About Carers With Care

Here at Carers With Care, we provide home care to people living in Camberley and the surrounding areas of Surrey. Our work centres on supporting individuals in the place where they feel most comfortable and at ease — their own home — and we take that responsibility seriously. We work with a wide range of people, including older adults, younger adults, and individuals living with dementia, learning disabilities, autism, visual or hearing impairments, eating disorders, and those managing recovery from alcohol or drug misuse. We do not believe in a one size fits all approach. Every person who comes to us has their own routines, preferences, and way of doing things, and our role is to fit around that rather than the other way around. Our team is trained to provide care that is both skilled and genuinely attentive. Whether someone needs support for a few hours a week or more regular day to day assistance, we work closely with the individual and their family to make sure the care feels right from the outset and continues to meet their needs as things change over time. We are proud to hold a Good rating from the Care Quality Commission, which reflects the consistent effort our team puts in to making sure people are safe, well supported, and treated with respect. It is not something we take for granted, and we continue to reflect on our practice and look for ways to do better. If you are considering home care for yourself or someone you care about, we would welcome the chance to have a straightforward conversation about how we might be able to help. There is no pressure and no obligation — just an honest discussion about what is possible and what might suit you best.

What the inspectors found

A plain English summary of the Care Quality Commission inspection behind the current rating of Carers With Care Limited. Report published 3 January 2019.

  • 9 November 2018 (announced inspection)

Safe

Inspectors found staff were trained to keep people safe from abuse and knew how to report concerns. Risks to people were assessed and management plans were in place. There were enough experienced staff to cover care visits, staff were vetted before they started work, and staff supported people to take their medicines safely.

Effective

Inspectors found staff were trained and supported in their roles. People received the support they needed to eat and drink and to access healthcare services. Staff understood their responsibilities under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and obtained consent before supporting people.

Caring

Inspectors found people received care from staff who were compassionate. People and their relatives were involved in planning care, and people were encouraged to keep their independence. Staff respected people's privacy and dignity, and people were supported by staff they knew.

Responsive

Inspectors found people's needs were assessed before they started using the service. Care plans were reviewed and updated, and care was personalised to each person. Information was provided in different formats, care records covered cultural and religious needs, and people knew how to complain.

Well-led

There was a registered manager in post, and the provider carried out checks and audits to monitor the service. At the previous inspection on 28 March 2017, CQC found a breach of regulation relating to good governance. At this inspection, inspectors found the required improvements had been made and the regulations were met.
