Beech House provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chester and the surrounding area. We work with adults who have learning disabilities, autistic adults, younger adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. Most of the people we support have a long life ahead of them and their own ideas about how to live it. Support in that situation is not about keeping somebody safe and occupied. It is about making a particular life workable, whether that means keeping a tenancy, holding down a job or a college place, seeing friends, managing money or getting about independently. So we begin with what the person wants rather than a list of needs. Plans are written with them, in a form they can actually use, involving family or an advocate if they want that, and revised as things change rather than at fixed review dates. We keep the team around each person small and introduce new support workers properly. For autistic people that consistency matters more than almost anything, along with notice of change well in advance and attention to sensory needs. Where somebody communicates through signing, pictures, objects or their own familiar gestures, our staff learn their way of doing it. Where there is a physical disability or sight loss we look closely at equipment and at how the home is arranged. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about support in the Chester area.

Adada Care Cheshire supports people in their own homes across Chester and the surrounding parts of Cheshire West and Chester. We work with older people, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability or autism, those managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people living with a visual or hearing impairment. We also support younger adults. With that spread of needs there is no standard package, and we do not pretend to offer one. Every arrangement begins with a proper conversation about how someone likes their day to run, what they manage well themselves and where support would genuinely help. From that we agree a written plan in plain language, and we revisit it as things change. Visits can cover personal care, medication, meals, household tasks, shopping, appointments and company, from a short daily call to support across the whole day. For people with a sensory impairment we make sure conversation and information actually reach them, and for those living with dementia we keep faces and routines as familiar as we can. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We say so plainly and are glad to explain how we recruit, train and supervise our carers. Please get in touch.

    • Home Care

At Premier Care Trafford & Manchester, we provide home care across Manchester and the surrounding areas, supporting people to live as independently as possible in the comfort of their own homes. We work with older adults, younger adults, and people living with dementia, physical disabilities, and visual or hearing impairments, and we try to make sure every person we support receives care that genuinely fits around their life. We know that inviting someone into your home to provide care is a significant decision, and we do not take that trust lightly. Our team works hard to build real, consistent relationships with the people we support and with their families, because we believe good care depends on actually knowing someone, understanding their routines, their preferences, and what matters to them day to day. Dementia care is an area we give a great deal of thought to. Supporting someone living with dementia requires patience, consistency and a willingness to adapt, and we put considerable effort into making sure our staff are equipped to provide that support in a way that feels calm and familiar rather than clinical. We are open about the fact that our most recent CQC inspection resulted in a requires improvement rating. We have taken that feedback seriously and have been working through the areas identified with a real focus on making tangible changes. We think it is important to be honest about where we are and what we are doing about it, rather than simply presenting a polished front. The people we support and their families deserve that transparency. If you are looking for home care in Manchester and would like to talk through what we can offer, we are always happy to have an honest conversation about whether we are the right fit for you or your loved one.

    • Home Care

We provide care and support in people's own homes across Manchester. The people we work with include older people, those living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and younger adults whose care sits alongside work, study and family life. That range means the shape of support varies enormously. For an older person it may be help with washing, dressing and meals, and somebody to talk to while it happens. For a younger adult it is often less about personal care and more about the scaffolding of an ordinary life, from cooking and shopping to keeping a job or a course going. Before anything begins we come out and talk. We want to know how a household already runs, what somebody actually wants help with and what they would rather carry on doing themselves. Independence handed over unnecessarily is very hard to recover. After that it is about reliability and familiar faces. Arriving when we said we would. Keeping the same carers with the same households. Handing over properly. Saying early when something has changed. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch and we will arrange to visit.

We at Meridian Health and Social Care Salford are proud to provide compassionate home care across Manchester and the wider Salford area, supporting people to live safely and independently in the comfort of their own homes. Based in the M postcode area of Salford, our team is ideally placed to reach individuals and families throughout the local community. Rather than asking loved ones to leave familiar surroundings, we bring thoughtful, personalised support directly to their doorstep, whether that be a family home, a flat, or sheltered accommodation. Remaining in a well loved environment, surrounded by cherished belongings and neighbours, can make a profound difference to wellbeing, and our approach is built entirely around that belief. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the communities we serve. We support older people who may need a helping hand with daily routines, as well as younger adults seeking to build confidence and independence. For those living with dementia, our carers offer patient, familiar continuity, helping to reduce confusion and provide reassurance during moments of uncertainty. We also support adults with learning disabilities and autism, tailoring our communication and routines to suit each individual, and we work sensitively with people managing mental health conditions, providing steady, non judgemental companionship alongside practical assistance. For people living with physical disabilities or visual and hearing impairments, we adapt our care to promote dignity, safety, and choice at every step, from mobility support and personal care to enabling engagement with hobbies, community activities, and family life. In practice, this means families can trust that whatever the circumstances, their relative will be met with understanding, respect, and skilled attention. We understand that inviting a care provider into a loved one's home is a significant decision. That is why we place such importance on building trusting relationships, listening carefully to what matters most, and shaping our support around each person's preferences, culture, and daily rhythms. Family members are treated as valued partners, kept informed and involved as much as they wish to be. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our Care Quality Commission rating of Good, awarded following inspection in May 2022. We achieved Good across every domain assessed, including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. For families, this offers meaningful reassurance that our practices have been independently reviewed and found to meet the standards expected of a trusted home care provider, from the safety of the care delivered to the responsiveness and leadership behind it. If you are exploring home care options for yourself or someone you love in Manchester or Salford, we warmly invite you to get in touch. Choosing the right support can feel daunting, but you do not have to navigate it alone. Our team is here to answer your questions, listen to your concerns, and help you understand how personalised home care could make a positive difference. We are Home Instead in south Manchester, supporting people in their own homes across the area. We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia or a mental health condition, people with a learning disability or autism, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Our visits are built around the person rather than around a list of tasks. That means enough time to do things at the right pace, and enough time for the conversation that often matters as much as the practical help. Support takes in personal care, medication, meals and drinks, the house and the shopping, and getting out to appointments or simply for a change of scene. We match carers to households carefully and then keep that match steady. Somebody who has been visiting for months knows what a good day looks like for that person, and that is what allows them to flag something before it becomes a crisis. It also means the person at the door is a familiar face rather than a stranger with a rota. We keep families informed as well, with the person's agreement, which matters particularly when somebody lives alone. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are thinking about care at home in south Manchester, please call us and we will talk it through.

Comfort Call at Monica Court supports people across Salford in their own homes. Our work covers a wide range of needs, and we plan each person's support around their own routines rather than around a standard schedule. We support older people with the everyday tasks that have become harder, and people living with dementia, where a familiar carer and an unhurried pace matter more than anything on paper. We work with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss. We also support younger adults and people in recovery from alcohol or drug misuse, and we approach that work without judgement and without assuming we already know somebody's story. Continuity is what makes this work. A carer who knows a person well notices the flat mood or the untouched meal that turns out to be the first sign of something, and that is how problems get caught early. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We regard that as a baseline rather than an achievement. If you are considering care at home in Salford, ring us and we will give you a straight answer about what we could offer.

    • Home Care

We at Sagecare (Bourke Gardens) are proud to provide compassionate home care across Manchester and the wider Salford area, supporting individuals to live safely and comfortably in the place they know best: their own home. As a home care agency, we come to you. Rather than asking people to adjust to a new environment, we bring skilled, personalised support directly into the familiar surroundings of your loved one's home, whether that's a family house, a flat, or sheltered accommodation within the M postcode community. This approach preserves the routines, memories, and independence that mean so much, whilst ensuring the right level of professional support is always at hand. Our team supports a broad range of needs, and this breadth is one of the things families tell us matters most. We provide older person care with warmth and respect, helping with everything from morning routines to companionship throughout the day. For those living with dementia, we offer patient, consistent support that reduces confusion and anxiety, working closely with families to understand each person's history, preferences, and the small details that bring reassurance. Our carers are also experienced in supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism, focusing on communication, choice, and enabling people to live the life they want. We assist individuals with physical disabilities, helping with mobility, personal care, and daily tasks in a way that promotes dignity rather than dependence. For those with visual or hearing impairments, we adapt our communication and approach so that support always feels respectful and empowering. We also provide sensitive, non-judgemental support for people affected by alcohol or drug misuse, recognising that recovery and stability are best nurtured in a stable home environment. In practice, this means families can turn to one trusted provider as needs change over time. A parent who initially needs a little help with shopping and companionship may later require more substantial dementia support, and we can adapt our care plan gradually rather than asking families to start again with someone new. Continuity matters, and we work hard to build genuine relationships between our carers and the people they visit. We are rated Good by the Care Quality Commission across every domain: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well-led. For families weighing up their options, we understand this independent assurance carries real weight. It reflects that our care is delivered safely, that outcomes are positive, that our team treats people with kindness, that support is tailored to each individual, and that the agency is managed thoughtfully from the top down. It is a standard we work to maintain and build on every day. Choosing home care for someone you love is rarely a straightforward decision, and we know families often carry a great deal of worry through the process. If you are exploring options in Manchester or Salford, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We are always happy to talk things through gently, answer your questions, and help you understand whether our support could be the right fit for your family. Whatever you decide, you are not navigating this alone.

Serving families throughout the M postcode area and the wider Manchester community, we bring personalised support directly to your doorstep. Because our care is delivered in your own home, the environment is one you already love. Our role is to work respectfully within it, adapting to your routines, preferences, and the rhythms of your household. Whether you live in a quiet suburban street, a city centre flat, or a family home filled with memories, our carers arrive ready to blend seamlessly into daily life, offering practical support whilst preserving the familiarity and comfort that make home so important, particularly for those living with cognitive or sensory challenges. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the people we support. We provide dedicated dementia care, offering gentle, consistent support that helps reduce confusion and anxiety whilst promoting dignity and reassurance for both the individual and their loved ones. For adults with learning disabilities or autism, we focus on enabling independence, respecting individual communication styles, and supporting each person to pursue the activities and goals that matter to them. Our mental health support is delivered with patience and understanding, recognising that recovery and wellbeing are deeply personal journeys. We also assist people living with physical disabilities, helping with mobility, personal care, and daily tasks in ways that empower rather than diminish. For those with visual or hearing impairments, our carers adapt their approach thoughtfully, ensuring communication is clear, respectful, and tailored to individual needs. In practice, this means families can feel confident that their loved one is being cared for by someone who truly understands their situation, rather than delivering a one size fits all approach. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection, completed in July 2023, where we were rated Good overall. This rating was awarded across every domain assessed: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. For families, this consistent recognition offers meaningful reassurance. It confirms that the care we deliver is not only kind and person centred, but also safe, effectively managed, responsive to changing needs, and underpinned by strong leadership. When you are trusting someone to support a family member in their own home, that independent validation matters. We understand that arranging home care can feel like a significant step, often taken during a period of worry or change. Please know that we are here to listen, to answer your questions honestly, and to help you find the right level of support for your loved one. Whether you are exploring options for the first time or seeking a provider who truly understands complex needs, we warmly invite you to get in touch and discover how Sheila Jeans Home Care can bring peace of mind to your family.

    • Home Care

We provide care at home in Didsbury and the surrounding part of Manchester, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with visual or hearing impairments. Most people who approach us are trying to stay in the home they know rather than make a move they do not want. Our part in that is practical: visits at the times that suit, help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals, shopping and housework, assistance to move about safely, and company for somebody who spends too much of the week alone. Continuity is the part we work hardest at. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually quiet, and the person is spared explaining themselves again and again. For people living with dementia, a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written in a care plan, because reassurance depends on being recognised. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach senior colleagues for advice. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are weighing up care at home for yourself or a relative, please get in touch for an honest conversation about what we can provide.

    • Home Care

Carers Hive supports people in their own homes across Manchester. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with people who have mental health needs or physical disabilities, and with younger adults who need support to live independently. Home care works when it fits the household it goes into, so we start by asking what a normal day looks like and where the real difficulties are. Sometimes the answer is help with washing, dressing and medication first thing. Sometimes it is meals, mobility and keeping on top of the house. Sometimes it is support to get out to appointments, work or the places that keep somebody connected, and often it is the ordinary company of a familiar person who has time to talk. We agree the plan with the person and whoever they want involved, set it out in plain words and review it honestly as needs change. We tell people straight when we think more support is needed than we can safely provide at home. Manchester households differ enormously in language, food and family life, and getting those things right is part of basic good care rather than an extra. The Care Quality Commission has not yet issued an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and inspected against their standards, and we are happy to explain how we check our own quality. Please get in touch and we will come and talk it through.

    • Home Care

Premier Care provides specialised support to people in their own homes across Manchester and Trafford. Our particular focus is supporting adults who live with mental health conditions, and we work with people whose needs are often too complex for a standard care arrangement. Support in this field only works when it is built on a relationship. A carer who knows somebody well can tell when a quiet day is just a quiet day and when it is the beginning of something more serious, and that judgement cannot be written into a rota. So we take real trouble over who we send to whom, we keep the team around each person small, and we give our staff the training and supervision that this work honestly requires. What we do varies a great deal. For some people it is help with the practical business of living: meals, medication, keeping a household running, managing appointments and correspondence. For others it is about structure and encouragement, getting out of the house, staying in touch with family, holding on to work or study, and keeping hold of progress that has taken a long time to achieve. For some it is about being there consistently through a difficult stretch. We work alongside community mental health teams, social workers and GPs rather than separately from them, and we raise concerns early rather than waiting for a crisis. If you are making a referral or looking for support for yourself or a family member, please contact us and we will be honest about what we can offer.

Younger adults stepping into more independent lives can rely on us to walk alongside them, building practical skills and emotional resilience at a pace that suits them. In practice, this means our team takes time to understand each person, their history, their preferences and their aspirations, before shaping a care plan that genuinely fits. Creative Support Salford Intensive Support is currently awaiting its first formal CQC inspection and therefore does not yet hold a published overall rating. New and recently registered providers often fall into this category, and it simply means an inspection outcome has not yet been recorded. In the meantime, we remain committed to upholding the standards of safety, effectiveness, care, responsiveness and leadership that the Care Quality Commission expects, and we welcome conversations with families who would like to learn more about our approach. Choosing home care for a loved one is a significant decision, and we understand the questions and emotions that come with it. If you are exploring support options in Salford or across Manchester, we would be delighted to hear from you. Please get in touch to discuss your family's needs, and let us show you how compassionate, intensive home support can help your loved one live well at home.

Dacy Care provides support in people's own homes across Manchester. Our aim is to give people enough help to keep living where they want to live, arriving when we say we will and delivered by carers they know. We visit older people needing assistance with washing, dressing, meals and medication, and people living with dementia, where continuity of carer and a settled routine matter more than almost anything else. We support adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and people whose sight or hearing is impaired, along with younger adults needing support to live independently. Manchester is a mixed and busy city and our team reflects that. Between us we speak a number of languages, and we will always try to match somebody with a carer they can talk to easily and feel comfortable with. Everything starts with a home visit and an honest conversation about what would genuinely help. The plan is written plainly and reviewed as needs change. Please get in touch if you would like to talk it through.

    • Home Care

We at Ignite Health Care are proud to deliver compassionate home care across Manchester, bringing professional support directly into the places our clients know and love best. As a dedicated home care agency serving the Manchester area and the wider North West, we understand that remaining at home, surrounded by familiar comforts and cherished memories, is what matters most to so many families. Our team travels throughout Manchester to reach clients in their own homes, meaning the environment of our care is uniquely personal to each individual we support. Whether that is a family house filled with photographs, a quiet flat, or a home shared with loved ones, we adapt seamlessly to the setting rather than asking anyone to adapt to us. This approach preserves independence, routine, and the small daily rituals that make a house feel like home. The breadth of our specialisms reflects the diverse needs of the Manchester community. We provide thoughtful older person care for those who value a helping hand with daily living, whilst our dementia care is delivered with patience, consistency, and a deep understanding of how important familiar faces and gentle routines can be for someone living with memory loss. For clients living with mental health needs, we offer sensitive, non judgemental support that focuses on wellbeing, stability, and dignity. Our physical disability care is designed to empower rather than restrict, helping clients achieve what matters to them each day, and we extend our expertise to younger adults who benefit from tailored support that respects their goals, lifestyles, and aspirations. In practice, this means families can expect care plans built around the individual rather than a one size template. It means carers who take the time to learn preferences, listen carefully, and communicate openly with relatives. It means peace of mind for loved ones who may live at a distance, knowing that a reliable, respectful presence is checking in, assisting with personal care, supporting medication routines, or simply sharing a conversation over a cup of tea. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our latest CQC inspection, where we were rated Good overall. Inspectors recognised us as Good across the Safe, Effective, Caring, and Responsive domains, which speaks to the day to day standard of support our clients receive. We also acknowledge that Well led was rated as Requires Improvement, and we take that feedback seriously. It has shaped an ongoing programme of leadership development and internal review, because we believe honest reflection is the foundation of continually better care. Families deserve transparency, and we would rather share the full picture than only the highlights. Choosing home care is one of the most important decisions a family can make, and we know it often comes at an emotional time. We warmly invite families across Manchester to get in touch, ask questions, and explore whether Ignite Health Care might be the right fit for your loved one. Whatever stage you are at in your search, we are here to listen, to reassure, and to help you find a way forward with confidence and care.

    • Home Care

We at Choice Independent Living are proud to provide compassionate home care across Manchester, supporting people to live safely and comfortably in the place they know best: their own home. As a dedicated home care agency serving the Manchester area and wider North West, we believe that thoughtful, personalised support can make all the difference to daily life. Because we come to you, our care is shaped entirely around your home environment and personal routines. Whether you live in a family house, a flat, or sheltered accommodation somewhere across the M postcode area, our team works discreetly and respectfully within your space, helping to maintain the comforting familiarity of surroundings, neighbours, and cherished belongings that make a house feel like home. For many people, remaining in their own community, close to loved ones and local memories, is an enormous source of wellbeing, and we consider it a privilege to make that possible. Our specialisms reflect the diverse needs of the people we support. We provide older person care with warmth and patience, recognising that later life brings both wisdom and vulnerability. Our dementia care is delivered by team members who understand how to offer reassurance, consistency, and gentle prompting, helping to reduce anxiety and preserve dignity as memory changes. For those living with mental health conditions, we offer steady, non judgemental support that respects each person's pace and preferences. We also support adults with physical disabilities, providing practical assistance with mobility, personal care, and daily tasks in ways that promote independence rather than dependence. For people with visual or hearing impairment, we adapt our communication and approach so that every interaction feels clear, respectful, and inclusive. And because care is not only for older adults, we extend our support to younger adults too, tailoring assistance to help them pursue the lives they choose. In practice, this means families can rely on us for everything from a brief morning visit to more comprehensive daily support, always delivered by people who take time to know the person behind the care plan. We work closely with relatives, keeping communication open so that loved ones feel informed, involved, and reassured. We understand that inviting a care team into a home is a significant step, and we approach that trust with the seriousness it deserves. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection, carried out on 29 October 2024, in which we were rated Good overall. We also achieved Good across all five key domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. For families weighing up their options, these ratings offer independent reassurance that the care we provide is safe, that outcomes are positive, that our team is genuinely kind, that support adapts to changing needs, and that our leadership sets clear standards from the top. If you are exploring home care in Manchester for yourself or someone you love, we warmly invite you to get in touch. We would be delighted to listen, answer your questions, and talk through how thoughtful support at home might help. Whatever stage of the journey you are at, please know that you do not have to navigate it alone.

We provide community care across Manchester, supporting people in their own homes. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults, people recovering from an eating disorder, and people working through difficulties with alcohol or drugs. A range that wide has taught us not to offer one pattern of support and hope it lands. Somebody rebuilding their life after dependence needs something entirely unlike somebody in the later stages of dementia, and each deserves an arrangement built for the person rather than the category. So we listen first, agree it in plain language, and revisit it honestly instead of filing it away. Where the work is sensitive we go carefully and without judgement. Recovery rarely runs in a straight line, and being dependable on the difficult weeks is most of what we are useful for. We work alongside health teams and specialist services rather than duplicating them. Much of what we do is more everyday: personal care, medication, meals, mobility, household jobs, shopping, appointments and company, from carers the household already knows. At our most recent inspection the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall.

    • Home Care

We at Care At Home are proud to provide compassionate home care across Manchester and the wider Bury area, supporting people to live well and safely in the comfort of their own homes. As a dedicated home care agency serving the North West, we understand that familiar surroundings can be one of the most powerful sources of comfort, dignity and independence. Our team works throughout local communities in the M postcode area, bringing thoughtful, person centred support directly to each individual's front door. Because care is delivered in the home, every visit is shaped around the surroundings, routines and preferences that make each person's life uniquely theirs. Whether that means preparing a favourite breakfast in a familiar kitchen, assisting with morning routines, or simply providing companionable conversation over a cup of tea, we aim to fit gently into daily life rather than disrupt it. We offer specialist support in several important areas. For adults living with a learning disability or autism, our approach is patient, consistent and respectful, focusing on building trust and encouraging independence at a pace that feels right for the individual. We work closely with families, advocates and other professionals to ensure that communication styles, sensory needs and personal goals are fully understood and reflected in the care we provide. For those with visual or hearing impairments, we take great care to adapt how we communicate and how we assist. This might involve clear verbal cues, considered positioning within the home, or ensuring that support workers are familiar with an individual's preferred methods of communication. Small adjustments can make an enormous difference to confidence and wellbeing, and we take the time to get these details right. We also proudly support younger adults, recognising that care needs are not defined by age and that people at earlier stages of life often have very different aspirations. Whether the focus is on maintaining employment, pursuing education, staying connected with friends and community, or simply enjoying a fulfilling social life, our role is to provide the right level of support to help each person live the life they choose. For families, working with a home care agency can feel like a significant step, and we know how much trust you are placing in the people who come through the door. That is why we place such importance on continuity, communication and reliability. We want relatives to feel confident that their loved one is being treated with kindness and respect, and to know that they can speak with us openly whenever questions or concerns arise. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our latest Care Quality Commission inspection, where we were rated Good overall. We achieved a Good rating across every one of the five key domains that the CQC assesses, being Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well led. For families, this independent assessment offers meaningful reassurance that the care provided meets the standards expected by the regulator across every aspect of our work, from safeguarding and clinical effectiveness through to the warmth of our interactions and the strength of our leadership. We continue to build on that foundation every day, listening carefully to the people we support, learning from feedback, and refining our approach so that the care we deliver remains genuinely responsive to individual needs. If you are exploring home care options in Manchester or Bury for yourself or a loved one, we would be delighted to hear from you. Choosing support at home is a deeply personal decision, and we are always happy to have an unhurried conversation about what matters most to your family, answer any questions you may have, and explain how we might help. Please do get in touch when you feel ready. We are here to listen, to reassure, and to walk alongside you every step of the way.

We provide care and support to people in their own homes across Manchester. The people we work with include older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people managing mental health conditions and people with physical disabilities. Support here is built around the person rather than around a package we happen to offer. We visit first, listen properly, and agree what help is wanted, how often and who will provide it. Family members and advocates are involved whenever the person wants them there, and the plan is revised when circumstances change rather than at fixed review dates. Reliability is the substance of the job. Turning up when we said we would, with somebody who already knows the household, is worth more than any description we could write. So we keep the team around each person small and local, brief staff properly before they start with somebody new, and avoid unannounced substitutions. What we do covers personal care, medication, meals and drinks, housework and laundry, shopping, getting out to appointments, work, college or something sociable, and company for people whose days have become isolated. For autistic people we give advance notice of change and pay attention to sensory needs. For people living with dementia we keep the same faces visiting and work at their pace. If you are looking for support in Manchester for yourself or a relative, please get in touch and we will come and see you.

Dynamis Care provides support at home to people across Manchester. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have mental health needs or physical disabilities, and with younger adults who want to live independently. We plan each package around the person rather than offering a set list of options. Some people want a short call in the morning to get the day started safely, with help washing, dressing and taking medication. Others need support at several points, with meals, mobility, the house and the shopping. For younger adults and for people with a learning disability, the work is often about making independent living practical, from budgeting and cooking to appointments and keeping a tenancy going. Before we start we visit, talk it through with the person and anyone they want involved, write the plan in plain words and agree how we will review it. We are straightforward when we think somebody needs more than we can safely offer at home. Keeping the same carers going into the same homes is something we work at, because familiarity is how a carer comes to notice the early signs that something is wrong. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.

Yourlife in Prestwich supports people in their own homes across this part of Greater Manchester. We work with older people, people living with dementia, adults with a physical disability, people with visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. Nearly everyone who contacts us wants to carry on living where they are. Our job is to make that practical rather than to take over. Depending on what is needed, that might be a single morning call to help someone wash, dress and get the day going, several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals and company, or a longer sit so a family carer can have a few hours to themselves. The first conversation is where the work really starts. We want to know how the day usually runs, what has become hard, and what the person can still do perfectly well and would rather we left to them. Support planned that way feels like help rather than interference. Where sight or hearing is reduced, we adapt how we communicate and keep things where the person expects to find them. Where somebody has a physical disability we think properly about equipment and about not helping more than is wanted. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us to talk things through.

Alexendra Living Care provides care and support to people in their own homes across Manchester. We are a home care agency, which means we come to you, fitting around the house you already live in and the routine you already have rather than asking you to fit around us. We support older people who need a hand with the parts of the day that have become difficult, whether that is getting washed and dressed, managing medication, preparing meals, or keeping on top of the housework. We also support younger adults, and people of any age living with a physical disability, where the right practical help makes the difference between managing and not managing. A good deal of our work is with people living with dementia and with the families around them. We keep the same small group of carers going to the same person wherever we can, because familiarity does more for someone with dementia than any amount of paperwork. We take our time, we follow the person's lead, and we tell relatives honestly how things are going. Care can be a single short visit a day or several visits from morning until bedtime, and it can change as needs change. We would rather review a plan too often than too rarely. If you would like to talk something through, please contact us. We are happy to visit, listen, and set out what support would actually look like in practice.

    • Home Care

We at Rapha Care and Support Solutions are proud to offer compassionate home care across Manchester, bringing professional support directly to the people who need it most within the comfort of their own homes. As a dedicated home care agency serving the Manchester community and surrounding areas in the M postcode region, we understand that remaining at home, surrounded by familiar sights, sounds and memories, is often the greatest wish of those who require additional support. Based in the heart of Manchester, our team travels throughout the local area to deliver care where it truly belongs — in the place our clients call home. Whether that home is a family house filled with generations of memories, a quiet flat, or supported accommodation, we bring our warmth, professionalism and expertise directly to the doorstep. Operating across the Manchester local authority in the North West, we are well placed to respond to the diverse needs of the communities we serve. Our approach to care is genuinely person centred, and we take pride in the broad range of specialisms our team is equipped to support. We provide dedicated older person care and home care for those who need help with everyday tasks, from personal care and medication support to companionship and practical assistance around the house. For families navigating the complexities of dementia, we offer sensitive, patient support designed to reduce anxiety, preserve dignity and maintain routines that bring comfort and reassurance. We also support adults living with learning disabilities and autism, working closely with each individual to promote independence, choice and meaningful daily living. Our mental health support is tailored to each person's circumstances, offering steady, non judgemental care that helps people to feel safe, understood and empowered. For those living with a physical disability, we focus on enabling greater freedom, mobility and confidence, adapting our support to fit around each person's goals rather than the other way around. Recognising that care needs span the whole of adult life, we also work with younger adults who benefit from tailored support to live full and independent lives. Our team is experienced in supporting people affected by eating disorders, offering the sensitivity, consistency and respect this area of care demands. We also provide support for individuals affected by alcohol or drug misuse, walking alongside them with understanding and without judgement as they work towards greater stability and wellbeing. In practice, what this breadth of expertise means for residents and their families is choice, continuity and confidence. It means that as needs change over time, our team can often continue to provide familiar, trusted support rather than families having to seek out a new provider. It means that carers arrive not only with practical skills but with a genuine understanding of the conditions and circumstances our clients live with. And it means that loved ones can feel reassured that the person receiving care is being seen as a whole individual, not simply a set of tasks on a rota. As a newer presence within the regulated care landscape, Rapha Care and Support Solutions is currently listed as Not Yet Rated by the Care Quality Commission. This simply reflects that a full inspection has not yet taken place, which is common for services in their earlier chapters. We welcome the CQC framework wholeheartedly and are committed to meeting and exceeding the standards expected of every regulated provider. Families are always welcome to speak with us directly about how we work, the training our team receives, and the safeguards we have in place to ensure safe, effective and kind care. Choosing home care for a loved one is rarely a straightforward decision, and we understand the weight that families carry when exploring their options. Questions of trust, reliability and character matter enormously, and we would never expect anyone to make such an important choice without a proper conversation first. At Shabach Health Care in Tameside, Manchester, we provide home care support to people across a wide range of needs and circumstances. We work with older adults, people living with dementia, individuals with learning disabilities or autism, those experiencing mental health challenges, people with physical disabilities, younger adults, and those managing alcohol or drug misuse. Our aim is straightforward: to support people to live well in their own homes, on their own terms. We understand that inviting someone into your home to help with personal care or daily routines requires a great deal of trust. We take that seriously. Our team takes time to get to know each person we support, understanding not just their care needs but their preferences, routines, and the things that matter most to them. Care is not one size fits all, and we do not treat it that way. Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated us as Good, which reflects the effort our team puts in every day. We are proud of that rating, though we are always looking at how we can do better for the people we support and their families. We know that families often carry a great deal of worry when a loved one needs care at home. We try to keep communication open and honest so that everyone involved feels informed and reassured. Whether someone needs a brief visit each day or more intensive support throughout the week, we work to make sure the right help is in place. If you are looking for home care support in the Tameside area and would like to have a conversation about what we can offer, we would be very happy to hear from you. We are here to help you find the right arrangement, without pressure and without jargon.

LJP Wellbeing Healthcare provides care and support to people in their own homes across Oldham and the Manchester area. We work with older people, younger adults, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. Most people come to us because something at home has become harder than it was, and they want help that makes staying there possible rather than a move nobody has chosen. We try to provide exactly that and no more, because doing things for somebody that they can still manage takes something away from them. Everything starts with a visit and an unhurried conversation. What does the day look like now, what has become difficult, and what would the person rather keep doing for themselves. From that we agree who comes, when and what they do, with family or an advocate involved whenever the person wants them there. Visits cover personal care, help with medication, meals and drinks, housework and laundry, shopping, getting to appointments, and company for people whose days have grown very quiet. For those living with dementia we keep the same small team visiting and work at their pace. Where somebody has a physical disability we look closely at equipment, transfers and how the home is arranged. We are strict about timekeeping, because waiting in for somebody who does not arrive as promised is genuinely distressing. Please give us a ring if you would like to talk about support in the area.

    • Home Care

We are Calderdale Homecare, and we provide care in people's own homes across Oldham, Rochdale and the north of Manchester. We support older people, including many living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Our reason for doing home care rather than anything else is simple. Home is where the routines make sense, where you know where everything is kept, and where you are still the one who decides. Support that keeps somebody there is usually worth more than support that moves them somewhere unfamiliar, and it is often less than people imagine. Every arrangement begins with a conversation in the person's own home. How does the day run now? What has become difficult? What do you still want to do for yourself, and where would a hand actually help? From those answers we agree the visits, which might be one short call a day, several calls, or a longer stretch so that a relative caring full time gets a proper break. We expect to revise the plan, because needs rarely hold still. For people living with dementia, familiarity does more good than anything else we could offer, so we work hard to send the same carers to the same households. A carer who knows somebody well is also the first to notice when something has changed. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Do ring us if you would like to talk it through.

    • Home Care

We are WEF Care, a home care agency supporting adults in Chesterfield and around Derbyshire. We provide care in people's own homes so that moving somewhere else does not have to be the answer. The people we support are varied. Older people and people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities or autism, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who want help to live independently. That breadth means we think hard about who we send to whom, since the skills and the manner that suit one person may be quite wrong for another. Support might be a single call each morning or a series of visits through the day, covering personal care, medication, meals, housework and company. We agree the plan with the person, write down what we have actually done, and pass on anything that has changed to someone who can act on it. Across a county with a lot of scattered villages as well as towns, we plan our rounds carefully. A rural visit should be as dependable as one in the middle of Chesterfield, and if we cannot deliver that reliably we say so at the outset rather than letting someone down later. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us if you would like to talk things over.

    • Home Care

We provide care at home in Chesterfield and the surrounding parts of Derbyshire. Those we support include older adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. We resist a house style, because a house style would suit almost nobody. Plans are individual and the carer is chosen for the household rather than for the rota. A good deal of our work is practical: washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping, laundry, keeping a household in order. The rest is harder to write into a plan. Noticing that somebody is not themselves. Sitting down for the last ten minutes rather than leaving early. Telling the office that something has changed. That depends on sending carers who are paying attention. We review arrangements properly when circumstances change rather than adding minutes onto a plan that has stopped fitting. We keep our office reachable by an actual person. Families should not have to work through a menu to tell us something straightforward. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather hear about a problem this week than be congratulated in general terms.

    • Home Care

We at Disabled Children Service North - The Outback are proud to provide specialist home care across Chesterfield and the surrounding Derbyshire community, supporting children and young people with learning disabilities and autism in the place where they feel most comfortable: their own home. Based in Chesterfield, our team works directly within the familiar surroundings of each family we support. By delivering care in the home environment, we help children remain connected to the routines, spaces, and loved ones that bring them a sense of security and belonging. This approach allows us to tailor our support to the unique rhythms of each household, whether that means assisting with daily activities, encouraging independence, or providing respite that gives parents and carers a well deserved pause. Our specialism in learning disability and autism care means our approach is shaped around understanding, patience, and genuine respect for each child's individuality. We recognise that every young person communicates, learns, and experiences the world differently, and we take the time to get to know each child so that our support feels personal rather than procedural. For families, this means working alongside a team that listens carefully, adapts thoughtfully, and celebrates progress in all its forms. We aim to be a reliable partner in your child's journey, offering consistency, compassion, and a steady presence you can trust. The Care Quality Commission has rated our service Good across every domain, including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive, and Well led. This rating reflects the dedication of our team and offers families reassurance that the care we provide meets recognised national standards in quality and safety. It also speaks to our ongoing commitment to listening, learning, and improving so that the children and families we serve always feel valued and well supported. If you are exploring care options for your child in Chesterfield or the wider Derbyshire area, we warmly invite you to get in touch. Choosing the right support for your family is an important decision, and we are here to answer your questions, share more about our approach, and help you feel confident about the path ahead. Whatever your family needs, we are ready to walk alongside you with kindness, expertise, and care.

We are TLC Community, providing care to people in their own homes across Chester le Street and the wider County Durham area. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia or a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. What we do is practical. Visits cover personal care, support with medication, meals and drinks, help with the house and the shopping, and support to get out to appointments or simply out of the front door for a while. We agree the shape of it with the person, and with their family where they want that, then adjust it as circumstances change. Our starting point is always the person's own routine rather than our convenience. Somebody who has always been up early does not want to wait for a mid morning round, so we build the rota around households wherever we can and we ring ahead when something has slipped. We keep teams small and consistent. Letting somebody into your home to help you wash and dress asks a good deal of trust, and trust is built by familiar faces rather than by policies. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about care at home in County Durham.

Eternity Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chester Le Street and the surrounding area. We work with older people, with younger adults and with people living with dementia. The people who ring us are usually at a point where things have started to slip. Perhaps meals are being skipped, medication is being muddled, or getting washed and dressed has become the hardest part of the day. Our job is to put that right with as little disruption as possible, so that somebody can carry on living in their own home. Our visits cover personal care, prompting and support with medication, preparing meals and drinks, help with moving about safely, and practical tasks such as shopping, laundry and keeping the house in order. Some people need one call a day, others need several, and we adjust as circumstances change. For people living with dementia, we send the same carers wherever we can and take care to learn a person's history and routines. Familiarity reduces distress more effectively than anything else available to us. We keep families informed and work with GPs, community nurses and social workers where they are involved. If you are thinking about care at home, please ring us and we will come out to see you.

Sagecare at Matilda Place provides care and support to people living in their own homes in and around Winchester, Hampshire. We work with older people who want to stay independent, adults living with dementia, people with a physical disability, and younger adults who need practical support at home. Home care comes down to the details, so that is where we start. Before any visits begin we sit down with the person, and their family if they would like that, and agree what help is genuinely wanted, at what times and in what way. That becomes a written plan in plain language which our carers follow and which we change when circumstances change rather than leaving it filed away. Visits can cover personal care, help with medication, preparing meals, household tasks, shopping, getting to appointments and simply spending time with someone. Some people want a short call each morning. Others need support several times a day. Continuity is something we protect. We keep the team around each person small, because a familiar carer at a predictable hour is worth far more than an efficient rota, and because carers who know someone notice when things are different. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. We are open about that and happy to explain how we work. Please get in touch for a conversation.

    • Home Care

We are Brandon Trust Supported Living in Hampshire, working with adults across the Winchester area in their own homes. Our starting point is what somebody wants their life to look like, and then the practical question of what support would make that possible. We work with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss, as well as older people and younger adults. A great deal of what we do is about independence rather than dependence. Where somebody can take on more for themselves, whether that is cooking, managing money, using transport or getting into work or study, we would rather spend the time helping them get there than doing it for them because it is quicker. Keeping the same workers with the same people matters. Being properly known makes it far easier for somebody to say when things are not going well, and it means changes get noticed early. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather say so openly. Until we do, judge us on how we actually work, whether support happens when agreed, whether we communicate clearly and whether people feel listened to when they tell us what they want.

    • Home Care

We provide care at home in Winchester and the surrounding area, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities and people with loss of sight or hearing. Most people who approach us are trying to avoid a move they do not want. Our part in that is practical: visits at the times that suit, help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals, shopping and housework, assistance to move about safely, and company for somebody who spends too much of the week alone. Where needs are greater we arrange more frequent calls, and where they change we revisit the plan rather than leaving it as it was first agreed. Continuity is the part we work hardest at. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually quiet, and the person is spared explaining themselves again and again. For people living with dementia, a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written in a care plan, and where sight or hearing is poor, small habits matter: saying who you are on coming in, speaking clearly and not moving things about without saying so. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach senior colleagues for advice. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly. If you are weighing up care at home, please get in touch.

We are the care team based at Victory Court in Dorchester, supporting people in their own homes across the town and the surrounding parts of Dorset. We work with older people and younger adults, and with people living with dementia. The point of care at home is that life carries on where it already is. Nobody has to pack up a house, leave a garden or learn a new neighbourhood. Our job is to fit around the household rather than reorganise it, so we begin by asking how things already run and build the support to match. Visits cover personal care, support with medication, meals and drinks, help around the house and with shopping, and getting out to appointments or simply out for a while. Some people want half an hour each morning. Others need several calls a day. The right amount often changes over time, and we would rather revisit it than leave somebody with an arrangement that has stopped fitting. We keep teams small and consistent. A carer who has been coming for months knows what a normal day looks like for that person, and that familiarity is frequently what keeps somebody safely at home. The Care Quality Commission has not yet published an overall rating for us. We are happy to answer questions about training, supervision and how we handle concerns. Everycare provides home care to adults in Dorchester and the surrounding part of Dorset. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and people who have sight or hearing loss. Everything begins with what the person wants their day to look like. From there the support might include help with washing and dressing, medicines, meals, the household and shopping, or it might be about getting out to work, college, appointments and the places somebody likes to go. For younger adults it is frequently about building the practical skills independent living demands, and there we count it a success when we are needed less as time goes on. We put real effort into continuity. Being helped with personal care by somebody you have never met is a genuinely difficult thing to accept, so we keep the team around each person small and let you know in advance when it has to change. Where somebody communicates in their own way, or has sight or hearing loss, we learn how they prefer to be approached rather than expecting them to adapt to us. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We ask the people we support, and their families, whether we are getting the everyday things right.

Shauna Health Care provides care and support to people in their own homes in Dorchester and across Dorset. The people we work with include older people, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities, autistic people, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with sight or hearing loss. Support belongs to the person receiving it. It is their home, their routine and their decision how help happens, and we fit around that rather than expecting the reverse. We visit first and take our time over the conversation, because what families assume is difficult and what the person finds difficult are often not the same thing. From that conversation we agree a plan, with family or an advocate involved whenever somebody wants them there, and we revise it as circumstances change rather than at fixed review dates. Visits cover personal care, medication, meals and drinks, housework and laundry, shopping, getting out to appointments, and company. For autistic people we give notice of change well in advance and pay attention to sensory needs. For people living with dementia we keep the same small team visiting and work at their pace. This is a rural county, so we build rotas around real distances rather than ones that look efficient on paper and leave people waiting. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch to arrange a visit.

We provide care at home in Dorchester and the surrounding part of Dorset. The people we support include older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with visual or hearing impairments and people whose difficulties involve alcohol or drugs. That is a wide range of need, and it only works if we ask before we plan. For an older person, help often centres on personal care, medication, meals and keeping the house manageable. For a younger adult it is more likely to be about independence: running a home, getting to work or college, handling money and keeping appointments. For somebody dealing with substance use, what helps most is usually staff who are steady, do not moralise and keep turning up when they said they would. Covering a market town and a good deal of countryside means reliability has to be planned rather than promised, and we would rather be honest about what we can cover than commit to more than we can keep to. Our staff are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and have senior colleagues they can reach. Calmliving Healthcare provides care at home to people in Dorchester and the surrounding parts of Dorset. We work with older people and people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment, and with younger adults who need support to live independently. Home is where most people want to stay, and our job is to make that possible for as long as it sensibly can be. A visit might mean help with washing, dressing and medication, preparing meals, keeping the house and laundry in order, or a hand to get out to the shops, the surgery or a friend. For many of the people we visit, particularly those living alone in villages, the company matters as much as the practical help. Covering a rural patch means being realistic about travel, so we plan rounds carefully, arrive when we said we would and telephone if we are held up. We also work to send the same carers to the same households, because familiarity is what allows somebody to notice a person is quieter than usual, eating less or less steady on their feet. Care is planned with the person and their family, written plainly and reviewed as needs change. The Care Quality Commission has not yet issued an overall rating for us. We are registered with them and work to their standards. Please ring us to talk about support at home.

Vivid Community Care is a home care agency based in Colchester, supporting people in their own homes across the surrounding area. We work with older people who want to carry on living independently at home, and with younger adults, including adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults and people with mental health needs. What we do is set by the person rather than by a standard package. It may be a short morning call to help someone wash, dress and start the day safely. It may be support with medication, meals, shopping and household tasks. It may be support to get out to work, to college, to a club or to see family, or help to manage appointments and correspondence. Where someone wants to take on more for themselves, we step back at their pace and stay available. How we communicate is as important as what we do. We take time to learn how each person likes information given to them, how they tell us when something is wrong and what helps them feel settled when a day is difficult. Mental health support asks for patience and for noticing a change early, and we work alongside colleagues in local health teams where that helps. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. The measure we return to is whether the people we support have more choice and more control.

    • Home Care

We provide care in people's own homes in Colchester and across Essex. Our purpose is to support people to live where they want to live, with help that arrives when it should and is given by carers they know. We visit older people needing assistance with washing, dressing, meals and medication, and people living with dementia, where familiar faces and steady routines count for a great deal. We support adults who have a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability and people whose sight or hearing is impaired, along with younger adults needing support at home. We also support people working through problems with alcohol or drugs, where consistency and an absence of judgement matter most. Supporting that range properly means thorough briefing before a carer starts with somebody new, and small teams around each person so the face at the door is familiar. Everything begins with a home visit and an unhurried conversation about what would genuinely help. The plan is written plainly and reviewed as circumstances change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch to talk it through.

    • Home Care

Live In Solutions provides care and support to people in their own homes across Colchester and the surrounding parts of Essex. We are a home care agency, and we believe that with the right support in place, staying at home is a realistic option for far longer than many families assume. We support older people who need help with the practical business of the day, from getting up and washed to managing medication, meals, shopping and the housework. We support people living with dementia, and we keep our teams small and familiar around each person, because a face somebody recognises is worth more than any amount of documentation. We also support people with physical disabilities and younger adults who want help arranged around their own lives. Support can be arranged in different shapes. For some people a short daily call is enough. For others, more substantial support across the day and night is what keeps things safe and manageable at home. We will talk through honestly which of those actually fits, including when we think a different sort of arrangement would serve someone better. Plans are agreed with the person, written clearly and reviewed regularly, because needs change and last year's arrangement is rarely this year's. If you would like to talk something through, please contact us. We are happy to visit and answer questions.

We are a home care provider based in Colchester, supporting people in their own homes across Essex. Our work covers older people needing help with personal care, medication and everyday tasks, people living with dementia, autistic adults and adults with a learning disability, people managing mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults. We are clear with ourselves that these are different kinds of work, and that treating them as one would be a way of doing all of them poorly. So every package is planned individually. The first conversation takes as long as it needs, with the person and anyone they want present, and we ask the questions that referral forms never reach. What do you still want to do for yourself. What time does your medication really need to be taken. What makes a morning go badly. Who should we ring when something changes. Those answers become the plan, and the plan is revised when circumstances change rather than when a review falls due. We keep the same carers visiting the same people wherever the rota allows, because reliability is the foundation of this work, and our staff are trained for the specific needs they will meet.

We provide supported living in Colchester and across Essex for adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, working with younger adults and with older people who need support at home. Supported living means the house or flat belongs to the person rather than to us. We come in to help with whatever makes living there possible, and the aim is always that somebody runs their own life as far as they are able to. In practice that means the unglamorous things that make independence real: managing a tenancy, dealing with letters and bills, handling money, shopping and cooking, keeping appointments, getting to work, college or wherever a person wants to spend their time, and having staff alongside when something feels beyond facing alone. We ask what a person wants their life to look like before we suggest anything. Where somebody has grown older in their own home, we adjust what we provide and take on more help with personal care and health as it is needed, rather than treating a move as the obvious answer. Consistency of staff counts for a great deal in this work, particularly for autistic people, so we keep our teams as settled as we can and explain changes before they happen. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission and are glad to discuss that openly. If you are looking for support of this kind, please get in touch.

We provide care at home in Colchester and the surrounding part of Essex, supporting older people and younger adults, including people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities. People usually come to us at a point of change: a fall, a stay in hospital, a diagnosis, or the gradual realisation that managing alone has become harder than it used to be. Our part is practical. We arrange visits at the times that suit, help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals, shopping and housework, and assistance to move about the house safely. Where needs are greater we arrange more frequent calls, and where they change we review the plan rather than leaving it as first agreed. What people really judge an agency on is whether carers arrive when they said they would and whether it is the same faces each week. We work at both. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually withdrawn, and for people living with dementia a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written down. Our carers are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and can reach senior colleagues for advice. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. If you are thinking about care at home for yourself or a relative, please get in touch.

We are Alina Homecare in Chichester, and we provide support to people living in their own homes across the city and the wider West Sussex area. Our work is straightforward in intention: to help people stay where they want to be, doing as much for themselves as they still can. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, and people with a physical disability. A visit might be half an hour to help someone get up, washed and dressed, or it might be several hours covering personal care, support with medication, meals, laundry and a trip out. Some people want us every day, others only at the points in the week where they struggle. Both are fine, and we would rather get the amount right than sell anybody more than they need. We put a good deal of effort into matching carers to households and then keeping that match steady. Care at home only works when the person opening the door knows who is on the other side of it, remembers how the tea is made and notices when something is not quite right. The Care Quality Commission has not yet issued an overall rating for us here. We are glad to talk through our training, our supervision arrangements and how we respond when something goes wrong. If you would like to discuss support at home in and around Chichester, please get in touch and we will arrange a conversation.

Our part is practical. We arrange visits at the times that suit, help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals, shopping and housework, assistance to move about the house safely, and company for somebody who spends too much of the week alone. Where needs are greater we arrange more frequent calls, and where they change we review the plan rather than leaving it as it was first agreed. A carer who knows somebody notices when they are unwell, in pain or unusually withdrawn, and for people living with dementia a familiar and unhurried visit does more good than anything written down. We are the care team at Burham Court near Rochester, supporting people who live in their own flats here and in the surrounding area. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, adults living with a mental health condition, people with a physical disability, and people with a visual or hearing impairment. What we offer is support that fits around somebody's own front door. People here have their own home, their own routine and their own visitors, and the support comes to them rather than the other way round. That covers personal care, help with medication, meals and drinks, and a hand with the practical parts of the day that have become harder. The amount of help needed rarely stays the same. Some people want very little and simply like knowing someone is nearby. Others need several calls a day. We review it openly rather than leaving an arrangement in place because it happens to be on the schedule. Communication gets close attention here, because understanding a person properly is what allows them to run their own life rather than have it organised around them. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Please get in touch if you would like to talk about the support available here.

Lapwing Court, part of London Care, provides care and support to people in their own homes in Chichester and the surrounding parts of West Sussex. Our work is arranged around the life somebody already leads, and the aim is to make staying at home a realistic option. The people we support are varied. Older adults who need help with personal care, medication, meals or getting safely about the house. People living with dementia, where familiarity and patience are worth more than anything else. Adults with a learning disability or autism, where the aim is to build confidence rather than to do things for people. People living with mental health conditions, where a steady relationship and early attention to changes count for most. People with physical disabilities, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, where we adapt how we assist and how we communicate. We also support people affected by alcohol or drug misuse, without judgement and at the pace they set, along with younger adults whose weeks revolve around work, study and family. We keep the group of workers visiting each person as small as we can, because relationships do the real work here. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Arranging and funding home care in Chester

Starting with a care needs assessment

Almost every arrangement begins with a care needs assessment. This is a free conversation, usually held at home, in which a social care practitioner looks at washing, dressing, medication, meals, mobility and how safely someone manages overnight. Anyone who appears to need support has a right to one, regardless of income or savings. You can request an assessment yourself or on behalf of a relative, and it is worth doing early, because the written outcome becomes the reference point for everything that follows.

Who pays and how funding is decided

Once needs are agreed, a separate financial assessment looks at income and capital to work out what, if anything, the council will contribute. Cheshire West and Chester Council is the authority responsible for both the needs assessment and any funded support in this area, and it can arrange care directly or offer a direct payment so that a family chooses its own agency. Where the capital threshold is exceeded the arrangement is self funded, although the council will still carry out the assessment and give advice.

Understanding the cost of visits

Home care is normally charged by the hour or by the visit, so the weekly figure depends entirely on how often carers come and for how long. Short calls a few times a day cost less than continuous cover, but the hourly rate tends to be higher for very brief visits and for nights, weekends and bank holidays. Ask any agency for a written schedule of charges that covers travel, cancellations and rising need, and confirm whether the quoted rate changes once a package grows. Anyone paying for their own care should also ask whether the agency reviews its rates annually and how much notice it gives of an increase.

Choosing between home care agencies in Chester

Reading the CQC rating properly

The 531 agencies listed here carry the whole spread of inspection outcomes, from Outstanding through Good and Requires Improvement to Inadequate, with a large group not yet rated. A rating is a summary, not a verdict on the carers who will actually visit, so open the report itself. The findings on safe care and on whether the service is well led matter most for home visits, and a newly registered agency with no rating is not automatically a poor choice. Check the date of the inspection too, since an older report may describe a service that has changed hands or changed manager since the inspectors called.

Questions worth asking before you sign

Reliability is what families notice first, so ask how many different carers will attend in a typical fortnight, what happens when the regular carer is unwell, and how late a call has to be before the office tells you. Check that the care plan is written with the person receiving support rather than about them, and ask how it is reviewed. Notice periods, out of hours contact and the process for raising a concern are all worth confirming in writing before anything starts. If you can, speak to someone already using the agency, because a candid account of whether carers arrive when they say they will is the most useful evidence you will gather.

Frequently asked questions about home care in Chester

How many home care agencies are there in Chester?

Chester has 531 CQC registered home care agencies: 13 Outstanding, 252 Good, 23 Requires improvement, 3 Inadequate, 240 not yet rated. Counts come from the CQC register and are kept up to date as ratings change.

How much does home care cost in Chester?

Hourly care visits, North West: £25.00 to £28.90 an hour. Middle half of prices from 9 agencies. Median £26.58. Shown for North West because too few Manchester agencies publish a rate. Published prices come from agencies that publish rates, so treat them as a guide. Ask the agency for its own price.

Which home care agencies in Chester were inspected most recently?

Faiths Care (29 September 2026), Home Instead Chichester & Bognor Regis (23 September 2026) and Carerecruit Solutions Limited (8 September 2026) have the most recent CQC reports.

Can Cheshire West and Chester Council pay for home care in Chester?

It can, depending on the outcome of a needs assessment and a financial assessment. The council looks first at whether the level of need meets the national eligibility threshold, then at income and capital to decide what you contribute. Support may arrive as commissioned care or as a direct payment that lets you choose your own agency. Where savings sit above the threshold the care is self funded, but the council still owes you the assessment and practical advice.

How do I arrange a care needs assessment in Chester?

Contact the adult social care team at Cheshire West and Chester Council and ask for a care needs assessment. A GP, district nurse or hospital discharge team can also make the referral if that is easier. The assessment is free and is not means tested, so there is no reason to delay it while you work out finances. Keep a short note of the difficulties you have noticed, because concrete examples are far more useful to the assessor than general worry.

How far ahead should I start looking for home care?

Start sooner than feels necessary, ideally while the person still has the energy to take part in the decision. Assessments, financial checks and the agency assessment visit each take time, and good providers in a given postcode sometimes have no capacity for the exact call times you want. A few weeks of lead time turns an urgent scramble into an ordinary choice. Hospital discharge moves much faster, so if that is the situation, say so when you ring the council.

Which providers in Chester offer home care?

531 providers match this search, all of them agencies registered with the Care Quality Commission to deliver personal care in people's own homes. They run from national names to small local offices, and each one has a profile here setting out its rating and registration details. Coverage is by postcode rather than by town boundary, so confirm that an agency actually visits the street in question. Use the listing to build a shortlist, then check the inspection report for each.

What should I ask when a home care agency visits to assess?

Ask who will carry out the visits, how continuity is protected and what the agency does when a carer calls in sick. Find out how medication is recorded, how the office is contacted outside working hours and how quickly a care plan can change if someone comes out of hospital needing more help. Request a copy of the charges in writing, including travel and cancellation terms. Finally, ask how complaints are handled and how often the package will be reviewed.

What is the difference between a care home and a nursing home?

A care home provides accommodation with help for daily living such as washing, dressing, meals and company, delivered by care staff. A nursing home offers all of that plus a registered nurse on duty around the clock for conditions that need clinical oversight, such as complex wounds, tube feeding or unstable long term illness. The registration held with the Care Quality Commission shows which category a setting falls into. Home care differs from both, because support comes to the person rather than the person moving.
