About Us
Greenacres Care Home is in Market Rasen. We provide residential care for older people, including those living with dementia and those with physical disabilities, along with respite and short stays.
We are a small home in a rural place, and that shapes what we are good at. Everybody knows everybody. Staff know who is up early, who wants a late breakfast, who likes company and who would sooner be left alone with the radio. Most residents also have local roots going back a long way, and we put effort into keeping those connections alive rather than letting the home become an island.
When somebody moves in we take time over their history and preferences and we write it down so that every member of staff knows it. Dementia support rests on familiarity and pace, so we keep staffing as consistent as we can, avoid unnecessary change and work out what settles a particular resident, since that is rarely the same twice.
For residents with physical disabilities we look at equipment and at how the building is arranged so that independence is protected where it can be.
Meals are cooked here and residents have a say in the menu. Visitors are welcome through the day and can stay for a meal.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please come and see the home for yourself.
