About Burgh Heath Lodge
Burgh Heath Lodge is a residential care home in Epsom, Surrey, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autistic adults and people living with mental health conditions. Respite stays are available alongside permanent places. Our most recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission rated us good overall. Because the people who live here have quite different needs, we plan around individuals rather than running everything to one pattern. Residents choose when to get up, what to eat, how to spend the day and how their support is given. Rooms belong to the people living in them and we encourage everyone to make theirs their own. Communication is where good support starts. Where someone uses signs, symbols, technology or their own way of showing us what they need, we learn it and record it clearly so a colleague new to a shift understands rather than guesses. Where change is unsettling we prepare properly and give notice. Where there is a risk we think it through with the person rather than defaulting to a refusal. Mental health support here is practical. A steady routine for those who find one helpful, somewhere quiet to go when things feel too much, help with appointments and medication, and staff who notice early when someone is not themselves. Families, social workers and health colleagues are closely involved, and we will say plainly when we think something is not working. Please get in touch if you would like to visit.
