About Us
We are a nursing home in Lincoln, caring for older people who need the support of registered nurses alongside help with daily life. Nurses are on duty day and night, which means that medication, wound care, pain relief and the monitoring of long term conditions all happen here, at the time they are needed.
What we try to avoid is any sense that life narrows once somebody needs nursing care. People here choose when to get up, what to eat, where to sit and who to spend time with. Some enjoy the company of a busy lounge, others much prefer their own room, and both are respected without anyone having to justify themselves.
We take trouble over the small parts of the day, since those are what a person actually lives in. A cup of tea made the way somebody likes it, a favourite programme on at the right hour, hair done properly, a chair by the window.
Families are welcome, and we keep them informed as a matter of habit rather than only when something is wrong.
We also offer respite and short stays, which can help after a hospital admission or when a family carer needs a rest.
Our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection rated the home Good. If you are considering nursing care in Lincoln, please arrange a visit and see the place for yourself.
