About Tacolneston Lake
Tacolneston Lake is a nursing home in the countryside south of Norwich. Because we have qualified nurses on duty, we can care for people whose health needs are beyond what a residential home can safely manage, and we can usually go on caring for somebody as those needs grow rather than asking them to move again. We care for older people who need nursing support, including many living with dementia and many with physical disabilities, and we support people living with sight or hearing loss and some younger adults. Respite stays are available for people who need nursing care for a limited period or whose family carer needs a proper break. Clinically our attention goes where it counts: medication, skin integrity, nutrition and hydration, pain, safe moving and handling, and acting early when a condition is changing. We work closely with the GP practice and the community health teams who support the home. The setting helps more than you might expect. There is quiet, there are grounds that get used when the weather allows, and there is somewhere peaceful to sit with a visitor. People keep their own rooms and their own things, choose when to get up and what to eat, and families are welcome at any reasonable hour. We are registered with and regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Please contact us to arrange a proper look around.
