, and never taking over a task a person can still manage themselves. Dementia care is a significant part of our work, and the most useful knowledge almost always comes from families. What someone did for a living, who they are thinking of when the late afternoon becomes unsettled, what music helps. We ask for that, write it down and pass it between shifts. Respite stays are available as well as permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please do come and look round.

Tigh Coilean is a residential care home in Lincoln supporting adults living with learning disabilities and autism, including younger adults. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We think it is better to say that plainly at the start than to let it surface later. It is not the judgement we wanted. There is an improvement plan, we are working through it with the people who live here, their families and the professionals involved, and anybody considering a place is entitled to ask precisely what is changing, who is accountable for it and what evidence there is that it is working. The life of the house carries on meanwhile and it belongs to the people in it. They have a say in how the place runs, what is cooked and what the week contains. We support people to do as much for themselves as they want to and can, and communication is planned around each individual, because being properly understood is the foundation everything else rests on. Respite stays are available. We would encourage families and professionals to visit and see how we are getting on.

Rayleigh House is a residential care home in Skegness caring for older people who need support with everyday life, including residents living with dementia. We provide the practical daily help that makes comfortable living possible: assistance to wash and dress, medication managed properly and on time, meals cooked on the premises, help to move about safely and staff available at night. Beyond that we try not to organise people's lives for them. Residents decide when they get up, where they spend the day and who they want to see. Dementia care here depends on continuity. Familiar faces, a predictable rhythm and surroundings that stay where they are expected to be remove a good deal of anxiety, so we plan rotas accordingly and take time to learn about each resident's life from their family. Knowing that somebody spent years in a particular trade, or has always hated being fussed over, is genuinely useful information. Respite stays are available, whether to give a family carer a proper break or to help somebody regain confidence after illness or a hospital stay. Waterloo House is a residential care home in Market Rasen, caring for older people who can no longer manage safely on their own, and supporting people managing mental health conditions and younger adults. We aim for the feel of a household rather than an institution, with people keeping their own routines, their own belongings and a genuine say in how their day goes. We support people living with dementia, and that work depends on continuity above all. Knowing what somebody's day used to look like and keeping as much of it as we can matters more than any amount of written planning. Respite stays are available too, for people who need care for a short period and for family carers who need a break. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We would rather say that plainly than talk around it. We have worked through the findings and our attention has gone to the things that shape daily life here rather than to paperwork alone. If you are considering Waterloo House, please come and visit, talk to the staff and ask us directly what we have changed and how we know it is working.

- Care Home
The Cottage is a small residential care home in Lincoln supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Most of the people living here are younger adults, and we treat the place as their home rather than as a service they have been placed into. Being small matters. It means the people living here know one another properly and it means we know them properly too, which is what makes support genuinely individual rather than individual on paper. People decorate their own rooms, are involved in the shopping and cooking, and come and go to work, college, clubs and family as they choose. Support is worked out with each person and reviewed with them. Communication gets particular attention, and we use whatever suits the individual, whether that is speech, signing, symbols, objects of reference or simply knowing somebody well enough to understand what they are telling you. Getting that right is what turns being told about a decision into actually making one. Short respite stays are available, which can give a family carer a break or let somebody see how they get on here before any longer decision is taken. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to come and see the house.

Genesis Residential Home is a care home in Spalding, Lincolnshire. We provide a permanent home to older people and to some younger adults, and we also offer respite stays for those who need care for a short spell or whose regular carer needs a break. The people who live with us have a wide range of needs. Many need help with personal care, mobility, medication and meals. A number are living with dementia, and for them we keep the day familiar, keep the same staff around and take the time that is needed rather than the time that is convenient. We support people living with mental ill health, working alongside community mental health colleagues, and people with physical disabilities, where equipment, seating and access decide how much somebody can do for themselves. We also support people living with sight or hearing loss, adjusting how we approach, speak to and inform each person. Meals are cooked on the premises and people are asked what they would like. There is somewhere sociable to sit and somewhere quiet, nobody has to join in with anything, and visitors do not need an appointment. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please arrange to come and see us and ask us whatever you need to know.

- Care Home
Five Bells Residential Care Home is in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. We provide a permanent home to older people, and we also offer respite stays for those who need care for a short spell or whose family carer needs a break. Most of our residents need help with washing and dressing, moving about safely, medication and meals, and reassurance that somebody is nearby at night. A good number are living with dementia, and we let that shape the whole house rather than treating it as a separate wing. The day follows a recognisable pattern, familiar staff are around, people keep their own belongings and habits, and somebody who is anxious gets company and time rather than correction. We also support people with physical disabilities, where equipment, seating and access decide how much independence somebody actually has. Food is cooked on the premises and people are asked what they would like. There is somewhere sociable to sit and somewhere quiet, a garden that gets used when the weather allows, and visitors do not need an appointment. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Choosing a home for yourself or a relative is not a decision to make from a brochure, so please come and visit, at a mealtime if you can, and talk to whoever is on duty.

18 Water Gate is a residential care home in Spalding supporting adults with learning disabilities, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing. Many of the people living here have more than one of those, and that combination shapes the way the whole house works. When somebody has little sight and little hearing, the ordinary assumptions of care stop holding. You cannot announce yourself from a doorway. You cannot rely on a person overhearing what is going on. A great deal of what might look like withdrawal is really a failure on our part to make contact in a way that reaches somebody. So we treat communication as the central task rather than a preliminary to it, using touch, signing on the hand, objects of reference, routine and consistency, whatever works for the individual. Beyond that this is a home like any other. People arrange their own rooms, take part in the running of the house, and are supported to get out and to see family. Short respite stays are available. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

Keal View is a residential care home in Spilsby, Lincolnshire, supporting adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults and people with physical disabilities, including younger adults. We also offer respite stays for people who need support for a shorter period. The people who live here call it home, and our job is to help each of them live the life they choose within it, with as much independence as they want and as much support as they need. We help with personal care where it is wanted, with cooking, laundry and shopping, with medication and appointments, and with managing money and correspondence. We also support people to get out locally, to keep up the activities they enjoy and to stay close to family and friends. Communication and routine sit at the centre of the work here. Learning how a person asks for help, how they show that they are unhappy and what settles them when a day goes badly matters more than any written policy, so we take time over it and write plans in a form the person can actually use. For residents with physical disabilities we pay close attention to mobility and to the practical arrangements that let someone do more for themselves. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good, and we keep asking the people living here whether this feels like their own home.

The Phoenix provides residential care in Lincoln for adults, including younger adults, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities and people who have sight or hearing loss. We also offer planned respite stays. The people who live here are adults with their own lives to lead, and our job is to make those lives possible rather than to manage them. Everybody has their own room, their own routine and a real say in how the house runs. Our staff help with personal care, medicines, meals, money and the ordinary work of a household, and we stand back wherever somebody can manage alone. The particulars are where the work lies. How a person communicates, what makes an environment tolerable, how much notice they need before something changes, which parts of the day they would rather handle themselves, and how they want to be helped with a physical disability are all things we learn from the person. For residents with mental health needs, consistency and a lack of fuss count for a great deal, along with staff who notice early when somebody is less well. We also support people to keep up with family and friends and to get to the activities, groups, work or education that matter to them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

St Michaels is a residential care home in Lincoln, providing a permanent home for adults who need care and support with everyday life. We aim for a household where people are known properly rather than looked after efficiently. Our care is residential rather than nursing. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we bring in community health professionals when something more clinical is needed. Many of our residents live with dementia, and we rely on the quiet things that genuinely help: familiar staff who know a person's history, a routine that stays where it is, food that is recognisable and reassurance repeated as often as it is wanted. We also support younger adults, and we plan their interests and routines on their own terms rather than folding them into a pattern designed for older residents. Respite stays are available, giving family carers a real break and letting a prospective resident spend time here before any permanent decision. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather be judged on what you see on an ordinary day than on anything we write here, so please visit, speak to the people who live here and ask us the questions that matter to you.

The Manor is a care home in Gainsborough, Lincolnshire. We provide residential care for older people and younger adults, and we support people living with dementia and people managing a mental health condition. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are putting that at the top rather than at the bottom. The inspection found shortfalls, and families weighing us up deserve to know that before they read anything else we have to say. We have accepted the findings and we are working on them, and anyone considering the home should ask us precisely what has changed and expect evidence rather than reassurance. What we are trying to build here is straightforward. A home where people decide how their own day runs, where staff know the people they support properly, and where support is planned around the individual rather than around the building's convenience. For people living with dementia that means keeping routines and faces familiar. For people with long standing mental health needs it means listening to somebody who usually knows their own condition better than we do. Please visit if you are considering us. Speak to people who live here, read the inspection report in full, and make your own judgement.

The Poplars is a residential care home in Market Rasen, Lincolnshire, providing care for older people, including people living with dementia, along with shorter respite stays. We run the home at the pace of the people in it. Breakfast happens when somebody wakes rather than when a trolley comes round, and the day takes the shape a person wants. The care covers help with washing and dressing, medication, meals cooked here, support with mobility, and somebody always around when a person needs them. For those living with dementia we keep the routine steady and the faces familiar, and we arrange the house so that it is easy to understand and to move about in. Our staff tend to stay with us for a long time, and that continuity does more to settle somebody than any particular method could. Market Rasen and the country round it are home for most of the people living here, and family are welcome whenever they wish to come. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Summerfield Rest Home is a care home in Mablethorpe. We provide residential care for older people, including people living with dementia, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. We aim to be a home in the plain sense of the word. People get up when they want, spend the day as they choose, keep their own things around them and have visitors when it suits rather than when a timetable allows. Staff are here to make that workable and to notice when somebody is not quite themselves. Dementia support is a large part of what we do, and most of it is not complicated. Familiar faces, a day with a recognisable shape, and a team who understand what a person is really asking when they ask the same question for the fifth time. Being by the sea helps. Fresh air and a change of scene lift people in a way that organised activity often does not, and we get outside whenever the weather is reasonable. Respite gives family carers a real break and lets somebody try the home before deciding about a longer stay. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. St Paul's Care Home is a care home in Lincoln. We provide residential care for older people, and we support people living with dementia, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and people managing a mental health condition. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Supporting that range of people under one roof works only if nobody is treated as a category. Somebody in the later stages of dementia and somebody who has managed a mental health condition for thirty years need almost opposite things from us. So we sit down with each person, work out what their week should actually contain, and arrange staffing around that rather than the reverse. Residents decide how their own day runs, keep their own things around them and see visitors when it suits them. Where sight or hearing has failed, we say who has come into the room, describe what is happening and keep belongings where the person expects to find them. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and visit if you are considering care in Lincoln, and talk to the people living here as well as to us.

Suillean House is a care home in Sleaford, Lincolnshire. We provide residential care for adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, mostly younger adults, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. The question we ask ourselves about this place is whether the people living here have lives they would recognise as their own. Not whether the building is tidy or the records are in order, though both matter, but whether somebody has friendships, somewhere to go and genuine say over an ordinary week. If everyone's week looks the same, we have got something wrong. So people here are involved in the shopping, the cooking and the decisions about their own rooms and their own time. Some go out to work or college, some use local groups and facilities, and some prefer a quieter life with a few things they enjoy properly. Communication takes the most effort. Where somebody does not use speech, we learn how they tell us things, and we treat behaviour as information. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families and social workers are welcome to visit and ask us anything.

Oakwood Lodge is a residential care home in Boston. We provide care for older people, including those living with dementia, and we offer respite stays alongside permanent places. We keep things straightforward. People usually come to us because managing at home had become hard work, and what they want back is some ease. Meals they do not have to plan or cook. Help when washing and dressing has become a struggle. Somebody who notices when they are not themselves. Company when they want it and quiet when they do not. Residents carry on running their own lives as far as they are able, choosing their routines, arranging their rooms and deciding how much of the day to spend downstairs. We ask people to bring their own furniture and pictures, because a room that looks like yours makes settling in far easier. Dementia care here is built on consistency rather than anything elaborate. Familiar staff, a steady rhythm to the day, and knowing something about a person's earlier life. When somebody is unsettled, we look for the reason. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We would rather be upfront about that than leave you to find it elsewhere. Arranging and funding a care home place in Lincolnshire
Bringing a long list down to size
Travelling time changes how a list this long should be read, because a home twenty miles away is a very different proposition from one in the next street. Relatives who can visit without planning a day around it tend to visit far more often, and regular visitors do more for a resident's wellbeing than any brochure describes. Apply distance first and the field usually becomes something a family can genuinely study. Rating, size and specialism can then be weighed against one another across a handful of homes rather than hundreds.
Reading a rating properly
Ratings across the two hundred and eleven homes here run from Outstanding through to Inadequate, with some homes not yet rated, so the word at the top of an entry carries real information. It is still only a summary. The report behind it judges safety, effectiveness, caring, responsiveness and leadership separately, and a home may do well on one and poorly on another. Check when the inspection took place as well, since a change of owner or manager since then can make an older report a poor guide to the home today.
What the visit tells you
Go at a busy time rather than mid morning, ideally around a meal, and watch how staff talk with residents instead of how they talk to visitors. Ask how long the manager has been in post, what turnover among care staff has been like, and what the home does when someone becomes unwell overnight. Homes such as Ashtree House, Chimneys Care Home and Sandpiper Care Home each hold a full profile here with their inspection history attached.
Choosing between care homes in Lincolnshire
Requesting a care needs assessment
An assessment of need is the formal starting point and can be requested by anyone who appears to need care, whatever their savings. It examines washing, dressing, eating, mobility, medication and how safely someone manages on their own, then records in writing what care is required. Relatives are entitled to give their own account, which often conveys what a single visit cannot. A separate carer's assessment is available to whoever has been providing most of the support.
What the council contributes
A financial assessment follows and settles the question of contribution. Lincolnshire County Council is responsible for both assessments and for arranging funded placements where someone qualifies, weighing income, savings and property in the process. An assessment is worth requesting even where a family expects to pay privately, both for the advice that comes with it and because it creates a record should capital reduce in the years ahead.
Weekly fees and what falls outside them
Fees are quoted by the week and vary widely between homes, so ask each one to spell out exactly what the figure covers. Hairdressing, chiropody, outings and some therapies are frequently charged separately. Where a family chooses a home costing more than the council will fund, a third party contribution bridges the gap, and it needs to remain affordable over several years rather than only at the point of moving in.
Frequently asked questions about care homes in Lincolnshire
How many care homes are there in Lincolnshire?
Lincolnshire has 216 CQC registered care homes: 16 Outstanding, 142 Good, 41 Requires improvement, 2 Inadequate, 15 not yet rated. Counts come from the CQC register and are kept up to date as ratings change.
How much does a care home cost in Lincolnshire?
Lincolnshire County Council pays an average of £783 a week for residential care. Self-funders are typically asked £1,233 to £1,449 a week. East Midlands figure, because too few Lincolnshire homes publish this price. 34 homes. Median £1,356. Published prices are often starting prices, and come from homes that publish fees, so treat them as a guide. Ask the home for its own price.
Which care homes in Lincolnshire were inspected most recently?
Nightingale House Care Centre (24 September 2026), Blythe House (8 September 2026) and Brun Lea Care (7 September 2026) have the most recent CQC reports.
Which providers offer residential care in Lincolnshire?
216 residential care homes currently match this search in Lincolnshire, and each appears on this page with its own profile. The listing takes in independent homes, small group providers and specialist services, including names such as Ashtree House, Chimneys Care Home, Newhaven Residential Home, Swallowdale and Sandpiper Care Home. Ratings cover the full range, so comparing profiles is worth the effort rather than assuming a common standard. Filtering by area first is usually the most practical approach to a list this long.
What is the difference between a care home and a nursing home?
A residential care home provides accommodation together with personal care, meaning help with washing, dressing, meals, medication prompts and daily routine. A nursing home offers that same support and also has registered nurses on duty, so it can meet clinical needs such as complex wound care or tube feeding. A home may only admit residents whose needs match its registration, which is why the difference matters from the beginning. Every provider on this page is registered as a residential care home.
What should we ask when visiting a care home in Lincolnshire?
Ask how many care staff are on duty by day and overnight, how long the manager has been in the role and what happens when a resident becomes unwell. Ask to see a sample care plan, and find out how often plans are reviewed and how families hear about any change. Put direct questions about fees, covering what is included, what costs extra and how increases are notified. Then weigh the answers against what you observe, particularly whether residents look comfortable and occupied.
How do we arrange a care needs assessment in Lincolnshire?
Contact the adult social care team at Lincolnshire County Council and ask for an assessment of need. There is no charge and it is open to anyone who appears to require care, whatever their income or savings. A social care worker will look at daily tasks, mobility, medication and safety, usually during a visit at home, and relatives can take part and add their own observations. The written outcome then indicates which of the care homes in Lincolnshire would be able to meet those needs.
Can Lincolnshire County Council fund a care home placement?
It can, but only after both a care needs assessment and a financial assessment have been completed. The needs assessment has to confirm that residential care is the appropriate form of support, and the financial assessment then considers income, savings and property to work out the personal contribution. Where funding is agreed, the council normally pays up to a set weekly rate, so a family choosing a more expensive home may be asked for a third party contribution. Starting both assessments early keeps the choice unhurried.
How far ahead should a family start looking?
Earlier than feels necessary, since assessments, financial checks and waiting lists all take time to work through. A few months of lead time allows for repeat visits, careful reading of inspection reports and a second opinion on any home under serious consideration. Where a move follows a hospital admission the decision may need making within days, and a shortlist prepared beforehand changes that entirely. Even three or four homes noted in advance is a real advantage.
