About Tenby House

We are a nursing home in Worthing, caring for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with the ordinary parts of daily life. Nurses are on hand at every hour, so a change in somebody's condition is picked up early rather than allowed to build into something serious. Most of the people who live here are older. We support people living with dementia, where familiar staff and unhurried time matter more than any particular method, and people living with mental health needs, offering steady and patient company on the harder days rather than simply managing a diagnosis. We also care for people with a physical disability, working alongside therapists and community health teams so that equipment, positioning and comfort are properly considered, and people with a visual or hearing impairment, adjusting how we communicate so that nobody is shut out of their own day. Respite stays are available, whether that is a planned break for a family carer or a period of recovery after illness or a hospital admission. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We keep asking residents and their relatives what could be better, because the most useful feedback rarely arrives on an inspection day. If you would like to visit, meet the team and see how the home runs, please get in touch.
