About Us
Farmhouse Residential Rest Home is a care home in Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire. We provide a permanent home for adults with a range of needs, and we aim for a household where people are known properly rather than managed efficiently.
Most of the people living here receive residential care. We help with personal care, medication, meals, mobility and company, and we bring in community health professionals when something more clinical is needed. We support residents living with dementia, where familiar staff and a routine that does not shift about are the things that genuinely help. We also support adults with a learning disability or autism, adults living with mental health conditions, people with physical disabilities and people with a visual or hearing impairment, which means adapting how we communicate and how we assist person by person rather than running one approach for everybody. We support younger adults as well, and we do not assume their interests or routines match those of our older residents.
Respite stays are available, giving family carers a real break and allowing somebody to try the home before making a permanent decision.
Our most recent overall rating from the Care Quality Commission is good. Please visit on an ordinary day, speak to the people who live here and form your own impression of the place.
