About Us
We are Henley House, a residential care home in Telford. We support adults living with mental health conditions, including younger adults, and we also offer respite stays.
Much of what we do is about structure without rigidity. For a lot of the people who live here, a predictable day, a decent meal, a proper night's sleep, medication that is right and taken, and somebody who notices how you are doing make the difference between coping and struggling. So we pay attention to routine, and to the quieter signs that somebody is finding things harder than usual.
Equally, this is a home and not a treatment programme. People come and go, see their families, keep up their own interests and make their own choices about how they spend the day. Where somebody wants to work towards living more independently, we support that too, and we would rather help them try than keep them safe and stuck.
Respite stays give carers at home a genuine break, and they let somebody try the place without committing to anything.
We have not yet received an overall rating from the Care Quality Commission. Until we have, please come and see the home and ask us detailed questions about staffing, training and how support is planned here.
