About Tendacare
Tendacare supports people in their own homes in Ashtead and the surrounding parts of Surrey. We work with older people and younger adults, with people living with dementia, with people who have physical disabilities and with people who have a visual or hearing impairment. Home care is a trade in small reliabilities. Arriving when we said. Knowing that the back door sticks and the cat must not get out. Remembering that someone takes their tablets with juice rather than water. None of that appears in a brochure, and all of it is what makes the difference between support that works and support that people put up with. We help with personal care, medication, meals, household tasks and getting out of the house, and we plan each arrangement with the person and whoever they want involved. We keep the group of carers visiting a household small, because familiarity is both a comfort and a safeguard. A carer who knows somebody well is the one who spots that they are unsteadier than last week, or eating less, and says something before it becomes an emergency. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. We are happy to talk through what support might look like, with no obligation either way.
