About Us
Here at Tickford Abbey, we provide residential care for older adults in the heart of Newport Pagnell, Milton Keynes. We support people living with dementia, those with physical disabilities, and individuals who may need a shorter stay with us for respite. Whatever brings someone through our doors, we work to make sure they feel genuinely at home.
We know that choosing a care home is one of the most significant decisions a family can make, and we do not take that lightly. From the very first conversation, we aim to be straightforward and honest with people, taking the time to understand what matters most to each individual before they move in. That understanding shapes everything we do, from daily routines to mealtimes to how we spend time together as a community.
Our team has a real mix of experience and skill, and we are proud of the relationships our staff build with the people in our care and their families. Good care is built on trust, and trust takes time and consistency. We work hard to make sure the same familiar faces are around, so that residents and their loved ones always feel they know who to turn to.
We were rated Good by the Care Quality Commission at our most recent inspection, which reflects the commitment of everyone who works here. We do not rest on that, though. We are always looking at how we can improve and listening carefully to feedback from residents and families.
Tickford Abbey is part of the Newport Pagnell community, and that connection matters to us. Whether someone is joining us for a short respite stay or making their permanent home with us, we want their experience here to be warm, respectful, and genuinely supportive of who they are.
