About Us
We at Ashley Court are proud to offer dedicated nursing home care in the heart of Poole, providing a warm and welcoming environment where older people, younger adults, and those living with dementia can feel truly at home.
Nestled within the BH postcode area of Poole, our home benefits from the gentle charm of this well loved coastal town in the Bournemouth, Christchurch and Poole area. The setting offers residents the calm surroundings of the South West coast, combined with easy access for visiting family and friends. We have created interior spaces designed to feel comfortable and homely, with communal areas that encourage companionship as well as quieter corners for those moments when peaceful reflection is preferred.
Our specialisms reflect the breadth of experience within our team. We provide nursing care for individuals whose health needs require clinical oversight, ensuring that medical support is delivered with dignity and compassion around the clock. For those living with dementia, we take a person centred approach, focusing on the individual behind the diagnosis, honouring life stories, preferences and routines so that each day feels familiar and reassuring. We also welcome younger adults with nursing needs, recognising that meaningful care must be tailored to the life stage and aspirations of each person we support.
Respite care is another important part of what we offer. We understand that family carers give so much of themselves, and sometimes a short stay with us can provide much needed rest whilst offering a loved one continued attention, engagement and companionship in safe hands. Whether the stay is planned in advance or arranged during a more urgent moment, we aim to make the transition smooth and worry free.
Families often ask what quality assurance looks like in practice, and we are pleased to share that our most recent Care Quality Commission inspection awarded us an overall rating of Good. This positive rating was reflected across every domain assessed, including Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well led. For families, this consistency offers meaningful reassurance that the standards of safety, kindness, leadership and responsiveness they hope to find are being delivered day in and day out. We view this rating not as a final destination but as a foundation from which we continue to learn, grow and refine the care we offer.
Choosing a nursing home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we recognise the trust involved in that choice. If you are exploring options for a relative in Poole or the wider Dorset area, we warmly invite you to get in touch with Ashley Court. We would be delighted to answer your questions, listen to your loved one's story, and help you understand whether our home might be the right fit. Every enquiry is treated with care, discretion and understanding, because we know how much love sits behind each conversation.
