About Us

Medihands Healthcare provides a residential home in New Malden for younger adults and for people living with mental health conditions. We offer permanent places and shorter respite stays.

We are not a large institution and we do not try to run like one. People keep their own routines as far as they can, which means getting up when you wake rather than when a rota says so, and a day shaped around what a person actually wants from it. The support covers washing and dressing, medication, meals cooked here, and the practical things that become difficult when somebody is unwell.

Where people are managing mental health conditions we have found that a calm and predictable household achieves more than any particular intervention. Our staff tend to stay with us, which means people here are supported by faces they know, and that steadiness counts for a great deal when mood is unreliable. We do not treat a difficult week as a failure.

People are supported to get out, to keep up with the things they care about, and to stay connected to family and friends.

Our most recent rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please ring us if you would like to visit.
