About Us
Surrey Heath and Farnham Area Reablement is a home care agency based in Camberley, supporting adults in their own homes.
Our work is short term and aimed at helping somebody get back on their feet rather than at maintaining them. After an illness, a fall or a spell in hospital, a great deal can often be recovered if the support is pointed that way. In practice that means encouraging a person to manage what they can, even when it is slower and less tidy than doing it for them, and withdrawing gradually as they get stronger.
That can feel odd at first. Families sometimes expect us to do more than we do, and we explain early that standing back at the right moment is the point rather than a shortcoming.
We work with older people and younger adults, people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people with a physical disability or a sensory impairment, and people managing a mental health condition.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good.
