About Harbour Housing Services
We are Harbour Housing, and we provide support to adults in their own homes in and around Par in Cornwall. A good deal of our work is with people whose lives have been affected by alcohol or drug use, alongside people living with mental ill health, people with physical disabilities and older people who need help to carry on living independently. Where somebody is rebuilding a life after addiction, support has to be practical and it has to be steady. That usually means helping somebody keep a tenancy going, manage money, shop and cook, get to appointments and keep hold of a routine, and it means being the reliable presence that notices early when things are slipping and does something about it. We work without judgement and without pretending the risks are not there, we talk about them openly with the person and the professionals involved, and we look for ways to support somebody safely rather than simply refusing. Many of those we support are younger adults. Our aim is always to work out what somebody can already do and where they genuinely need us, and then to step back wherever stepping back is right. We are registered with the Care Quality Commission. Please get in touch.
