About Crossroads Care
We provide care in people's own homes across Surrey, working out of Leatherhead. A great deal of our work is with family carers, and that shapes how we think about the job. Caring for a relative at home is demanding in ways that are easy to underestimate, and it rarely stops. What we offer is practical support in the house so that the person being cared for is properly looked after and the person doing the caring gets some time that is genuinely their own, whether that is a few hours a week or something more substantial. In practice our visits cover personal care, help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, company and keeping an eye on things, arranged around what the household already does rather than replacing it. We start with a visit and an unhurried conversation with everybody involved, because the arrangement has to work for the carer as well as the person being cared for. Plans are reviewed as circumstances change. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please get in touch if you would like to talk it through.
