About Falcare

Falcare supports people in and around Falmouth in their own homes. We cover a broad range of needs, and what connects our work is that support is built around the individual rather than pulled from a standard menu. We support older people with the everyday tasks that have become harder, and people living with dementia, where continuity and patience achieve more than anything else we could offer. We work with adults who have a learning disability and with autistic adults, people managing mental health conditions, people living with a physical disability and people with sight or hearing loss. We also support younger adults, whose expectations of care are usually rather different from the standard picture. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is outstanding. We are proud of it, and we are also realistic about what it means. A rating captures a moment. What keeps care good is the daily effort, sending the same carers to the same people, ringing when a visit will be late rather than leaving somebody watching the clock, and listening properly when a family tells us something is not working. If you are considering care at home in this part of Cornwall, we would rather have a straightforward conversation about what we can offer than rely on the rating to speak for us.
