Safe
Inspectors found that risks to people's safety were assessed on an ongoing basis, and steps were taken to keep people safe. Staff knew their responsibilities to protect people from abuse. Medicines were managed safely and checked regularly. Accidents and incidents were recorded and reviewed so that lessons were learned.
Effective
Inspectors found that people's healthcare needs were recorded. Any concerns about them were acted on promptly.
Caring
People told inspectors they were treated with kindness and that their independence was encouraged. Inspectors found staff aimed to get things right for people. Staff helped people keep in touch with those close to them and respected their privacy.
Responsive
People told inspectors the service responded promptly to changes in their care needs or scheduled visits. Staff were matched with people, and people were given time to get to know new staff. People said their choices were respected and staff did not place restrictions on them.
Well-led
Inspectors found a focused management team who made sure staff understood the values of the service. Staff said they felt supported and valued. Quality checking systems were described as robust and designed to work well as the service grows.
