About Us

Herts Healthcare supports adults in their own homes across Potters Bar and the surrounding parts of Hertfordshire.

Our visits cover the practical work that lets someone stay where they want to be. Personal care, medication, meals, laundry and shopping, and support to get out to appointments, to work or simply into the day. How often we come and how long we stay should follow what a person actually needs rather than what is convenient to schedule.

We support older people and those living with dementia, where familiar carers and a steady routine do more good than anything else we could offer. We work with adults who have a learning disability or autism, building support around communication, predictability and independence rather than around tasks. We support people living with a physical disability, where equipment and layout usually decide how much someone can manage themselves, and we work with younger adults whose support has to fit around study, work and friends.

We keep staffing as consistent as we can, because someone who sees a different carer every week has to start again each time, and that is not much of a service.
