About Us

Katherine Harriet provides care in people's own homes in Hereford and across the surrounding countryside. Our visits cover the practical business of getting through the day: help to get up and go to bed, washing and dressing, prompting and support with medication, meals, shopping and housework. They also cover the parts that are harder to put on a rota, such as company, encouragement and simply being someone reliable who turns up.

This is a rural county and we plan accordingly. Travel time is built into our rounds so that carers are not cutting visits short, and we would rather tell someone honestly that we cannot cover a particular time than agree to it and let them down.

We keep the group of carers around each household small, because personal care is far easier to accept from someone you know. Our carers are asked to notice changes and report them the same day so that we can involve the family or the GP early.
