About Us
Bennett House is a residential care home in Telford. We support older people needing help with daily living, including those living with dementia, those living with mental health conditions, those with a physical disability and those whose sight or hearing is impaired. We also support some younger adults.
What we provide is help with the everyday: getting washed and dressed, medication given properly, meals cooked here, support to move about safely and staff available through the night. What we try hardest to get right is the manner of it, because being helped with intimate things should feel unhurried and ordinary rather than clinical.
For residents living with dementia we keep the day predictable and the staff around them consistent. Where sight or hearing is impaired we keep belongings where they are expected and check we have been understood. For people living with mental health conditions, consistency and staff who stay steady when things are difficult count for more than any particular approach.
Respite stays are available alongside permanent places.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Families in Telford and Wrekin are welcome to visit. Please ring and we will arrange a time.
