About Ourway Care
We are a home care agency based in St Austell, supporting people in their own homes across the surrounding part of Cornwall. We work with older people, with younger adults and with people living with physical disabilities, and the aim in each case is the same: enough practical help for someone to stay where they want to be. What we do depends on what is needed. Often it is help with washing and dressing, support with medication, a hand with meals and shopping, or help to get out of the house and to appointments. Sometimes it is company and a regular point of contact for someone who lives alone. We agree the arrangement with the person first, and we expect to adjust it as things change rather than leaving it as it was first set. Rural Cornwall brings its own complications, with distances and journeys that make reliability both harder and more important. We would rather be straight with you about what we can cover than promise visits we cannot keep. We do not yet hold an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. We are happy to answer any question that raises and to talk you through how we work. If you are weighing up care at home for yourself or a relative, do get in touch. We will give you an honest account of what we can offer.
