About Us

Our home on Beach Road in Littlehampton is a residential care home for adults with a learning disability and autistic adults, including younger adults building a life of their own. It is a house in the town rather than a unit set apart from it, and the people who live here are involved in how their home runs.

Support is worked out one person at a time. Some residents want help with most parts of the day; others need very little practical help but depend on us for routine, encouragement and staff who understand how they communicate and what a hard day looks like for them. We take our time at the start and we listen to the people who know somebody best.

Everyday life means the ordinary things: cooking, shopping, laundry, keeping your own room as you want it, choosing what to do at the weekend and getting out locally, including down to the seafront. We support people to do what they can for themselves, even when that takes longer than doing it for them.

Our staff are trained in communication and in supporting somebody who is distressed, and we keep the team consistent so people are not constantly adjusting to new faces.

Respite stays are available and give family carers a proper break. Please get in touch if you would like to come and see the house.
