About Us
We are a nursing home in Borehamwood, caring for people who need qualified nursing support alongside help with the ordinary parts of daily life. Nurses are available at every hour, which means a change in somebody's condition is noticed and acted on quickly rather than left to develop into a crisis.
Most of the people who live here are older, and we also care for younger adults whose health needs mean nursing care is necessary. We support people living with dementia, and we build the day around the person rather than around a schedule, keeping familiar routines going and allowing time for things to happen at the right pace. We also care for people living with mental health needs, people with a physical disability, working alongside therapists so that equipment and comfort are properly thought out, and people with a visual or hearing impairment.
Respite stays are available, whether that is a planned break for a family carer who has been coping at home for a long stretch, or a period of recovery after illness or a hospital admission.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We would rather be told early and honestly when something has slipped, so we ask residents and families regularly and we act on it.
If you would like to look round, please get in touch and we will arrange a time.
