About Phoenix Care

We are Phoenix Care Cornwall, based in Penzance and supporting people in their own homes across the far west of the county. We work with older people and people living with dementia, adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, people managing a mental health condition, people with a physical disability or a visual or hearing impairment, and younger adults who need support to live independently. Working at this end of Cornwall means being honest about geography. Rounds are planned around real travel times so that visits are not cut short to make up a schedule, and we would rather turn down work than accept a package we cannot cover properly. For people living alone in fairly remote spots, our visit is often the main contact of the day, and the time it takes to sit and talk is part of the job rather than an extra. Support ranges from a short daily call to several visits covering personal care, medication, meals and help around the house. We support people to keep doing whatever they still can, and we adjust as needs change. Our carers are trained and supervised properly, and we work alongside district nurses, GPs and social workers where they are involved. Our most recent CQC overall rating is good.
