    • Home Care

We at Kirby Care are proud to provide compassionate home care across Leicester and the wider Leicestershire area, supporting older adults and younger adults to live well and independently in the comfort of their own homes. Based in the LE postcode area, we are ideally positioned to serve families throughout Leicester and surrounding communities in the East Midlands. Delivering care within a person's own home means every visit takes place in the most familiar and reassuring environment possible, surrounded by treasured belongings, personal routines, and the neighbourhoods our clients know and love. This continuity of place is something we recognise as deeply valuable, particularly for those living with age related conditions or adjusting to new support needs. Our specialisms span older person care, home care, and support for younger adults, which means we tailor each package of care to the individual rather than applying a one size fits all approach. In practice, this looks like taking time to understand personal histories, daily preferences, dietary needs, cultural considerations, and the small rituals that make a house feel like home. For older adults, this might mean gentle assistance with personal care, medication prompts, mobility support, or simply the reassurance of a friendly, familiar face checking in. For younger adults, our support often centres on promoting independence, enabling access to the community, and building confidence in day to day living. Whatever the age or circumstance, our aim is always the same: to enhance quality of life whilst respecting dignity, choice, and autonomy. We also recognise how important our role is for families. When loved ones live at a distance or juggle busy lives alongside caring responsibilities, knowing that a trusted team is providing consistent, kind, and reliable support brings genuine peace of mind. We work closely with relatives, keeping communication open and ensuring families feel included in care planning and everyday updates. If you are considering home care for yourself or someone you love in Leicester or the surrounding areas, we would be delighted to hear from you. Choosing care is one of the most personal decisions a family can make, and we understand it can feel daunting. Please reach out for a friendly, no obligation conversation, and let us explore together how we can support your family with the compassion, respect, and reliability you deserve.

    • Home Care

At Jacaranda Care Solutions, we provide home care across Leicester and the surrounding area, supporting people to live well in their own homes for as long as they choose to. We work with older adults, younger adults, and people living with dementia, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments, tailoring the support we offer to suit each person as an individual. We know that inviting someone into your home is a significant step, and we take that trust seriously. Our approach is straightforward: we listen carefully to what each person needs, what matters to them day to day, and how they want to live their life. From there we build care arrangements that genuinely reflect those priorities rather than fitting people into a standard package. For those living with dementia, we understand how important familiarity and consistency are. We work to ensure that the people we support feel safe and understood in their own surroundings, and that families feel informed and reassured. For people managing physical disabilities or sensory impairments, we focus on promoting independence wherever possible, providing practical assistance without taking over. We support people across a wide age range, and we recognise that a younger adult has very different goals and expectations from someone in later life. We try to reflect that in the way we work with each person. Our team is based locally in Leicester, which means we understand the communities we work in. Being part of the same city matters to us. We are not a distant organisation trying to manage things from afar. We are here, available, and genuinely invested in the wellbeing of the people in our care. If you are thinking about care at home for yourself or someone close to you, we would be very happy to have a conversation about how we might help.

    • Home Care

We are Platinum Home Care, based in Nottingham, and we provide care in people's own homes across the city. We support older people, including many living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults. Most people who contact us have not yet worked out what they need, and that is entirely normal. Helping you think it through is part of our job rather than something to settle before you ring. We visit, ask how the day actually goes, find out what has become difficult and what somebody still wants to do unaided, and then say what we think would help. Sometimes that is less than a family expected, and we would rather be honest about it than sell more than is needed. Support might be a short call in the morning to get the day going, a prompt and a check with medication, a cooked meal and company while it is eaten, help getting safely about the house, support to get out into the community, or several visits a day. For autistic people, predictability matters a great deal, so changes are explained in advance and staffing is kept steady where we can. We have not yet had an overall rating published by the Care Quality Commission, which we mention plainly rather than leaving you to look it up. We welcome close questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our carers.

    • Home Care

At M'kadesh Healthcare, we provide home care support to people living in Nottingham and the surrounding areas. Our work centres on helping individuals remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes, whether they need a little extra help day to day or more consistent support over time. We work with a wide range of people, including older adults, younger adults, and those living with dementia, physical disabilities, or visual and hearing impairments. We understand that no two people are the same, and we take time to get to know each person properly before putting any support in place. What matters to the person we are supporting always shapes the way we work. Dementia care is something we take particularly seriously. We know how unsettling change can be for someone living with dementia, so we focus on building familiarity, trust, and routine. The same applies across all of our care, whether we are supporting someone managing a physical disability or a younger adult navigating life with additional needs. Being a home care agency means we come to the people we support rather than asking them to fit around us. That feels like an important distinction. Home is where people feel most themselves, and we believe good care should respect and protect that. We are based in Nottingham and are committed to being a reliable presence in this community. Our team works hard to maintain open communication with the people we support and their families, because we think transparency and honesty are the foundation of any good care relationship. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission, and we welcome any questions from prospective clients or their loved ones who want to understand more about how we work and whether we might be the right fit for them.

    • Home Care

Helping Hands Team provides care to people in their own homes in Newark and across Nottinghamshire. We support older people, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and younger adults. Most enquiries reach us at a difficult moment. Somebody has had a fall, or a family has realised that the arrangement they have been holding together is no longer working. So the first thing we try to do is take the pressure down and work out what is actually needed, which is often less than people fear and sometimes more than they had admitted. From there we build the visits around the person rather than around our rota. That means asking what time they genuinely want to get up, which tasks they want to keep doing themselves, what makes a morning go badly and who should be rung when something changes. We keep the same carers going to the same households wherever we can, because a familiar face does work that no amount of training substitutes for, and that matters most of all for people living with dementia. Our staff are trained for the conditions they will meet and senior colleagues are contactable during visits. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.

    • Home Care

We at Moorfield Court are proud to offer dedicated home care across Southwell and the surrounding Nottinghamshire communities, supporting individuals to live well and safely in the place they know best: their own home. Our personalised approach to home care means that every visit, every conversation, and every routine is shaped around the person receiving support, not the other way around. Based in the historic market town of Southwell, we are well placed to reach families throughout the wider NG postcode area and the East Midlands region. Our local knowledge means we understand the rhythms of the community we serve, from quiet village lanes to busier neighbourhoods, and we tailor our visits to fit seamlessly into the lives of those who depend on us. Our team supports a broad range of needs, which means families do not have to search elsewhere as circumstances change over time. We provide care for older people who simply want a little extra help to maintain their independence, as well as more comprehensive support for those living with dementia, where consistency, patience, and gentle familiarity make all the difference. We also support adults with learning disabilities and autism, focusing on routines and communication styles that feel safe and empowering for each individual. For those navigating mental health challenges, our care is grounded in dignity and respect, offering steady, non judgemental companionship alongside practical day to day assistance. We extend the same thoughtful approach to adults living with physical disabilities, helping with mobility, personal care, and the small but meaningful tasks that allow people to remain active participants in their own lives. Our experience supporting people with visual and hearing impairments means we adapt how we communicate, ensuring no one feels overlooked or rushed. We also welcome younger adults who require care tailored to their stage of life, and we offer compassionate, recovery focused support for individuals affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Across every specialism, our guiding principle is the same: the person comes first, and the care fits around them. In practice, this means families can expect carers who take the time to learn preferences, hobbies, dietary likes and dislikes, and the little touches that make a house feel like home. Whether it is a morning visit to help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hot meal prepared together, or simply a friendly face during the day, our aim is to bring reassurance into every appointment. For relatives living further afield, this consistency offers genuine peace of mind, knowing that a trusted carer is checking in regularly. As a newer presence on the CareCompass directory, Moorfield Court is currently listed as Not Yet Rated by the Care Quality Commission. This simply reflects where we are in our regulatory journey rather than the standard of care we deliver each day. We remain fully committed to the values that underpin a strong CQC inspection: safety, effectiveness, compassion, responsiveness, and good leadership. Families are warmly encouraged to speak with us directly, ask questions, and learn more about how we work before making any decisions. Choosing home care is a deeply personal decision, and we understand the weight it can carry for families who want the very best for someone they love. If you are exploring options in Southwell or the wider Nottinghamshire area, we invite you to get in touch with us at Moorfield Court. We would be delighted to listen, answer your questions, and help you take the next step with confidence and care.

Dovevalley Care supports people in their own homes across Derby and the surrounding parts of Derbyshire. Our visits are arranged around the person rather than a fixed pattern, covering help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, laundry and shopping, and support to get out to appointments or simply out of the house. We support older people and those living with dementia, where familiar carers and a steady routine do more good than anything else we could offer. We work with adults living with mental health needs, paying attention to early signs that things are changing rather than waiting for a crisis. We support people living with a physical disability, where equipment, layout and practical detail usually decide how much of a day someone can direct themselves, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, where we are careful about how we announce ourselves and how we communicate. Younger adults are part of our work too. We cover both city and countryside, so travelling time goes into the rota rather than coming out of anyone's visit, and we treat conversation as part of a visit rather than an extra. Every package begins with a proper assessment and an honest conversation about what we can provide. If you are considering care at home in this area, please get in touch and we will come out and see you.

    • Home Care

We provide support at home in and around Nottingham, working with younger adults, people living with mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. Our work is about making it possible for people to live in their own homes and run their own lives as far as they are able to. For somebody whose mobility is affected, that can mean careful help with moving about safely, personal care, meals and the practical business of keeping a household going. For a younger adult it is often as much about getting out: to work, to college, to see people, to do whatever they want to do with their week. Where somebody's mental health is unsettled, what helps most is usually a worker who is steady, turns up when they said they would and knows the person well enough to notice when things are slipping. What we try hardest to avoid is taking over. Support should leave as much as possible in the hands of the person receiving it, which means asking rather than assuming and agreeing what we do rather than arriving with a plan already written. We keep staffing as consistent as we can, because trust is slow to build and quickly undone. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly. If you are looking for support of this kind, please get in touch.

We at Mencap Portland are proud to provide person centred home care across Nottingham, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism to live with confidence, dignity and independence in the places they call home. Based in the heart of Nottingham and serving the wider NG community, our team works directly within the familiar surroundings of each person we support. Whether that is a private flat, a shared household or a family home, we believe that good care should fit seamlessly into the rhythm of everyday life. By bringing our support into the home environment, we help the people we work with stay rooted in their neighbourhoods, close to the friends, family and community connections that matter most to them. Our specialism lies in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, and this focus shapes everything we do. We understand that no two people experience the world in quite the same way, and our approach is built on listening carefully, learning individual preferences and tailoring support to match each person's goals, communication style and routines. In practice, this might mean assisting with daily living tasks, supporting access to work, education or leisure activities, helping someone build life skills, or simply being a steady and reassuring presence during moments of change. For families, it means knowing that your loved one is supported by a team who genuinely understands neurodiversity and who champions their right to make choices about their own life. The Care Quality Commission has rated us Outstanding overall, a recognition that reflects the dedication our team brings to every visit and every relationship. Within that inspection, we were rated Outstanding for being Caring and Outstanding for being Well led, alongside Good ratings for Safe, Effective and Responsive care. For families considering support, these ratings offer reassurance that our compassion is matched by strong leadership and that the warmth of our team is underpinned by a culture committed to doing things properly. Choosing care for someone you love is a significant decision, and we understand the questions and emotions that come with it. If you would like to learn more about how we can support your family member in Nottingham, we warmly invite you to get in touch. • Home Care

We are Maximus Healthcare, a home care agency working across Leicester and the surrounding neighbourhoods. Our work is simple to describe and harder to do well: we visit people in their own homes so that they can carry on living there, in the place they have chosen, with the help they need arriving when they need it. Most of the people we visit are older adults who want support with personal care, medication, meals and keeping the house in order. We also support younger adults, people living with physical disabilities, and people managing mental health conditions. We take on dementia care as well, where a familiar home and a familiar routine often do more good than any change of setting could. Continuity is the part we guard most closely. Being washed and dressed is an intimate thing, and it goes far better when the person at the door is someone you recognise and have come to trust. We work hard to send the same small team to the same people, and we keep visits long enough that nobody feels hurried out of their own front room. Care plans are written with the person and, where they want it, with their family. We revisit them when circumstances change rather than leaving them to gather dust on a shelf. If you are weighing up support at home for yourself or for someone close to you, we are happy to talk it through with no obligation on your part.

Based in the LN postcode area of Lincoln, our team is well placed to reach those living throughout the city and its neighbouring villages. We at Radfield Home Care Stamford, Peterborough & Rutland are proud to provide compassionate home care across Stamford and the surrounding communities, supporting older people and adults to live well in the place they know best: their own home. Operating throughout Stamford, Peterborough, Rutland and the wider PE postcode area, our team travels to those who need us, bringing warmth, reliability and professional support directly to your doorstep. Rather than asking loved ones to adjust to a new environment, we work within the familiar surroundings of home, where memories live, routines feel natural and independence can be nurtured. Whether that means visiting a country cottage in a Rutland village or supporting someone in the heart of Stamford, we tailor our presence to fit each household. Our care is broad in scope and deeply personal in delivery. We specialise in older person care and dementia care, offering steady, understanding support for those navigating memory loss and the changes it brings for both the individual and their family. We also assist adults living with mental health needs, physical disabilities and visual or hearing impairments, as well as younger adults who benefit from thoughtful, respectful support at home. In practice, this means our carers take time to understand each person: their history, their preferences, the small rituals that make a day feel right. From help with personal care, medication and mobility through to companionship, meal preparation and support with hobbies, we adapt as needs change, giving families the reassurance that their loved one is truly known and cared for. The Care Quality Commission has rated us Outstanding overall, with Outstanding marks in both the Caring and Responsive domains and Good ratings for Safe, Effective and Well led at our most recent inspection in September 2021. For families, this recognition speaks to something we hold dear: that our team not only meets the standards expected of professional home care but goes further, responding to individual needs with genuine kindness and thoughtful action. Choosing care for someone you love is rarely simple, and we understand the weight of that decision. If you would like to talk through how we might support your family, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We are here to listen, to answer your questions and to help you find a way forward that feels right.

    • Home Care

At Melton Care, we provide home care support to people living in Wigston and the surrounding areas of Leicestershire. We believe that people should be able to live well in their own homes, with the right support around them, and that is exactly what we set out to offer every day. We work with a wide range of individuals, including people living with dementia, those with learning disabilities or autism, people experiencing mental health difficulties, and individuals living with physical disabilities or visual and hearing impairments. We take time to understand each person as an individual, building support around their routines, preferences and goals rather than fitting them into a one size fits all approach. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission resulted in an overall rating of Good, which we are proud of. It reflects the effort our team puts in consistently and the relationships we build with the people we support and their families. Home care means something different to everyone. For some people it is a little help with daily tasks so they can stay independent. For others it is more complex, ongoing support that requires skill, patience and genuine understanding. Whatever the level of need, we approach every visit with the same care and attentiveness. We know that inviting someone into your home is a big step, and we do not take that trust lightly. Families tell us that communication matters enormously to them, so we make sure people are kept informed and that any concerns are addressed promptly and honestly. If you are looking for support for yourself or someone you care about in the Wigston area, we would be glad to have a conversation about how we might be able to help. There is no obligation, just a straightforward chat to see whether we are the right fit.

    • Home Care

We at Gabby Spencer Healthcare are proud to offer compassionate home care across Northampton and the wider West Northamptonshire community, supporting individuals to live safely and comfortably in the place they know best: their own home. Operating throughout the NN postcode area, our team travels to residents across Northampton and its surrounding neighbourhoods, bringing personalised support directly to each doorstep. By delivering care within familiar surroundings, we help those we support maintain their daily routines, cherished memories, and connections to family, friends, and the local community they love. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the people we care for. We provide dedicated older person care, working alongside families to ensure their loved ones enjoy dignity, companionship, and practical assistance with everyday living. For those living with dementia, we take a patient and understanding approach, offering consistent routines and gentle encouragement that help reduce anxiety and promote wellbeing. We also support adults with physical disabilities, tailoring our care to promote independence, mobility, and confidence, whilst our provision for younger adults recognises that meaningful care is not defined by age but by individual circumstance and aspiration. In practice, this means that families can trust us to be there for tasks large and small, from personal care and medication support to companionship, meal preparation, and assistance around the home. We take time to understand each person's story, preferences, and goals, building care plans that evolve as needs change. For relatives who may live at a distance or juggle busy lives, our involvement offers peace of mind that a professional, caring presence is close at hand. As a newer entry to the Care Quality Commission register, Gabby Spencer Healthcare currently holds a status of "Not Yet Rated." This simply means we are at the beginning of our regulatory journey and have not yet been formally inspected. We welcome the CQC's rigorous framework and are committed to meeting and exceeding its standards from day one, with transparency, safety, and person centred care at the heart of everything we do. Choosing home care is a deeply personal decision, and we understand the weight that comes with it. If you are exploring options for yourself or someone you love in Northampton, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We would be honoured to listen, answer your questions, and explore together how we might support your family with the kindness and professionalism you deserve.

    • Home Care

Eunha Healthcare is a home care agency working across Leicester. We visit people in their own homes so that they can stay where they are comfortable, surrounded by their own things and their own routine, with support arriving at the times that suit them rather than the other way round. The people we support are varied. We care for older people, including many living with dementia, and we also support adults with a learning disability or autism, adults living with a mental health condition, people with physical disabilities, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Younger adults make up a good part of our work as well. That range means we spend time matching the right worker to the right person, because continuity is what makes home care work. Turning up as a stranger every week helps nobody. Visits can be short calls for help with washing, dressing, medicines or a meal, or longer periods of support through the day. We write the plan with the person, not for them, and we change it when their needs change. Where family are involved in care, we work alongside them instead of taking over. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. In the meantime we would encourage anyone considering us to ask us direct questions about how we train our staff, how we handle medicines and what happens when a visit runs late. Please contact us if you would like to talk through what support might look like.

We are Hope for Future Care, based in Northampton, and we provide care in people's own homes across the area. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, younger adults, and people dealing with problems with alcohol or drugs. Across that range, the thing we offer most consistently is steadiness. Turning up when we said we would. Noticing when something has shifted. Not treating a difficult week as a crisis, and not judging anybody for it. For people in recovery and for people living with mental ill health, that reliability often matters more than any particular task we carry out. Support is agreed with the person before it starts. We ask how the day runs now, what has become difficult, what somebody still wants to manage alone, and where help would genuinely help. In practice that might mean personal care, a prompt and a check with medication, meals cooked and eaten with company, help getting safely about the house, assistance with shopping and appointments, or support to get out into the community. For people living with dementia, familiarity does more good than anything else we could offer, so we work hard to send the same carers to the same homes. We have not yet had an overall rating published by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather say so ourselves, and we welcome close questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our carers. Prime Care at Home provides care and support to people in their own homes across Derby. We visit older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. We are not going to talk around it. We have accepted the findings, we are working through an improvement plan, and we have made changes to how we recruit, train and supervise our carers and to how we check that visits happen properly and on time. The daily work continues while we do that. Our carers help people with getting up and settling at night, washing and dressing, medication, meals, housework and shopping, and they provide dependable cover for family carers who need to work or rest. Anyone considering us should ask about the rating, ask what has changed and ask to speak to the manager. Those are fair questions and we would rather answer them directly. We will be straight with you about what we can and cannot do, and we will tell you quickly if something has gone wrong.

    • Home Care

We at Victory Care are proud to provide compassionate home care across Leicester and the surrounding communities, supporting individuals to live well and independently in the place they know best: their own home. As a dedicated home care agency in the East Midlands, we understand that choosing support for a loved one is a deeply personal decision, and we are here to make that journey feel a little easier. Operating throughout the LE postcode area, our team brings care directly to the doorsteps of those we support across Leicester. Whether visiting a family home in a quiet residential street or a flat closer to the city centre, we tailor our approach to suit the rhythm and routine of each person's daily life. There is no need for our clients to leave familiar surroundings, treasured belongings, or beloved neighbours behind, because we come to them. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the people and families we work alongside. We provide thoughtful older person care, supporting those who simply need a helping hand with daily tasks, companionship, or more comprehensive personal care. Our experience in dementia care means we approach each visit with patience, consistency, and a genuine understanding of how unsettling memory difficulties can feel, both for the individual and for those who love them. For adults living with a learning disability or autism, we focus on building trust at a comfortable pace, championing independence and respecting each person's preferences and communication style. We also support adults experiencing mental health challenges, offering steady, non judgemental care that prioritises dignity and emotional wellbeing. For those living with a physical disability or with visual or hearing impairment, our team is attentive to practical needs whilst ensuring that every interaction feels respectful and empowering. We extend our care to younger adults too, recognising that meaningful support should never be limited by age and that every individual deserves a programme of care shaped around their personal goals, aspirations, and lifestyle. In practice, this means families can expect a consistent, friendly face arriving to help with morning routines, medication reminders, mobility support, meal preparation, or simply a warm conversation over a cup of tea. We work in partnership with relatives, healthcare professionals, and the wider community to ensure that care plans evolve as needs change, and we communicate openly so that loved ones always feel informed and reassured. The Care Quality Commission has rated Victory Care as Good overall, with Good ratings across the Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led domains. This independent recognition reflects our ongoing commitment to delivering kind, person centred care led by a team that listens. The Safe domain was rated as Requires Improvement at our last inspection in September 2019, and we take that feedback seriously as part of our continual journey to strengthen every aspect of what we do for the people who rely on us. If you are exploring home care options in Leicester for yourself or someone you love, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We would be delighted to listen to your story, answer your questions, and help you understand how our support could bring comfort, confidence, and continuity to daily life at home.

    • Home Care

CSM Group Care supports people in their own homes in Corby and the surrounding part of Northamptonshire, working with older people, adults living with dementia and younger adults who need help to live independently. Almost everyone who contacts us wants the same thing, which is for a relative to carry on living in their own home safely. So we build our visits around the person rather than the rota. That might be a call first thing to help with washing, dressing and breakfast, support with medication through the day, help with meals, shopping and laundry, or a longer visit that lets a family carer rest or get out for a few hours. Where someone is living with dementia we try hard to send the same familiar carers, because a recognised voice at the door does more good than almost anything else we can offer. We agree the plan with the person and their family before we start, we review it as needs change, and we tell relatives promptly if we notice something is not right, whether that is a fall, a lost appetite or a mood that has shifted. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. Until it does, we are glad to be judged on how we answer your questions, on the care plan we put in writing and on what the families we already work with have to say. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about what support might look like.

    • Home Care

TTT Testimonies provides care at home in Retford and the surrounding parts of Nottinghamshire. We support older adults and younger adults, people living with dementia, and people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment. Working across a market town and the villages around it means our rounds cover some distance, and we plan them with that in mind. Realistic travelling time between calls is not an administrative detail. A schedule that only holds together if nothing goes wrong leads to rushed visits, and rushed visits are where things get missed. The help itself is the ordinary substance of home care: getting washed and dressed, support with medication, meals, keeping the house manageable, getting out of the door, and company. For somebody with a sensory impairment we attend to the practical detail that makes communication work properly, such as good light, sitting where your face can be seen, and taking the time to be understood rather than hurrying on. For people living with dementia, familiarity does most of the work. The same faces, a steady routine, and enough time given for someone to respond in their own way. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. If you are thinking about care at home in this area, give us a call and we will give you a straight answer about what would help.

Eliezer Supported Living provides support in people's own homes in Nottingham and the surrounding area. We work with older people, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Most of our work is about enabling rather than doing. The people we support have their own homes, their own routines and their own plans, and our part is to help make those workable rather than to take charge of them. In practice that might mean support with cooking, shopping and managing money, help getting to work, college or appointments, company on public transport, or someone reliable to think a problem through with. With autistic people in particular we pay close attention to routine, to giving proper warning before anything changes, and to the sensory side of somebody's environment, because those details often decide whether a day works. Where somebody has a physical disability we learn how their equipment is used and how they prefer to be helped to move, and we follow their way of doing it. Where we support people with mental health needs, we aim to be the dependable part of the week. We keep the team around each person small and settled, because this kind of support depends on a relationship. If you are looking into support at home in Nottingham, please get in touch and we will be honest about whether we can help.

Harlestone Home Care supports people in their own homes in and around Northampton. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people with mental health needs, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment, younger adults, people with eating disorders and people affected by alcohol or drug misuse. That is a wide range, and we do not pretend a single approach covers all of it. What stays constant is how we start: a proper conversation with the person, and with whoever they want involved, about what would genuinely help. We would rather spend real time on that than arrive with a plan already written. For older people and people living with dementia, much of the work is practical and daily, and consistency matters most. Familiar workers, familiar timings, and enough handover between them that nobody has to keep explaining themselves. For younger adults, autistic people and adults with learning disabilities, the emphasis shifts to building confidence and independence rather than taking things over. Where we support people with mental health needs, eating disorders, or the effects of alcohol or drug misuse, we work closely with the clinical teams involved and are clear about what is ours to do and what is not. DarSarno Care provides support at home in Daventry and across Northamptonshire. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Every arrangement starts with a proper conversation about what somebody actually wants help with, what they can manage perfectly well on their own and how they want things done in their own home. We would far rather spend real time on that than arrive with a plan already written. For older people and people living with dementia, much of the work is practical and daily, and what matters most is consistency. Familiar workers, familiar timings, and enough handover between them that nobody has to keep explaining themselves. We also take time to learn about a person's life, because it helps us make sense of what we see and respond well to it. Where we support autistic adults, people with learning disabilities and younger adults, the emphasis shifts from doing to enabling: support with cooking, money, travel, appointments, work or college, and keeping up friendships and family relationships. We plan around those things rather than around our rota. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking into support at home in this part of Northamptonshire, please get in touch. We are happy to come out and talk it through with no obligation.

    • Home Care

William T Healthcare provides care and support at home across Leicester. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with mental health needs and younger adults. Home is where most people would rather be, and with sensible support in place a great many can stay there. Our job is to make that practical. Support might be a single morning call to help somebody wash, dress and start the day safely, or several visits covering personal care, medication, meals, mobility, shopping and a check in the evening to settle someone comfortably. Before anything begins we take proper time to work out what would genuinely help, what a person would rather keep doing for themselves and how they like things done in their own house. Then we build a small, settled team around them, so the person at the door is somebody they recognise. For people living with dementia that familiarity matters more than anything else we could offer, and it is the first thing lost when a rota is run for the provider's convenience. We protect it, and we take time to learn about a person's life because it helps us understand what we are seeing. Where we support people with mental health needs, we work in step with the community teams involved and aim to be the steady part of somebody's week. If you are considering care at home in Leicester, please get in touch and we will talk it over plainly.

Global Care Group provides care and support at home in Leicester and across Leicestershire. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Most people would rather stay in their own home, among their own things and their own neighbours, and with the right support a great many can. Our job is to make that practical rather than theoretical. Support might be a single morning call to help somebody wash, dress and start the day safely, or several visits covering personal care, medication, meals, mobility, shopping and a check before bed. Consistency is what we work hardest at. Care at home falls apart when the face at the door keeps changing, so we build small teams around each person and protect them. For people living with dementia that familiarity matters more than anything else we could offer, and we also take time to learn about a person's life because it helps us make sense of what we see. Where somebody has a physical disability we learn how their equipment is used and how they prefer to be helped to move, and we follow their way. Where there is a sight or hearing impairment we adapt how we communicate and leave the home exactly as the person expects to find it. If you are considering care at home in Leicestershire, please get in touch and we will talk it over honestly.

We work with people living with dementia, autistic adults and adults with a learning disability, people managing mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment, younger adults and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. Supporting someone at home is a different discipline from running a care setting, and supporting a younger adult towards independence is different again from supporting someone who simply wants to stay put. We plan for those differences rather than pretending one approach covers everything. Our starting point is always what the person wants their week to look like and what currently gets in the way of it. For some that means practical help with cooking, budgeting, appointments and travel. For others it means having someone reliable present at the times of day that are consistently hard. We keep the same small team going to the same person wherever we can. Waterlees Supported Living supports adults in Wigston and the surrounding part of Leicestershire to live in their own homes. We work with younger adults, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people who have sight or hearing loss. Supported living rests on a simple idea. This is the person's home and the person's life, and our job is to provide the support that makes it workable while leaving as much as possible in their hands. In practice that means help with personal care and medicines where it is needed, and a good deal of time spent on the skills and routines that independent living asks for: cooking, shopping, budgeting, keeping on top of appointments and letters, using transport, and dealing with the things that go wrong in any household. It also means support to have a life. Seeing family and friends, getting to work, college, groups or activities, and making the ordinary decisions that other adults take for granted. Where somebody communicates in their own way, we learn it. Where somebody needs the day to be predictable, we keep it that way and prepare properly for changes. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We ask the people we support what they think of us, and we would rather hear an inconvenient answer than a polite one.

    • Home Care

Health Care Response provides support in people's own homes across Northampton and the surrounding parts of West Northamptonshire. We work with people living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic people and people with physical disabilities. Home care is a practical craft rather than a philosophy, and we treat it as one. It is knowing the household as well as the person: which door sticks, where the medication lives, whether she wants the radio on, whether he needs you in front of him to follow what you are saying. Care planned in an office and delivered to a script misses all of that, and missing it is what makes a visit feel impersonal even when every task is completed. So we begin at home, with a conversation, and write the plan from what we learn. We keep the same small team with each person, because familiarity does more for somebody with dementia, a learning disability or a sensory difficulty than any technique we could name. Anyone new is introduced alongside a colleague the person already knows. Where somebody finds noise, crowds or unpredictability difficult, we adapt what we do and prepare properly for changes rather than springing them on people. The Care Quality Commission has not yet issued us an overall rating. Until then, we are happy to be judged on the detail we go into. If you are arranging care at home in Northampton, please get in touch and we will come out and talk it through.

We are Ultimate Group in the East Midlands, based in Nottingham, and we provide care in people's own homes across the city and the surrounding area. The people we visit are a wide group: older people, many living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults, and people living with an eating disorder. That range means a standard package would be little use, so we do not offer one. Every arrangement starts with a conversation in the person's own home about how the day actually runs, what has become difficult, what somebody still wants to manage alone, and what would make the biggest difference. From there we set the visits and revise them as things change. Support might be help with washing and dressing, a prompt and a check with medication, a meal cooked and eaten with company, help getting safely about the house, support to get out into the community, or several calls a day. For autistic people and for people living with an eating disorder in particular, predictability, patience and a complete absence of judgement matter more than anything else we could offer. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to talk through what support might look like for you or somebody you care for.

We at Hodman Care are proud to provide compassionate home care across Leicester, supporting individuals to live well and safely in the comfort of their own homes. As a dedicated home care agency serving the Leicester community and the wider East Midlands, we believe that thoughtful, person centred support can make all the difference to daily life. Operating throughout the LE postcode area, our team brings care directly to the people who need it most, wherever they call home. Whether that is a long established family house, a quiet flat, or sheltered accommodation, we tailor our visits to fit comfortably around each person's routine, preferences, and surroundings. By coming to you, we help preserve the familiar rhythms of home life, the favourite armchair, the morning cup of tea, the neighbours next door, whilst providing the practical and personal support that makes independent living possible. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the communities we serve. We offer older person care for those who simply need a little extra help to maintain their independence, alongside specialist dementia care delivered with patience, understanding, and a calm, consistent approach. For individuals living with mental health needs, we provide sensitive, respectful support that recognises each person as an individual first. We also care for younger adults and those living with physical disabilities, helping with mobility, daily routines, and the activities that matter most to them. In practice, this means families can trust that their loved one is being supported by people who understand the particular challenges they face, whether that involves gentle prompts and reassurance for someone with memory difficulties, or practical assistance with personal care, medication, meals, and companionship. We understand that inviting a care team into your home is a significant decision, and one that families do not take lightly. That is why we focus on building genuine relationships, listening carefully, and adapting our approach as needs change over time. In our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection, Hodman Care received an overall rating of Requires Improvement. We are open and honest about this. The CQC recognised the strengths of our team in two important areas, rating us Good for being Caring and Good for being Responsive. This reflects what we hold dearest: that the people we support feel genuinely cared for, listened to, and that we respond to their needs in a meaningful way. At the same time, the inspection identified that we needed to strengthen our practice in being Safe, Effective, and Well led. We take that feedback seriously, and we are committed to continuous improvement so that every aspect of our care matches the warmth and responsiveness our team is known for. If you are exploring home care options in Leicester for yourself or someone you love, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We would be delighted to talk through your situation, answer your questions honestly, and explore how we might help bring comfort, dignity, and reassurance into daily life at home.

We work with older people, adults living with dementia, those managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people living with a visual or hearing impairment. We also support younger adults who need help at home. Every arrangement begins with a proper conversation about how someone likes their day to run, what they still want to do for themselves and where support would genuinely help. That becomes a written plan in plain language which our carers follow and which we revisit as circumstances change. Visits can cover personal care, medication, meals, household tasks, shopping, appointments and company. We have to be straightforward about our most recent inspection. The Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We did not dispute the findings. We accepted them, put an improvement plan in place and are working through it, with closer oversight of the areas the inspectors raised. We would far rather tell you this ourselves and let you judge the progress for yourself. What we care about has not changed. We keep the team around each person small so people are not meeting a stranger each week, we train carers for the needs they will actually meet, and families can always reach someone. Based in the heart of Derby and serving the surrounding communities within the DE postcode area, our agency is thoughtfully positioned to reach individuals and families throughout the city and wider East Midlands. Our team specialises in supporting adults with a broad range of needs, including those living with learning disabilities and autism, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments. In practice, this means we take real time to understand each person as an individual. For those with physical disabilities, our care can encompass assistance with mobility, personal care, and everyday tasks in a way that preserves dignity and choice. Where sensory impairments are part of a person's world, we adapt our communication, our pace, and our environment to make sure every interaction feels comfortable and clear. For families, this specialist approach offers genuine peace of mind. You can feel confident that the people supporting your loved one understand the nuances of their needs, respect their preferences, and are committed to helping them live the fullest life possible at home. We work closely with families as partners in care, keeping communication open and welcoming your insights, because no one knows your relative better than you do. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our Care Quality Commission rating of Good across every domain assessed, including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. This consistent standard, achieved at our most recent inspection, is a meaningful reassurance for families weighing up their options. It tells you that our practices, our leadership, our responsiveness to changing needs, and above all the warmth of our caring approach have been independently reviewed and endorsed. Choosing home care is a deeply personal decision, and we understand the weight of that choice. If you are exploring support for yourself or someone you love in Derby, we warmly invite you to get in touch. • Home Care

We are Adults Supporting Adults, based in Sleaford and working across Lincolnshire. Through Shared Lives and support in people's own homes, we help adults live well in ordinary family and community settings rather than in institutional ones. Shared Lives works differently from most care. Approved carers share their own home and family life with someone who needs support, either long term, for short breaks or through daytime arrangements. It suits many people far better than a placement in a larger setting, and the matching process is where most of the work goes. We take time over it, because a good match depends on shared interests, temperament and household rhythm as much as on the support somebody needs. We support older people, younger adults, people living with dementia or mental health conditions, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people with physical disabilities, people affected by sight or hearing loss and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug misuse. Our carers are trained, supported and visited regularly, and we stay closely involved rather than arranging a match and stepping away. We work alongside families, social workers and health teams, and we are honest when we think an arrangement is not right. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. If you are considering support for yourself or someone close to you, or thinking of becoming a carer, please get in touch.

Santo Healthcare provides care in people's own homes in Leicester and across Leicestershire. We support older people, younger adults and people living with dementia, with the aim of making home a safe and comfortable place to stay for as long as somebody wishes it. Most people who contact us are at a point of change. Perhaps there has been a fall or a hospital stay, or perhaps things have been getting gradually harder and it is time to accept some help. We start by listening properly: how the day runs at the moment, what has become difficult, what can still be managed alone, and what would make the biggest difference. Everything we propose follows from those answers. Visits may cover getting up, washing and dressing, support with medication, preparing meals and encouraging somebody to eat and drink well, help to move about the house safely, laundry and shopping, or getting out to appointments and to see people. For those living with dementia, we keep the carers and the timings consistent, because a familiar face at a familiar hour prevents more confusion than anything else we can do. We put the agreed plan in writing so everybody knows where they stand, and we review it as circumstances change. Our carers are trained for the needs they will meet and are properly supervised, and families can reach somebody who knows the situation when they need to. At Knighton Manor, we provide home care across Leicester, supporting people to live comfortably and with confidence in their own homes. We work with older adults, younger adults, and people living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions, and physical disabilities. Our focus is always on the individual, because no two people have the same needs or the same idea of what a good day looks like. We understand that inviting a care agency into your home, or the home of someone you love, is a significant decision. We take that trust seriously. Our team takes time to get to know each person properly, their routines, their preferences, and what matters most to them, so that the support we offer genuinely fits around their life rather than the other way around. For those living with dementia or a learning disability, we know how important consistency and familiarity are. We try hard to ensure people see familiar faces and that our approach remains calm, patient, and respectful at all times. The same goes for anyone managing a mental health condition or a physical disability. We are here to provide practical support, but also to be a reliable, steady presence that people can count on. We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the effort our team puts in every single day. It is something we do not take for granted, and we continue to look at how we can improve and learn. If you are thinking about home care for yourself or a family member in the Leicester area, we would be glad to have a conversation with you. There is no pressure, just an honest chat about what you need and how we might be able to help.

Continuity Health Care supports people in and around Hinckley in their own homes. The name reflects what we think matters most in home care, which is that the same people turn up, know you and notice when something has changed. We support older people who need help with the everyday tasks that have become harder, washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and getting out of the house safely. We support people living with dementia, where familiarity and an unhurried manner achieve far more than a detailed plan handed to somebody new. We also work with adults managing mental health conditions, where reliability and being genuinely listened to count for a great deal, people living with a physical disability, where good support is largely about making daily life workable again, and younger adults, whose priorities are often about getting on with ordinary life rather than being kept safe indoors. We plan our rounds around familiar faces rather than filling gaps with whoever happens to be free. It takes more effort to arrange, but it is the difference between being cared for by somebody who knows you and being visited by a stranger with a list. If you are considering care at home in this area, ring us and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot offer.

We work with adults who have a range of needs, including learning disabilities, autism, mental health conditions and physical disabilities, and we also support younger adults who need a helping hand to live as independently as possible. We believe that care at home, done well, makes an enormous difference to someone's quality of life. Our role is to support people in their own surroundings, on their own terms, so that they can carry on doing the things that matter to them. That might mean helping with daily routines, getting out into the community, managing appointments or simply having someone reliable to talk to. Every person we support has different priorities, and we take the time to understand what those are before we do anything else. Our team is made up of people who genuinely know the individuals they support. We are not a revolving door of unfamiliar faces. Consistency matters enormously in home care, and we put real thought into matching people with support workers who are well suited to them and who will stay with them over time. We are pleased that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as good across the board. We are proud of that rating, though we are equally aware that maintaining it requires ongoing attention and honest reflection. We welcome feedback from the people we support and their families, because it helps us keep improving. If you are looking for home care support in the Chesterfield area, for yourself or someone you care about, we would be glad to have a conversation about how we might be able to help. You can get in touch with us directly and we will take it from there.

    • Home Care

Weldon Homecare provides care at home in Newark and the surrounding parts of Nottinghamshire. We support older adults and younger adults, people living with dementia, and people with a physical disability. Most people who contact us are not looking to give up their independence. They have a particular difficulty and want it solved so that the rest of life can carry on much as it was. Sometimes that means personal care first thing in the morning. Sometimes it is medication taken correctly and on time, a meal prepared, the shopping brought in, or help to get out of the house. Sometimes what matters most is somebody reliable who keeps a quiet eye on how things are going. We think home care is judged on unremarkable things. Whether the visit happened when it was promised. Whether the person at the door is somebody you recognise. Whether they remember how you like things done without being told again. Whether what gets written down afterwards is accurate. For people living with dementia those same things count for even more, because a familiar face and a routine that keeps its shape hold a day together in a way nothing else manages. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is Good. If you are starting to look at support at home, ring us and we will talk it through with no obligation either way.

We are Bluebird Care in Newark and Sherwood, and we provide care in people's own homes across the area. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. We think good home care comes down to two things, neither of them complicated. The first is sending carers who are properly trained and then keeping them with the same households, so that the person being visited is known rather than processed. The second is doing what we said we would do, when we said we would do it, and telling families promptly when something has to change. Every arrangement starts with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to do for yourself, and where would help genuinely help? From there we agree the visits, from a short morning call to several a day, or longer visits so that a relative caring full time can get out properly. We revise the plan as needs move. For people living with dementia, familiarity does more good than any technique, so continuity of staff is what we work at hardest rather than treating it as a bonus. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to talk it through, even if you are only beginning to look into care.

We provide home care to people living in Leicester and across Leicestershire. Our carers visit people in their own homes, and everything we do starts from the assumption that the person receiving care is the one who decides how it should work. Our support covers help with washing, dressing and continence, prompting or giving medication, preparing meals, light household tasks, shopping and getting out to appointments. Some people want a single short call each day. Others need several visits, and some want longer periods of company and support. We work with older people and with younger adults. We support people living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Each of those groups asks for something a little different, and we would rather adjust our approach than expect people to fit around ours. Care plans are agreed with the person and reviewed as needs change. Where something concerns us on a visit, we pass it on promptly to the family or the relevant health professional rather than waiting for the next review. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking at home care in Leicestershire, we would be pleased to talk about what might work for you.

Here at Valley Care Direct, we provide home care across Hope Valley and the surrounding areas of Derbyshire, supporting people to live well in the comfort of their own homes. Our team works with older adults, younger adults, and people with a range of needs, bringing consistent, thoughtful care directly to the people who need it most. We know that inviting someone into your home is a significant decision, and we do not take that trust lightly. From the very first conversation, we take time to understand what matters to each person, what their routine looks like, what they enjoy, and how they want to be supported. Care that fits around someone's life tends to work far better than care that asks people to fit around it. Our CQC rating of Good reflects the standard we hold ourselves to day to day. It tells us we are on the right track, though we are always looking at how we can do better for the people we support and their families. Whether someone needs a short visit each morning, support with personal care, help staying connected to their community, or more regular assistance throughout the day, we aim to match each person with carers who genuinely suit them. Continuity matters enormously in home care, and we work hard to make sure people see familiar, reliable faces. We are proud to be rooted in Hope Valley. It is a community we care about, and that local knowledge shapes the way we work. We understand the area, the people, and the importance of being responsive and accessible rather than distant. If you are exploring care options for yourself or someone you love, we are always happy to have an honest conversation about how we might be able to help.

We provide nursing and care at home in Leicester. Those we support include older adults, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss and younger adults. Having nursing expertise available means we can support people whose health needs are genuinely complex at home rather than in a setting, which is what most people want if it can be done safely. It also means we can say honestly when it cannot, and we would rather do that early than let a family discover it during a crisis. Leicester is diverse in language, faith and food, and we treat that as a working detail. Being cared for by somebody you cannot easily talk to is isolating at home, so we ask at the outset and match carers where we can. Where somebody's life changed suddenly rather than gradually, we try to remember they have not finished with it. There are plans, relationships and opinions, and a care arrangement should not quietly reduce a person to their needs. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We ask the people we support how we are doing and give the awkward answers more weight.

We at Flexi Direct are proud to provide compassionate home care across Northampton and the wider West Northamptonshire community, supporting individuals to live safely and comfortably in the place they know best: their own home. As a home care agency based in the NN postcode area, we bring our support directly to residents throughout Northampton and the surrounding East Midlands communities. Rather than asking people to adapt to a new environment, we work within the familiar surroundings of your loved one's home, where cherished memories, treasured belongings, and daily routines can continue uninterrupted. This person centred approach allows care to fit seamlessly around each individual's lifestyle, preferences, and pace. Our team offers a broad range of specialised support tailored to a wide variety of needs. We provide older person care for those who value their independence but appreciate a helping hand with everyday tasks, and dedicated dementia care delivered with patience, understanding, and consistency to help reduce anxiety and support wellbeing. For adults living with a learning disability or autism, we focus on enabling choice, promoting confidence, and encouraging meaningful daily activity. We also support individuals with physical disabilities, offering practical assistance that respects dignity at every step, and we work sensitively with those experiencing visual or hearing impairment, adapting our communication and approach to suit each person. Our support extends to younger adults too, recognising that care needs can arise at any stage of life and that every individual deserves a plan built around their own goals and aspirations. In practice, this means families can expect a thoughtful, flexible approach. Whether your relative needs companionship and light domestic help, personal care in the morning and evening, medication prompts, support with mobility, or more comprehensive assistance throughout the day, our carers are here to help. We understand that inviting someone into a family member's home requires trust, and we work hard to build that trust through consistency, kindness, and clear communication with both the person we support and their loved ones. Families can also take reassurance from our Care Quality Commission rating of Good, awarded across every domain including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led, following our inspection in October 2022. This independent recognition reflects our commitment to delivering care that is not only safe and effective but genuinely warm and responsive to the individuals and families we serve. Being rated Good across all five areas demonstrates that our practices, our leadership, and above all the day to day experience of the people in our care meet the standards families rightly expect. Choosing home care for someone you love is a significant decision, and we know it often comes at an emotional time. If you are exploring options for a parent, partner, relative, or friend in Northampton or the surrounding area, we would be delighted to have a friendly, no pressure conversation about how we might help. • Home Care

We provide support at home in Corby and the surrounding area, working with older people, younger adults, adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people living with mental health needs. Our starting point is a proper conversation about how someone wants to live and what is getting in the way, rather than a fixed list of what we offer. For some of the people we support, that means help with personal care, meals and the practical running of a household. For others it is about being alongside while they manage their own home, get out to work or college, keep appointments and stay connected to the people who matter to them. We try to work at the person's pace and to do less as soon as less is what is needed. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We would rather say so plainly than leave the impression of something we have not earned, and we are happy to answer searching questions about training, supervision and what we do when something goes wrong. If you are thinking about support at home in this part of Northamptonshire, do get in touch. We will listen first, and we will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit for the situation.

We at Care and Support Services are proud to provide trusted home care across Buxton and the surrounding Derbyshire communities, supporting people to live safely and comfortably in the place they know best: their own home. As a dedicated home care provider in the heart of the Peak District, we bring compassionate, personalised support directly to your doorstep. Whether you live in a terraced home near the town centre, a quiet bungalow on the outskirts, or a cottage tucked into the Derbyshire hills, our team travels to you, fitting our care around your routine, your home, and your way of life. Familiar surroundings, treasured possessions, and beloved pets all play an important role in wellbeing, and we believe care at home preserves what matters most. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the people we support. For older adults, we offer thoughtful companionship, help with daily tasks, medication prompts, and personal care delivered with dignity and respect. Our dementia care is built on patience, consistency, and gentle reassurance, with carers who take time to understand each person's history, preferences, and the small details that bring comfort on difficult days. For families navigating a dementia diagnosis, we aim to be a steady, knowledgeable presence you can rely on. We also support younger adults and individuals living with learning disabilities or autism, focusing on independence, choice, and meaningful daily routines. Our approach is led by the person, not the condition, encouraging skills, hobbies, and community connections that make life feel full. For those with physical disabilities, we provide practical assistance with mobility, transfers, and personal care, always working alongside the person to maintain as much independence as possible. We are equally attentive to the needs of people with visual or hearing impairments, adapting how we communicate and ensuring the home environment remains safe and accessible. In practice, this means a carefully matched carer arriving at agreed times, taking the time to listen, and delivering support that adapts as needs change. Families tell us that the reassurance of knowing a familiar face is checking in, sharing a cup of tea, or helping with a morning routine makes an enormous difference, particularly when relatives live further afield or juggle work and caring responsibilities. Our most recent CQC inspection rated us Good overall, with Good ratings across all five domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. This independent recognition reflects the standards we hold ourselves to every day, from the way we recruit and train our carers to how we listen to feedback and respond to the changing needs of the people we support. For families weighing up options, we hope this gives confidence that the care we provide is grounded in safety, kindness, and good leadership. Choosing care for someone you love is rarely easy, and we know the questions can feel endless. We are here to talk things through at your pace, with no pressure and no jargon. Whether you are arranging short term support after a hospital stay, planning longer term care, or simply exploring what might be possible, we warmly invite you to get in touch. Let us help you find a way forward that feels right for your family, here in Buxton and across Derbyshire.

Arranging and funding home care in the East Midlands

Ask for an assessment early

It is worth requesting a care needs assessment early, even where you fully expect to pay for everything yourselves. Anyone who appears to need care and support is entitled to one whatever their income or savings, and a family member can make the request on someone's behalf. A practitioner from the local authority will look at washing, dressing, meals, medication, mobility and safety, then set out in writing what support would meet the need. That written record is useful well beyond the funding question, because it gives you something concrete to hand to any agency you approach. A relative providing unpaid support can request a carer's assessment of their own at the same time.

Who pays, and for what

Care at home is charged by the hour, with shorter calls priced proportionately and higher rates common at weekends, on bank holidays and overnight. A financial assessment applies the national means test to work out what the local authority contributes, and anyone holding capital above the upper threshold arranges and funds care privately. Where support is funded, it may be provided as an arranged service or as a direct payment, which lets you choose the agency yourself and keep control of the rota. Attendance allowance is worth claiming alongside all of this, because it is not means tested and does not depend on savings. Ask every agency for its full rate card in writing, including travel charges and the notice period, before agreeing a start date.

Choosing between home care agencies in the East Midlands

Coverage comes before comparison

An agency registered in the East Midlands is not necessarily an agency that will travel to your relative's street, and rounds are built around geography. Ask the coverage question in the first phone call, along with which time slots are genuinely available, because an agency that can only offer a late morning call when the need is at seven in the morning is not a real option. Work out first how many visits a day are needed, at what times, and what has to happen during each one. That single piece of preparation will cut a listing of this size down to a handful of names very quickly.

What a rating actually measures

The Care Quality Commission inspects a home care agency as an organisation rather than as a building, so its rating reflects recruitment and training, medication handling, how calls are scheduled and covered, and how complaints are answered. Agencies here are rated Outstanding, Good and Requires Improvement, and some hold no rating because they registered too recently to have been inspected. An unrated agency is not necessarily a weak one, but there is no independent view to rely on, so ask more searching questions and request references. Where a report exists, read the findings on safety and responsiveness rather than stopping at the summary word.

Questions to put to a manager

Ask how many different carers will visit in a typical fortnight, since continuity matters more day to day than almost anything else. Ask what happens when a carer is delayed or off sick, and whether the family is told. Ask how visits are recorded, whether relatives can see those records, and how medication support is signed off. Ask about minimum call lengths and how a package can be increased if needs change. A well run agency will answer every one of those without hesitation.

Frequently asked questions about home care in the East Midlands

How many home care agencies are there in the East Midlands?

The East Midlands has 1,441 CQC registered home care agencies: 44 Outstanding, 624 Good, 123 Requires improvement, 3 Inadequate, 647 not yet rated. Counts come from the CQC register and are kept up to date as ratings change.

How much does home care cost in the East Midlands?

Hourly care visits, East Midlands: £30.58 to £32.23 an hour. Middle half of prices from 7 agencies. Median £31.00. Published prices come from agencies that publish rates, so treat them as a guide. Ask the agency for its own price.

Which home care agencies in the East Midlands were inspected most recently?

Bateleur HC Ltd (30 September 2026), Sharon Brinkman Care Services Ltd (29 September 2026) and Belvoir Home Care (28 September 2026) have the most recent CQC reports.

How is a care needs assessment arranged in the East Midlands?

Contact the adult social care team at the local authority covering the address where your relative lives and ask for a care needs assessment. Anyone who appears to need support is entitled to one regardless of income or savings, and you can make the request on a relative's behalf. A practitioner will look at daily tasks, mobility, medication and safety before setting out what support would meet the need. A financial assessment follows separately to establish who pays.

Will the local authority contribute towards home care?

It may, depending on the results of the needs assessment and the financial assessment taken together. The local authority applies the national means test, so capital above the upper threshold means funding care privately, while capital below it can bring a contribution. Where care is funded, a direct payment is often available so that you can choose the agency rather than accept an arranged service. Attendance allowance sits outside the means test and can be claimed alongside any of these arrangements.

Which agencies deliver home care across the East Midlands?

1,441 agencies registered to provide care in people's own homes are listed for the East Midlands. They include national providers running local branches as well as small independent agencies covering only a few towns. Coverage is the first thing to check, since registration in the region does not guarantee that an agency's rounds reach a particular address. Every entry links to a profile showing the Care Quality Commission rating and the findings behind it.

How does home care compare with moving into a residential or nursing home?

Home care brings a carer to the door for planned visits while your relative stays in their own house with their routine and possessions intact. A residential home provides accommodation with support available through the day and night, and a nursing home adds registered nurses on site for clinical needs. Home care works well where support is needed at predictable points in the day and can be increased gradually. Where someone needs supervision around the clock, a residential setting is usually more realistic.

How early should a family start looking for an agency?

A few weeks generally allows enough time to compare agencies, arrange an assessment and let a package begin gently rather than all at once. Starting early also leaves room to trial a small number of visits and build from there as needs become clearer. Where care is needed on discharge from hospital the timescale shortens to days, and a temporary package may be arranged for you. Nothing about that first arrangement is permanent, so treat it as a starting point rather than a final decision.

What should I ask an agency before agreeing to a care package?

Ask how many different carers will come in a typical fortnight and whether the same people return, because continuity affects the experience more than any other factor. Ask how late or missed calls are handled and whether the family is notified at the time. Ask how visits are logged, whether relatives can see the records, and how medication is documented. Ask about minimum call lengths, notice periods and any charges for travel or bank holidays, and ask for the answers in writing.
