About Us

Ealing House Residential Care Home is in Great Yarmouth, caring for older people who can no longer manage comfortably on their own. We keep the feel of a house rather than an institution, with people keeping their own routines, their own belongings and a real say in how the day is spent.

We support people living with dementia, where a steady and familiar routine is worth more than anything else we could offer, and people managing mental health conditions, where patience and continuity count for a great deal. Respite stays are available too, for people who need care for a short while and for family carers who need a genuine break.

Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of that and also clear about what it means. A rating reflects a point in time. What keeps a home good is the ordinary daily effort, knowing what each person likes for breakfast, noticing when somebody has gone quiet and ringing a family before they have to ring us. That is where our attention goes.

If you are considering a care home in this part of Norfolk, we would rather you came and saw the place than took our word for anything. Visitors are welcome at any reasonable hour.
