About Us

YourLife in Kendal provides care and support to people in their own homes in the town and the surrounding area. We are here so that people can stay in the place they know, with their own things around them, and receive help at the times that genuinely suit them.

We support older adults with personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and getting out safely, adjusting how long and how often we come as needs change rather than leaving a plan in place out of habit. We support people living with dementia, where the most useful thing we bring is a familiar person who is not hurrying and who knows how this individual likes things done. We work with people who have physical disabilities, helping with washing, dressing and mobility while leaving the person in charge of how it is done, and with people who have a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we announce ourselves, speak and explain what we are about to do. We also support younger adults, whose care is planned around work, study, family and independence.

We keep the team around each person as small as the rota allows.
