About EnhanceAble Space
EnhanceAble Space is a residential care home in Epsom, Surrey, supporting adults with learning disabilities and autistic adults. Most of the people living here are younger adults, and we approach the place as their home rather than as a service they have been placed into. That distinction runs through everything. People arrange their own rooms as they wish. People are involved in shopping, cooking and the running of the house to whatever extent they want. People go out to work, to college, to clubs and to see family, and our part is to make those things possible, not to fill a timetable on somebody else's behalf. Support is worked out individually and reviewed with the person. Communication gets particular attention here, and we use whatever works for each person, whether that is speech, signing, symbols, objects of reference or simply knowing someone well enough to understand what they are telling you. Without that, choice is not really choice. We can also offer short respite stays. These give a family carer a proper break, and they let somebody spend time here before any longer decision is made. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please contact us if you would like to visit and see the house.
