About Us
We are Hands Care Agency, a home care agency supporting people in Ross on Wye and the surrounding parts of Herefordshire. Ours is a rural area, and we know how much it matters here that someone reliable actually arrives, on time, at the door of a house that may be some distance from anywhere. We plan our rounds so that the people we visit are not left waiting and wondering.
We support older people who need help with washing and dressing, medication, meals, shopping or keeping on top of the house. We work with people living with mental ill health, with people who have a physical disability and with people who have a visual or hearing impairment, adapting how we work and how we communicate to suit the individual. We also support younger adults, where the aim is generally practical assistance that makes work, study and everyday plans possible rather than support that takes over.
Every arrangement starts with a visit and a proper conversation about what would genuinely help. We agree the detail, write it down clearly and review it when circumstances change. We keep the team around each person small so the face at the door is familiar, and because a care worker who visits regularly notices a change in appetite, mood or steadiness long before it becomes a crisis.
