About Us

Kingsway Clayton House Residential Care Home is in Gainsborough, and we provide residential care for older people and support for adults with a learning disability and autistic adults. We aim for the feel of a home rather than an institution, with people keeping their own routines and belongings and having a real say in how the day goes.

Our approach is the same whoever we are supporting. We take the time to learn how somebody communicates, what matters to them and what a good day looks like, and we build their support around that rather than around a fixed schedule. Where a person can do more for themselves, we make room for it instead of stepping in from habit.

Respite stays are available too, for people needing care for a short period and for family carers who need a genuine rest.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We would rather put that in front of you than leave you to find it elsewhere. We have worked through the findings and our attention has gone to the things that shape daily life here rather than paperwork alone. Anyone considering us should visit, talk to the team and ask us directly what has changed and how we are making sure it holds.
