About Us
Lobswood House is a residential care home in Littlehampton. We support older people who can no longer manage on their own, including those living with dementia and those living with mental health conditions.
Our work is the everyday sort: helping people wash and dress, making sure medication is taken as prescribed, cooking meals that people actually look forward to and making sure the day has some shape to it. For residents living with dementia, we keep routines steady and faces familiar, because that does more to settle somebody than anything else we could offer.
We want to be open with you about our position. Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is requires improvement. We are working through the findings, with particular attention to record keeping, staff supervision and how consistently care plans are followed, and we would far rather discuss that with you directly than have you discover it elsewhere. Relatives are part of that conversation and we would encourage anyone considering the home to ask us hard questions.
Respite stays are available alongside permanent places, which can give a family carer a genuine break.
We are close to the centre of Littlehampton and visitors are welcome. Please ring if you would like to come and look round.
