    • Home Care

Elite Care 24/7 provides care at home for people in Sutton Coldfield and across the north of Birmingham. We support older people and younger adults who need help to manage everyday life in their own homes. We should address our inspection history first, because you will find it anyway. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We have taken the findings seriously, reviewed how we assess and plan care, improved our record keeping and put stronger supervision around our care workers. Not everything is finished. We would rather say that than present a polished account that does not match what an inspector would find. Ask us directly and we will answer directly. What we are trying to do has not changed. Reliable visits at the agreed time, from people who know the household and do what was agreed. Help with washing and dressing, medicines, meals, shopping and the practical business of keeping a home going. For younger adults, support that assists with the difficult parts of a day without taking over the rest of it. We keep the team around each person as consistent as we can manage, because a stranger at the door every week undermines everything else. If you are looking into care at home in this part of Birmingham, please call us. We will be honest about what we can take on and when we could start.

    • Home Care

Cera Birmingham North provides care in people's own homes across Sutton Coldfield and the north of Birmingham. We support older people, adults living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic adults, those living with mental ill health, adults with physical disabilities or sensory loss and younger adults. The point of home care is that somebody gets to stay where they want to be. Everything we do is measured against that. Is this person safe enough, well enough and content enough to carry on at home, and if the answer is becoming no, are we saying so honestly and early rather than waiting for a crisis? We plan support with the person rather than for them, and we go into the detail that referral forms never capture: the order things are done in, what a person would hate to lose, who they want contacted first. Then we keep a small consistent team visiting, because a familiar care worker notices changes that a rotating cast never will. Our care workers are trained for the needs they will genuinely meet, including dementia and support for autistic adults, and they have someone to call when a situation is difficult rather than being left to work it out alone. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are arranging care in this part of Birmingham, call us and we will be realistic about what we can offer and when.

    • Home Care

Here at Purple Flower Care, we are a home care agency based in Birmingham, supporting people to live well and comfortably in their own homes. We work with a wide range of individuals, including older people, younger adults, and those living with learning disabilities, autism, or mental health conditions. Our aim is straightforward: to provide care that genuinely fits around each person and the life they want to lead. We know that inviting a care agency into your home is a significant decision, and we do not take that trust lightly. Every person we support has their own routines, preferences, and goals, and we work hard to make sure the care we offer reflects that. We take time to get to know the people we support and those closest to them, so that care feels personal rather than routine. We are honest about where we are as an organisation. Our most recent CQC inspection resulted in a "requires improvement" rating, and we have taken that feedback seriously. We have been working through the areas identified and making meaningful changes to how we operate. We believe in being transparent with families and those seeking care, because trust is built through honesty, not just reassurance. Our team is made up of people who take real pride in the work they do day to day, whether that is helping someone maintain their independence, supporting a younger adult to engage with their community, or simply being a familiar and reliable presence for someone who needs it. If you are looking for home care in Birmingham and would like to have a conversation about what we can offer, we would be very glad to hear from you. We are always happy to talk through your situation and explore whether we might be the right fit.

    • Home Care

Productive Health Care provides home care to adults in Birmingham and the surrounding area. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and people who have sight or hearing loss. We begin by asking how your day currently goes and where it stops working, then build the visits around that rather than around a standard package. The practical ground will be familiar: help with washing and dressing, medicines, cooking and eating properly, laundry and tidying, shopping, and getting out to appointments, groups or simply to see people. Some people want one brief call each morning. Others need support several times a day, and for some the company matters as much as the tasks. Continuity is what makes home care work or fail. Being helped with personal care by somebody unfamiliar is genuinely uncomfortable, and for anybody living with dementia a stranger at the door can unsettle a whole morning, so we keep the team around each person small and give notice when a change cannot be avoided. Where somebody has sight or hearing loss, we learn how they prefer to be approached and spoken with. We agree the plan with the person rather than writing it about them, and we revisit it whenever circumstances change.

We are Activo Care, supporting adults in their own homes across Birmingham. We support older people and people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities or autism, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults who want help to live independently. That range means we take real care matching workers to people, because the skills and the manner needed vary a great deal from one visit to the next. Support might be a single call each morning or a series of visits covering personal care, medication, meals, housework and company. In a city as varied as this one we also pay attention to language, faith and food as a matter of course, because care that overlooks those things is not really personal care. We agree the plan with the person and with anyone else they want involved, and we revise it when their life changes rather than at a fixed review date. We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Until we have, please ask us direct questions about recruitment, training, supervision and who you can reach out of hours.

    • Home Care

We are Trust Quality Care, a home care provider in Birmingham supporting people in their own homes across the city. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition or an eating disorder, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults building independent lives. Because that range is wide, we do not offer a standard package. We visit first, talk properly with the person and with family if they want that, and agree what the support should actually cover. Some people need a short call each morning. Others need several visits a day, or support that is as much about encouragement and routine as it is about practical tasks. Where somebody has needs that take specialist understanding, we make sure the carers going in have been prepared for it rather than learning on the job. Continuity is something we work at. Knowing who is coming through the door matters to almost everybody we support, and for some of the people we work with it is the difference between accepting help and refusing it. We liaise with GPs, district nurses, community mental health teams and social workers as needed, and we keep families informed. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. We are Premium Community Care, supporting people in their own homes across Birmingham. We work with older people and people living with dementia, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use. We take that last group seriously rather than reluctantly. People do not stop deserving decent support because their situation is complicated or because they have been difficult for other providers to work with. We assess carefully and we are honest when we are not the right fit, but we do not turn somebody away simply because their circumstances are untidy. Support ranges from a short daily call to several visits covering personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and help getting out and about. For some of the people we work with, what matters most is not the practical task at all but the fact that somebody reliable keeps turning up. Birmingham is a varied city and the households we visit reflect that, so we take time to understand how a particular family does things and how they would like us to fit around them. We liaise with GPs, community teams and social workers. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good. Please get in touch to discuss what would help.

The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own houses, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently. Supporting that range means there is no standard package. What an older person needs first thing in the morning has very little in common with what an autistic adult running their own household wants from us, and we assess properly, agree the support with the person, and change it when their circumstances change. The practical work covers personal care, support and prompting with medication, meals, household tasks, shopping and help to get out to appointments or into town. For people with sight or hearing loss we adapt how we announce ourselves and explain what we are doing rather than working around them. Birmingham is a large and varied city and the people we support come from many different backgrounds, which shapes practical things such as food and language. • Home Care

We provide care at home across Birmingham. Those we support include older adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and younger adults. Birmingham is a city of many languages and backgrounds, and we treat that as a practical matter rather than a statement of values. Being cared for by somebody you cannot easily talk to is isolating, and food that means nothing to you is not comfort. So we ask about language, faith, diet and custom at the outset, and we match carers accordingly wherever we can. Supporting that range of needs also means resisting a single method. What helps an older person stay safely at home has little in common with what helps a young autistic adult manage their own flat, and a service that treats them alike does neither well. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We take it as a floor rather than a credential, and we ask the people we visit how we are doing, acting on the small critical answers rather than the kind general ones.

We work with older people, with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, with people who have mental health needs, with younger adults and with people affected by alcohol or drug misuse. We should be open about our last inspection. The Care Quality Commission rated us requires improvement overall. We have not tried to explain it away. The work since has gone into the things that affect people directly, which are getting the right worker to the right person reliably, recording and administering medication properly, and making sure that when somebody raises a concern it reaches a manager quickly and is answered rather than lost. What we are trying to do has not changed. Support is planned with the person, in a form they understand, and covers what they want to be doing as much as the help they need. For many of the people we support that means making independent living workable, from cooking and budgeting to keeping a tenancy going and getting to work or college. Where somebody is working on their relationship with alcohol or drugs, we support the plan they have chosen rather than lecture them. Please get in touch to discuss support, and ask us about the inspection directly.

We are Bluebird Care (Sutton Coldfield and Birmingham East), a home care agency supporting people in their own homes across the area. We work with older people and younger adults, including those living with dementia, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability and people with a visual or hearing impairment. Our starting point is the life somebody already has rather than a list of what we could provide. What does an ordinary day look like, what has become hard work, and what does the person want to carry on managing themselves. The visits are built from those answers and reviewed as circumstances change, because they usually do. Continuity is where most of our effort goes. The same carers attending the same households is harder to organise than people assume and it improves care more than anything else. A carer who knows somebody spots a change early, and that early notice is often what stops a small difficulty becoming a crisis. We keep families informed and work alongside GPs and community teams. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating.

Priority Plus provides care and support in people's own homes across Birmingham. We take on a wide range of needs, and each arrangement begins with a proper conversation about what the person wants their day to look like rather than with a standard package. For older people we help with personal care, medication, meals, housework, shopping and getting out and about, and we notice and raise the changes that are easy to overlook. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers visiting, follow the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about in a home that is known by heart. We support adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, where the emphasis is on independence and on communicating in the way that suits the person, and adults with mental health needs, where reliability and respect do most of the good. We help people with a physical disability to move safely and manage at home, and where there is sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate. We also support people living with eating disorders, working alongside the health professionals involved and without judgement at mealtimes or afterwards. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments. Our staff are trained for the people they actually visit, and we match care workers to households sensibly, including language where we can. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have learning disabilities and autism, with people managing mental health conditions and with people who have physical disabilities or a visual or hearing impairment. Because the people we support differ so much from one another, we do not have a house style of care. What we have is a way of starting, which is to ask plenty of questions and listen properly to the answers. What does a good day look like now. What has become difficult. What help would be welcome and what would feel like somebody taking over. Who else should be involved, and who should not. From there our carers help with personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and getting out into the community. We keep the group of carers visiting each household small, and we review arrangements as circumstances change rather than leaving a plan to go stale. • Home Care

We provide care at home in Birmingham, supporting older people, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities, autistic people, people with physical disabilities and people with visual or hearing impairments. Needs that varied cannot be met from a standard package, so we ask before we plan. For an older person, help often centres on personal care, medication, meals and keeping the house manageable. For a younger adult it is more likely to be about independence: running a home, getting to work or college, handling money and keeping appointments. Where somebody is living with dementia, a familiar and unhurried carer does more good than anything written down. We put real effort into continuity, sending the same carers to the same households wherever the rota allows. It spares people from explaining themselves repeatedly and means somebody is likely to notice when a person is unwell, in pain or unusually withdrawn. Where sight or hearing is poor, small habits matter: saying who you are on coming in, speaking clearly and leaving things where they were put. Our staff are trained for the needs they are asked to meet and have senior colleagues they can reach when a situation is unclear. Southern Care provides care and support to people in their own homes across Birmingham. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia and with people who have physical disabilities. Most people come to us at a turning point. A fall, a spell in hospital, a diagnosis, or the gradual recognition that managing alone has become harder than it was. The question is rarely whether help is needed. It is how much, of what kind, and given in what manner so that it feels like support rather than a loss of independence. We start with the day as it stands and what has become difficult, then build the visits around that. Personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and help to get out and stay connected are all part of it. We aim for consistency of carers, and we expect our staff to raise concerns promptly rather than assume somebody else has noticed the same thing. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating. We say so plainly and are glad to answer questions about how we work before anything is agreed.

We are Aspects Care, based in Birmingham, and we provide care in people's own homes across the city. We support older people, including many living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Because that range is broad, we do not begin from a fixed offer. We begin with the person, in their own home, asking how the day actually runs, what has become difficult, what they want to keep doing themselves, and where help would genuinely help. The support plan comes out of that conversation and is revised as circumstances change. In practice that might mean personal care, a prompt and a check with medication, meals cooked and eaten with company, help getting safely about the house, support to get out to work, college or the shops, or reliable company for somebody who has become isolated. For autistic people especially, predictability matters a great deal, so changes are explained in advance and staffing is kept steady where we can. Birmingham is a city of many communities, and we think care works better when it fits somebody's own habits, food and customs rather than asking them to fit ours. We ask about that at the outset. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Ring us if you would like to talk it through.

My Door Care supports people in their own homes across Birmingham. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have learning disabilities and autism and with people who have physical disabilities. Our work happens in other people's houses, which sets the terms of it. The person we visit is at home and we are there by invitation. What time the day starts, how the kitchen is arranged, what help is welcome and what would feel like interference are theirs to decide. Support ranges from a single call that makes the morning manageable to several visits a day covering personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and getting out of the house. We try to send the same small group of carers to each person, because trust takes time to build and because familiar staff are the ones who notice a change early enough for it to matter. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission and have not yet been given an overall rating. We would rather say so openly and answer questions about how we recruit, train and supervise our carers.

Passion 4 Care provides support at home to adults across Birmingham. The people we work with include older people who need help to stay in their own homes, adults living with dementia, people with a learning disability, autistic adults, people living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people with a visual or hearing impairment and younger adults who need support to live independently. Those are very different kinds of support and we do not pretend a single approach covers them. For older people and people living with dementia, the priority is usually continuity and reliability: the same carers, arriving when they said they would, allowed enough time to do things properly rather than against the clock. For younger adults and people with a learning disability, it is more often about independence, whether that means cooking, handling money, getting to work or college, or keeping up with friends. Birmingham is a large and varied city and the people we visit come from many different backgrounds. That shapes practical things such as the food somebody wants and the language they are most comfortable in, and we treat it as part of the work. Support is agreed with the person, and changed when their circumstances change rather than at the next convenient date. If you are arranging care at home in Birmingham, please get in touch and we will talk it through.

SA Care provides care at home for people across Birmingham. We support people in the place they know best, with as much or as little help as they need, from a single call each morning through to several visits a day. For older people we help with washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, meals and drinks, laundry, shopping and keeping the home comfortable. We also help people get out of the house, which is often the first thing to slip and one of the most important to keep going, and we notice the quieter changes, a fading appetite or somebody less steady than they were, raising them early with the family or the doctor. For people living with dementia we keep the same care workers going into the same homes wherever the rota allows, work with the routine the household already has and avoid moving things about. We support adults with mental health needs, where reliability and respect do most of the good, and people with a physical disability who need help to move safely. Where somebody has sight or hearing loss we adapt how we communicate and always say who we are and what we are doing. Younger adults are supported around their own commitments. Our staff reflect the city we work in and we match care workers to households sensibly. Please ring us to talk it through.

We provide care in people's own homes across Birmingham. Our aim is to support people to live where they want to live, with help that arrives when it should and is given by carers they know. We visit older people needing assistance with washing, dressing, meals and medication, and people living with dementia, where familiar faces and a settled routine count for a great deal. We support people living with mental health conditions, people with a physical disability, people whose sight or hearing is impaired and younger adults needing support at home. We also support people living with eating disorders, where mealtimes need patience and an approach agreed carefully with the person and their clinical team. Birmingham is a large and varied city and our team reflects that. Between us we speak a number of languages, and we will always try to match somebody with a carer they can talk to easily and feel comfortable with. Everything starts with a home visit and an honest conversation about what would genuinely help. The plan follows from that, written in plain language, and we review it as circumstances change. If you are arranging care at home anywhere in the city, please get in touch and we will come out and talk it through.

Pharos Supported provides support in people's own homes across Birmingham for adults with a learning disability, autistic adults and people with mental health needs. Many of those we support are younger adults, and our work is about helping somebody run their own life rather than taking it over. What support looks like depends entirely on the person. For one it may be help with cooking, shopping, laundry, bills and appointments. For another it may be support to use local transport, to get to a job or a college course, to join a club or to keep in touch with family. For someone else the important part is staff who understand how they communicate, what they find overwhelming and how they like the day to be ordered. For adults with mental health needs the most valuable things we offer are reliability, a calm manner and staff who know a person well enough to notice when something has shifted. We spend time getting to know a person before making plans, and we involve the people who know them best. Routines are respected, because a change that looks small to us can be a large thing for the person living it. Our staff are trained for the individuals they support. All Care In One provides care at home for people across Birmingham. We keep what we offer straightforward: reliable, respectful help in the place where somebody already lives, for as much or as little of the day as they need. Most of our work is with older people. We help with washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, meals and drinks, laundry, shopping and keeping the home comfortable. We also help people get out of the house, whether that is to an appointment, to the shops or simply for some air and a change of scene, and we make time for the conversation that goes with it rather than treating a visit as a list to be got through. We also support younger adults, arranging visits around work, study and family life rather than expecting somebody to plan a week around our rota. Keeping the same care workers going to the same households matters to us. Familiarity means somebody notices when things are not quite right, and it means the person being visited is not forever explaining themselves to a stranger. Care is arranged after a proper conversation with the person and, where they want it, their family, and reviewed as needs change. Please ring us if you would like to talk it through.

We also support younger adults, whose expectations of care are usually rather different from the standard picture. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was requires improvement. We would rather set that out ourselves than leave you to come across it elsewhere. We have taken the findings seriously, and our focus has gone to the things families actually notice, which is reliable timekeeping, accurate records and carers who know somebody well enough to spot when something has changed. MHC Nursing and Care provides home care to adults across Birmingham. We support older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autism, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, and people who have sight or hearing loss. Everything starts with a conversation about how your day currently runs and where it becomes difficult. From there the visits get built around you. That might be a short call in the morning to help with washing, dressing, medicines and breakfast, or support several times a day covering meals, the household, shopping and getting out and about. We would rather agree something we can reliably deliver than promise a pattern that collapses in the first busy week. Familiar faces make a great deal of difference, particularly for anybody living with dementia or for somebody who finds new people unsettling, so we keep the team around each person as small as we can manage and tell you when it has to change. Where somebody communicates in their own way, or has sight or hearing loss, we learn how they prefer to be approached rather than expecting them to adapt to us. Families are usually involved and often they are the ones who ring us first, worried and unsure where to begin. We keep relatives informed when the person wants that, we raise concerns early, and we are clear about what we can take on and what would be better met elsewhere.

Those we support include older adults, people living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Birmingham's mix of languages and backgrounds is a working detail for us rather than a line in a statement. Somebody cared for by a person they cannot easily talk to is isolated at home, and food that means nothing to them is not comfort. We ask about language, faith and diet at the start and match carers accordingly wherever we can. A range this wide only works if you plan one household at a time. What keeps an older person safe at home has little to do with what helps a young autistic adult run their own flat, and treating them alike serves neither. Our overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We treat it as the floor we build on. We ask the people we visit how we are doing and give the awkward answers more weight than the generous ones.

We are IHI Care, based in Birmingham, and we provide care in people's own homes across the city. The people we visit are a wide group: older people, many living with dementia, adults with learning disabilities and autistic people, adults living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, younger adults, and people living with an eating disorder. That range means a standard package would be little use, so we do not offer one. Every arrangement starts with a conversation in the person's own home about how the day actually runs, what has become difficult, what somebody still wants to manage alone, and what would make the biggest difference. From there we set the visits and revise them as things change. Support might be help with washing and dressing, a prompt and a check with medication, a meal cooked and eaten with company, help getting safely about the house, support to get out into the community, or several calls a day. For autistic people and for people living with an eating disorder in particular, predictability, patience and a complete absence of judgement matter more than anything else we could offer. We at Evergreen Care Provider are proud to deliver compassionate home care across Birmingham, supporting individuals to live safely, confidently and independently within the comfort of their own homes. As a trusted home care agency serving the wider Birmingham area and the West Midlands, we bring personalised support directly to those who need it most. Operating throughout the B postcode area, our team travels across Birmingham to reach residents in their own familiar surroundings. We believe that home is where people feel most themselves, surrounded by treasured belongings, cherished memories and the routines that bring comfort. Rather than asking individuals to adapt to a new environment, we shape our care around each person's household, lifestyle and preferences, making support feel natural and unobtrusive. Our care encompasses a broad range of specialisms, allowing us to walk alongside people at many different stages of life. We support older people who wish to remain independent at home, offering everything from companionship to more comprehensive daily assistance. For those living with dementia, we provide patient, understanding care that focuses on dignity, familiar routines and gentle reassurance, offering families the peace of mind that their loved one is in kind and knowledgeable hands. We also support adults with learning disabilities and autism, tailoring our approach to each individual's communication style, sensory needs and personal goals. Our mental health support is delivered with empathy and without judgement, helping people manage day to day life with encouragement and stability. For individuals with physical disabilities, we assist with mobility, personal care and the practical tasks that make independent living possible, whilst those with visual or hearing impairments benefit from thoughtful, adapted communication and support. We are equally experienced in caring for younger adults, recognising that meaningful care is never one size fits all and that every person deserves support shaped around their own aspirations. In practice, this means families can trust that a single provider can adapt as needs evolve. Whether a loved one requires a short daily visit, help with medication, assistance with personal care, or more involved support throughout the week, we work closely with families to build a plan that feels right. We understand that inviting carers into a home is a significant decision, and we approach every relationship with warmth, respect and consistency. Our commitment to quality is reflected in our Care Quality Commission rating of Good, awarded across all five inspection domains: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well led. This balanced recognition reassures families that the care we deliver is not only kind and responsive but also safe, effective and thoughtfully managed. It reflects our ongoing dedication to doing right by every person we support and to maintaining the standards that families rightly expect. If you are exploring home care options in Birmingham for yourself or someone you love, we would be delighted to hear from you. Choosing care can feel daunting, but you do not have to navigate it alone. Please get in touch with our team to discuss your needs, ask any questions and discover how we can help your family feel supported, reassured and truly cared for at home.

TheSignLife Project provides care and support in people's own homes across Birmingham. We work with older adults, younger adults, people living with dementia, people with learning disabilities and autistic people, people with physical disabilities, people with loss of sight or hearing, and people managing mental health conditions. Communication sits at the centre of our work. Where somebody is deaf, hard of hearing, or has lost some of their sight, the ordinary assumptions of a care visit stop holding, and a great deal that looks like confusion or reluctance is really a failure to be understood. We adapt how we approach and announce ourselves, how we get attention, and which method we use, and we take that as seriously as any practical task. We should also be open about our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission, which is requires improvement. We would rather say so plainly. We know the areas identified and we have a plan of work under way covering training and supervision, our record keeping and how we involve families, and we are happy to go through it with anyone considering us. The practical support carries on meanwhile: personal care, medication, meals, getting out and household tasks. Please contact us and ask us anything.

    • Home Care

Inn Care provides care and support in people's own homes across Birmingham. We work with older adults, with younger adults, and with people living with physical disabilities. We keep our remit fairly narrow on purpose, because it lets us do the work properly rather than spreading ourselves thin. What we offer is help with washing and dressing, with medication, with preparing meals and seeing that they are actually eaten, with shopping and laundry, with getting out to appointments, and with the practical business of keeping a household going. Where we support younger adults and people with physical disabilities the emphasis shifts. The aim there is not managing decline but removing obstacles, so that somebody can get to work, keep a home running, and do what anybody else would be doing. We do the parts that genuinely need doing for a person and leave the rest alone. Birmingham is a big city and we cover a fair part of it, but we plan rotas so that carers are not sprinting between calls. A hurried visit helps nobody. Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to discuss support at home.

    • Home Care

We provide supported living and care at home across Birmingham. Those we work with include older adults, adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss and younger adults. Supported living only works if the support genuinely steps back as somebody becomes more able. We plan for that from the outset and review it honestly, because a service whose own role never shrinks has stopped doing this properly. Birmingham is a city of many languages and backgrounds, and we treat that as a working detail rather than a line in a statement. Somebody cared for by a person they cannot easily talk to is isolated at home, so we ask at the outset and match staff where we can. Being predictable matters throughout. Turning up where we said, when we said, and explaining changes well in advance rather than springing them on people. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission, and we would rather state that plainly. Ask us how we recruit, train and supervise our staff, and judge us on what the people we already support say about us.

We are Care2Home, and we provide care and support to adults in their own homes across Birmingham. We work with people of all ages and build each package around the individual rather than offering something fixed. Our support covers older people who need help with personal care, medication, meals and shopping, and adults living with dementia, where a familiar face arriving at a predictable time achieves more than any technique. We support adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults, people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. Many of those we support are younger adults who want help that steps back as they take on more themselves. Everything starts with a visit at home and a proper conversation, with family or an advocate present if that is wanted. The plan is written with the person, it records what matters to them and not only which tasks need doing, and it is reviewed when circumstances change. Birmingham is a large and varied city, so we ask about language, faith, food and household customs rather than assuming, and we match care workers thoughtfully where we can. Our care workers are recruited with full checks and references, trained before working alone and properly supervised. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are Express Care at Home, and we provide care and support to adults in their own homes across Birmingham. Our visits range from a single short call each day through to several hours of support, arranged to fit the person's routine rather than ours. We support people living with mental ill health, where a routine that holds and somebody dependable turning up can matter as much as any clinical input, and we work alongside community mental health colleagues so that our support fits with the rest of a person's care. We support people with physical disabilities, and there we put real effort into the practical detail, because equipment, transfers, seating and how somebody prefers to be assisted are what decide how much independence they actually have. We also support people living with sight or hearing loss, where announcing ourselves clearly, describing what we are doing and giving information in a usable form is part of the job. Every package starts with a visit and a proper conversation at home. The plan is written with the person, records how they want things done, and is reviewed rather than filed away. • Home Care

Limitless Home Care is a home care agency in Sutton Coldfield, supporting adults in their own homes across the area. We work with older people and with younger adults. What happens on a visit depends entirely on the person. For some it is help to wash, dress and get the day started, which is enough to make the rest of the day possible. For others it is several calls covering medication, meals, help to move safely about the house, shopping and getting to appointments. Our view is that care at home should fit around a life that already exists rather than replace it. People have their own routines, their own households and clear opinions about what they want help with and what they would rather keep doing themselves, even when it takes longer. We ask first, agree the detail with the person and anyone they want involved, and write it down in ordinary language so that nobody is guessing. We keep visiting teams small, because familiarity is what turns a visit into care rather than a task being completed and logged. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are arranging support at home locally, please get in touch and we will come out and discuss it.

    • Home Care

We are Scarlet Care, and we support adults in their own homes across Birmingham. We work with a broader range of people than many agencies, which is deliberate, because needs seldom arrive in one tidy category. We help older people with personal care, medication, meals and shopping, and we support adults living with dementia, where familiarity and a steady routine do most of the work. We support people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and people living with sight or hearing loss. We also support adults recovering from eating disorders and people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use, working closely with the clinical teams involved in their care, and younger adults building the confidence to run their own household. Supporting that range properly means being specific rather than general. Each package starts with a visit at home and a plan written with the person, and where risk is part of the picture we talk about it openly and look for ways to support somebody safely rather than simply saying no. Birmingham is a varied city, so we ask about language, faith and food instead of assuming. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission. Please get in touch to talk it through.

The help covers washing and dressing, medication, preparing meals and seeing they are eaten, shopping, laundry, getting out to appointments, and the general running of a household. For a good many of the people we visit, the conversation is as important as anything on the task list. Birmingham is a big city and we cover a fair part of it, but we plan rotas so that carers are not sprinting between calls. A hurried visit helps nobody, and the things that matter most only get noticed when there is time to look. Your Support is a home care agency in Birmingham, supporting people in their own homes across the city. The name is meant literally. The support belongs to the person receiving it, and our job is to arrange it around their life rather than ask them to fit around ours. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have a learning disability, with autistic people, with people who have mental health needs, with people who have physical disabilities and with people who have sight or hearing loss. A visit may involve personal care, support with medication, preparing meals, help with mobility and moving safely about the home, household tasks and shopping, company, or support to get out to appointments, work or something a person simply enjoys. We begin by listening. We ask what time someone likes to wake, what they enjoy eating, what they want help with and what they would far rather manage themselves, and the plan is written down plainly and reviewed when needs change. We keep the same small team visiting each person wherever we can, and our carers are trained for the particular needs of the people they see. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are registered with and regulated by them, and we are building the planning, training and oversight that a good rating properly requires.

    • Home Care

Alvaran Care provides care in people's own homes across Birmingham. Our purpose is to make staying at home workable, so that people keep their own surroundings, their own routines and their own sense of being in charge of the day. We support older adults with the tasks that have become harder over time: personal care, medication, preparing meals, keeping on top of the house and getting out safely when they want to. We also support people who have a visual or hearing impairment. That shapes a good deal of how we work, from how we announce ourselves and speak, to how we describe what we are about to do, to how we make sure a person is part of a conversation rather than the subject of one. We support younger adults too, and we plan their care around work, study, family and independence rather than around a standard timetable. We aim to keep a small and consistent team around each person, because a familiar care worker notices the small changes that matter and because most people would simply rather not explain themselves afresh every week. We do not currently hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. If you are considering care at home for yourself or a relative, please get in touch and ask us how we would approach it.

Longbridge Village provides care and support to older people and younger adults living in their own homes in Birmingham. What we offer is help at home for people who are finding daily life harder than it used to be. That covers washing and dressing, prompting and administering medication, preparing meals and seeing that they are actually eaten, shopping, laundry, getting out to appointments, and the general practical business of keeping a household going. It also covers company, which is frequently the part that matters most to somebody living alone. We arrange visits around the day the person wants to have rather than the day that suits a rota. If somebody has always been up by seven, we do not ask them to start waiting until nine. Where we cannot do something, we say so plainly rather than promising and then disappointing. We keep the same small group of carers going to the same people, because a carer who knows somebody notices when something is quietly wrong. That range means there is no single way of working, and we plan each person's support individually. Birmingham is a city of many communities and language, food and faith are taken seriously here because they are part of who somebody is rather than preferences to be accommodated when convenient. Where we can, we match care workers and the people they visit thoughtfully. Support is agreed with the individual and with anyone they want involved, written in plain language and revisited as circumstances change. Nearly everybody we meet at a first visit says the same thing: they want to stay in their own home. Making that realistic for as long as it is safe and genuinely the better option is the whole of our purpose. In practice it means help to get up, washed and dressed in a way that leaves a person feeling like themselves, medication managed and recorded properly, meals actually cooked, help to move safely about a house that may no longer suit its occupant, and a reliable person turning up in a week that could otherwise hold very little. Birmingham is big and the traffic is unpredictable, so we plan rounds that can actually be achieved rather than ones that look efficient on paper. Being late is a failure, not an inconvenience. Continuity is the other thing we are stubborn about. A carer who knows somebody notices the untouched meal, the new bruise or the sudden quietness. A stranger notices nothing. For people living with dementia, that familiarity is also what keeps a visit calm. The Care Quality Commission has not yet given us an overall rating. Ring us and we will tell you plainly what we can and cannot do.

Home care in Birmingham gives people the option to stay in familiar surroundings while receiving the support they need with everyday life. Care Assura lists 319 home care agencies operating across the city, ranging from small independent teams to larger providers with multiple branches. The CQC ratings currently represented among these agencies include Good, Requires Improvement, Inadequate, and a number of services that are not yet rated, often because they are newly registered.

Arranging and funding home care in Birmingham

Before comparing agencies, it helps to understand what level of support is actually needed and how it will be funded. A structured plan usually begins with a formal assessment of care needs, followed by a conversation about costs and any contribution the local authority may make.

Arranging a care needs assessment

Anyone who feels they may need help at home can request a free care needs assessment from Birmingham City Council Adult Social Care, the body responsible for assessing eligibility and arranging funded support across the city. A social worker will look at daily tasks such as washing, dressing, preparing meals, managing medication, and moving around safely. The outcome sets out what kind of care is recommended and how many hours a week it should cover.

Financial assessment and local authority support

Where someone meets the eligibility threshold, Birmingham City Council will carry out a financial assessment to decide how much they should contribute. People with capital and savings above the national upper threshold usually fund their own care, while those with lower means may receive full or partial support. Direct payments are also available if you prefer to arrange care yourself rather than have the council commission it.

Typical cost context

Home care in Birmingham is generally charged by the hour, with rates influenced by the time of day, whether care is needed at weekends, and how complex the tasks are. Live in care carries a separate weekly fee. Ask for a written breakdown covering hourly rates, travel charges, cancellation terms, and any additional weekend or bank holiday costs before signing anything.

Choosing between home care agencies in Birmingham

With over three hundred agencies to consider, narrowing down the list means looking at more than price. Consistency of carers, the depth of training, and how the service responds when something goes wrong all matter as much as the headline rate.

CQC ratings and inspection history

The Care Quality Commission publishes reports on every registered agency. Among the Birmingham providers listed on Care Assura, examples of Good rated services include A Peel Ltd, Agape Healthcare Limited, All Care In One Ltd, Annix Care, Antoine Care LTD, and Bolingo Care Birmingham Branch. Others such as 24-7 Care Services, Blessed Hearts Home Care, and Care Packages UK Limited are currently rated Requires Improvement, while Alliance Care Ltd holds an Inadequate rating. Many newer agencies including Acire Care Birmingham and AH Home Care Birmingham are not yet rated, so ask directly about their approach to quality.

Questions to ask before you commit

Ask how the agency matches carers to clients, whether the same small team will visit each week, and how visits are covered when a regular carer is unwell or on leave. Check how care plans are written, reviewed, and shared with family, and how medication support is recorded. It is reasonable to ask about staff training, background checks, and whether the agency uses electronic monitoring so relatives can see when visits took place.

Signs of a well run service

A confident agency will welcome questions, provide a written contract, and offer a trial period. Look for clear complaints procedures, named office contacts, and evidence that carers have time to travel between visits without cutting calls short.

Can Birmingham City Council fund home care for someone in Birmingham?

Yes, Birmingham City Council can contribute towards home care costs where a person is assessed as having eligible needs and their finances fall below the national capital threshold. A financial assessment looks at income and savings to decide how much you should pay yourself. Support may come as commissioned care, a personal budget, or a direct payment that you use to arrange care independently. People above the threshold usually pay privately but can still ask the council for advice.

How do I arrange a care needs assessment in Birmingham?

You can request an assessment directly through Birmingham City Council's adult social care service, either online, by phone, or with help from a GP or hospital discharge team. A social worker or assessor will discuss daily routines, health conditions, and any risks around the home. The outcome is a written care and support plan that sets out recommended hours and the type of help required. There is no charge for the assessment itself.

What should I ask when meeting a home care agency in Birmingham?

Ask how carers are matched, whether you will see the same small team regularly, and how the agency covers visits during holidays or sickness. Check how care plans are written and reviewed, and whether family members can see visit logs. Enquire about staff training, medication procedures, background checks, and how complaints are handled. It is also sensible to ask for a written contract that sets out hourly rates, notice periods, and any extra charges.

Which providers in Birmingham offer home care?

Care Assura currently lists 319 home care agencies covering Birmingham, from small local teams to well established organisations. Examples with a Good CQC rating include A Peel Ltd, Agape Healthcare Limited, All Seasons Care Limited, Annix Care, and Bolingo Care Birmingham Branch. Other agencies such as 24-7 Care Services and Care Packages UK Limited are rated Requires Improvement, and many newer services are not yet rated. Use the directory to filter by rating and location to find providers suited to your area.

What is the difference between home care and a home care agency providing nursing support?

General home care focuses on personal care and daily living tasks such as washing, dressing, meal preparation, and companionship, delivered by trained care workers. Home care that includes nursing tasks requires input from a registered nurse or a district nursing service arranged through the NHS, for things like wound care, injections, or managing complex conditions. Some agencies coordinate closely with community nurses, while others provide only personal care. If clinical needs are significant, it is worth checking whether a nursing home or NHS Continuing Healthcare might be more appropriate.

How far in advance should I start looking for home care in Birmingham?

Where possible, begin looking four to six weeks before care is likely to be needed, particularly if you are waiting on a hospital discharge or a change in circumstances. This allows time for a care needs assessment, a financial assessment, and a proper comparison of agencies. Urgent situations can often be handled more quickly, and some Birmingham agencies accept new clients within a few days. Starting early also gives room for a trial period so you can adjust the arrangement if it is not the right fit.
