About Mill View

Mill View is a nursing home in East Grinstead, West Sussex, with qualified nurses on duty at every hour. We care for older people whose health needs have outgrown residential care or support at home, for people living with dementia, for adults with physical disabilities, for people with a learning disability or autism and for those managing mental ill health. Respite stays are available too. Clinical care here covers medication, wound care, continence, nutrition, mobility and the monitoring of long term conditions, and we work alongside local health professionals so that changes are noticed early. Doing that properly is what allows ordinary life to carry on, which is the point of it. Residents keep their own furniture, photographs, routines and opinions. People choose when to get up, where to spend the afternoon, what they want to eat and whose company they want. Where somebody needs longer for personal care or for moving about, they get it. Our range of residents means the house cannot run to one pattern, so we learn each person individually, including how they communicate and what settles them when things become difficult. For residents living with dementia we keep the setting calm and predictable and take the trouble to learn who they have always been. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are considering nursing care for a relative, please come and see us and ask us the difficult questions.
