About Eastholme Care Home

Eastholme is a nursing home in Lincoln supporting older people whose health needs go beyond what residential care can safely cover. Registered nurses are on site, which means wounds, catheters, diabetes, continence needs and end of life care can all be managed here without someone being moved somewhere unfamiliar at the hardest possible moment. A good number of the people who live with us are also living with dementia. We plan the day so that it holds together, with familiar staff, meals at recognisable times and enough quiet in the building for people to think. We take care over the environment itself, because noise, glare and clutter can unsettle someone long before anyone notices the cause. For residents living with a physical disability, we look closely at seating, positioning, equipment and how someone gets from one part of the home to another without it becoming a daily battle. We also take respite bookings, including short stays after a spell in hospital when someone is not quite ready to go home. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission was good. Choosing a nursing home is rarely a happy decision and it is often made in a hurry. We try to make the process as clear as we can, so ask us directly about staffing, about how we handle nights and about what happens when someone becomes more unwell. You are welcome to visit and see the home on an ordinary day.
