About Boyce Care
We support autistic people and adults with a learning disability in their own homes in and around Ashford in Surrey. Our job is to provide the support that makes somebody's own life workable rather than to take that life over. What that looks like differs from person to person. For one it might be help with the parts of the week that are hardest alone, appointments, forms, shopping, keeping a tenancy running. For another it might be practical help with personal care and daily routines. For somebody else it might be mostly about getting out, doing things they want to do and having a person alongside who understands why a sudden change of plan is not a small matter. We take time to learn how somebody communicates, what they need from their surroundings, what tips a manageable day into an unmanageable one and what helps when that happens. We agree how we work with the person themselves wherever possible, and with families and other professionals where that is what they want. Predictability counts for a great deal in this work, so we are careful about who visits and about giving notice before anything changes. We would rather be honest at the start about what we can and cannot provide than take on support we could not do well. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. If you are looking for support at home in this area, for yourself, a family member or somebody you work with, please get in touch.
