About Us
Waterloo House is a residential care home in Market Rasen, caring for older people who can no longer manage safely on their own, and supporting people managing mental health conditions and younger adults.
We aim for the feel of a household rather than an institution, with people keeping their own routines, their own belongings and a genuine say in how their day goes. We support people living with dementia, and that work depends on continuity above all. Knowing what somebody's day used to look like and keeping as much of it as we can matters more than any amount of written planning.
Respite stays are available too, for people who need care for a short period and for family carers who need a break.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We would rather say that plainly than talk around it. We have worked through the findings and our attention has gone to the things that shape daily life here rather than to paperwork alone. If you are considering Waterloo House, please come and visit, talk to the staff and ask us directly what we have changed and how we know it is working.
