About Us
Holistic Healthcare supports people in their own homes in Leigh on Sea, Southend on Sea and the surrounding area. We work with older people, younger adults, people living with dementia and people with physical disabilities.
Most people come to us because something has shifted. There has been a fall, or a spell in hospital, or the family has slowly realised that things at home are becoming harder than anyone wants to admit. We start by listening. How does the day run at the moment? What has become difficult? What can still be managed alone, and what would make the biggest difference? The support we propose comes out of those answers rather than out of a standard list.
Visits may involve help to get up, wash and dress, prompting or assisting with medication, preparing meals and encouraging somebody to eat and drink properly, help to move safely about the home, laundry and shopping, or getting out to appointments and into the town. For people living with dementia we keep the carers and the timings as consistent as possible, because familiarity does more good than anything else we can offer.
We agree the plan with the person, put it in writing and review it as things change. Our carers are trained for the needs they will meet and are properly supervised, and families can always reach somebody who knows the situation.
