About Us
Continuity Health Care supports people in and around Hinckley in their own homes. The name reflects what we think matters most in home care, which is that the same people turn up, know you and notice when something has changed.
We support older people who need help with the everyday tasks that have become harder, washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping and getting out of the house safely. We support people living with dementia, where familiarity and an unhurried manner achieve far more than a detailed plan handed to somebody new. We also work with adults managing mental health conditions, where reliability and being genuinely listened to count for a great deal, people living with a physical disability, where good support is largely about making daily life workable again, and younger adults, whose priorities are often about getting on with ordinary life rather than being kept safe indoors.
We plan our rounds around familiar faces rather than filling gaps with whoever happens to be free. It takes more effort to arrange, but it is the difference between being cared for by somebody who knows you and being visited by a stranger with a list.
