About Yourlife

Yourlife provides care and support in people's own homes and apartments in Bagshot and the surrounding part of Surrey. We visit older people, people living with dementia, people with physical disabilities, people living with sight or hearing loss, and younger adults. Our aim is to make staying in your own home genuinely workable rather than nominally possible. That means helping with whichever parts of the week have become difficult, and deliberately not taking over the parts that have not, because independence quietly removed for the sake of tidiness is very hard to recover. In practice the work covers help with washing and dressing, medication prompted or given, meals, moving safely about the home, laundry, shopping, appointments and time to talk without hurrying. Some people want one visit a week, others need several calls a day. For people living with dementia we keep familiar carers coming at familiar times wherever the rota allows, and we follow the routines already in place rather than substituting neater ones of our own. Where sight or hearing loss is part of things, we get the small habits right: announcing ourselves, leaving furniture where it lives, checking that aids and glasses are working. We have not yet been given an overall rating by the Care Quality Commission. Please ask us openly about our staffing and training.
