About Us
Santo Healthcare provides care in people's own homes in Leicester and across Leicestershire. We support older people, younger adults and people living with dementia, with the aim of making home a safe and comfortable place to stay for as long as somebody wishes it.
Most people who contact us are at a point of change. Perhaps there has been a fall or a hospital stay, or perhaps things have been getting gradually harder and it is time to accept some help. We start by listening properly: how the day runs at the moment, what has become difficult, what can still be managed alone, and what would make the biggest difference. Everything we propose follows from those answers.
Visits may cover getting up, washing and dressing, support with medication, preparing meals and encouraging somebody to eat and drink well, help to move about the house safely, laundry and shopping, or getting out to appointments and to see people. For those living with dementia, we keep the carers and the timings consistent, because a familiar face at a familiar hour prevents more confusion than anything else we can do.
We put the agreed plan in writing so everybody knows where they stand, and we review it as circumstances change. Our carers are trained for the needs they will meet and are properly supervised, and families can reach somebody who knows the situation when they need to.
