About Us
We are Syne Hills Care Home in Skegness, Lincolnshire. We provide residential care for older people, including those living with dementia, and for adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, and we also take respite stays.
Ours is residential rather than nursing care. We support people with the daily things that have become difficult, including washing and dressing, meals, medication and moving about safely, while working with district nurses and GPs for anything beyond our registration. We tell families plainly where that boundary sits, because a placement that turns out to be the wrong fit helps nobody.
Because we support people with quite different needs, we plan around individuals rather than running one routine. For residents living with dementia that usually means finding out who somebody has been and building the day around it. For autistic residents it means predictability, a sensory environment that works, and being told what will happen and finding that it turns out to be true.
Respite guests are assessed and welcomed exactly as permanent residents are.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
