About Us
Oliver Court is a residential care home in Great Yarmouth, supporting adults, including younger adults, who live with mental health conditions. We offer a settled place to live and support that stays calm and consistent whether the week has been a good one or a hard one.
The people who live here are adults with their own histories and plans, and the home is run on that basis. Residents have a genuine say in how things work, what we eat and how their support is provided. We encourage people to keep hold of the ordinary parts of life, including cooking, managing money, using local facilities, seeing friends and family, and working towards more independent living when that is what someone wants.
Support is agreed with each person and written down so that all of us are working to the same understanding. We work closely with community mental health teams, GPs and other professionals, and we make sure residents take part in those conversations rather than being talked about.
We also offer respite stays, which can provide stability when things at home have become difficult or give a family carer a break.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. You are welcome to visit and see how the home feels.
