About Homecare

We at Surrey Homecare are proud to provide compassionate home care across Thames Ditton and the wider Surrey community, supporting people to live well and safely in the place they love most: their own home. Based in the heart of Thames Ditton, within the KT postcode area, our team is ideally positioned to reach families throughout this welcoming corner of Surrey. As a home care agency, we bring our support directly to your doorstep, whether that be a familiar family house, a quiet bungalow, or a flat filled with treasured memories. Remaining in a familiar environment, surrounded by personal belongings, neighbours, and routines, can make a profound difference to wellbeing, and our role is to make that possible with sensitivity and skill. Our care is shaped around the individual, never the other way around. We support older people who may need a helping hand with everyday tasks, companionship, or more comprehensive personal care as needs change over time. For those living with dementia, we offer patient, consistent support that prioritises dignity, gentle routine, and reassurance, helping both the person we care for and their loved ones to feel calmer and more confident about each day. We also support younger adults and people living with physical disabilities, recognising that good care at any age is about enabling independence, choice, and a meaningful life rather than simply attending to tasks. For individuals with learning disabilities or autism, our approach is built on understanding personal preferences, communication styles, and the things that bring comfort and joy, so that support feels respectful and empowering rather than intrusive. In practice, this means working closely with families to build a care plan that genuinely fits. It might involve a short daily visit to help with medication, washing, and breakfast, or longer periods of support throughout the week to assist with mobility, meals, household routines, and trips into the community. Whatever the level of involvement, our aim is the same: to be a reliable, friendly presence that families can trust and that residents look forward to seeing. Communication sits at the centre of everything we do. We keep relatives informed, listen carefully when circumstances change, and adapt our support so it continues to reflect what truly matters to the person receiving care. Many families come to us feeling worried or stretched thin, and part of our role is simply to ease that weight, offering steady, professional reassurance alongside practical help. The Care Quality Commission has rated Surrey Homecare as Good overall, with Good ratings across all five inspection domains: safe, effective, caring, responsive, and well led. This consistent picture reflects an organisation that takes its responsibilities seriously across every aspect of care delivery, from safeguarding and staff training through to leadership and the warmth shown to the people we support. For families weighing up their options, a Good rating across the board offers a meaningful layer of confidence that the standards expected of a quality care provider are being met day in, day out. If you are exploring home care for a parent, partner, relative, or for yourself, we would be delighted to hear from you. Choosing support at home is a deeply personal decision, and there is no pressure to have all the answers before getting in touch. A simple, friendly conversation is often the best starting point, allowing us to understand your situation, answer your questions, and explain how we might be able to help. Whatever stage you are at, Surrey Homecare is here to listen, to guide, and to walk alongside your family with kindness and care.
